My problem with weaponmaster training is that they NERFED the weapons and specs just so we could equip them. Like I am not excited for using a hammer on weaver when they nerfed weaver or nerfed mace to the ground on engineer ( so how can I be excited to use it on holosmith? ) makes zero sense

Condi Virtuoso or Mirage or in case you want the backup of playing Necro and Ele. Let's be honest, mesmer isn't liked by the Anet balance team you never know when it'll be cked and kitten around. Wait, what am I saying it's already cked and kitten around a lot. People in these forum have some high amount of copium with 'wait, mirage is good in OW for fighting ONE single boss for 7 mins SINGLE target only', 'wait chrono can heal and its off meta and kewl even though we agree it's trash as a serious healer' Or ' Virtuoso is good in OW because your clones don't disappear when it's a cheap iced latte tier weakkk to play in OW '. There are people who still think that inspiration is good sustain because wow my clone healz after they lose so much dmg from using that line in the first place. It's a bigger trap than voting for Trump and the most useless sustain. They don't even realize that you don't have to make the same defense for the three necro specs or the three ele specs. You can literally play them ALL and scourge healer or tempest healers aren't a meme like chrono healer is.

Regardless of that. farming and meta events is not where any of the mesmer specs excel at either way so even if Hizen didnt account for that does that matter? The best would be a virtuoso because your clones dont disappear but youre also extremely fragile that youll be deleted by a sniff. People joke abt eles but they have more sustain if they are 'playing' their elemental rotations. I have already switched to Ele and Im having a blast with all the 3 Ele specs. ( same for necro but you cannot seriously say that abt all 3 mesmer specs. Like previously said the core mesmer is better at the job lmao )

It would be nice if we had a relic and sigils that enhanced our unique identity as mesmers instead of nerfing everything give us other buildstyles to play. Yeh, good thread.

I meant to say mirage is only good when solo bossing in reply to them saying to pLAy MiRage and mirage is fine for them so the whole mesmer class is fine when 2 of our specs arent even featured in OW builds anymore.

Let me tell you what the concern is. CORE mesmer is better than mirage at doing the open world things. Mirage is only good when youre fighting a single target for 'extended periods of time' which is 10% of OW. Lets not even talk abt virtuoso and chrono becuase hizen also 'skipped' them in his builds....

The only GOOD thing to play mesmer in OW is to be someones SLAVE for a portal in case they can't reach a point in map.

You dig yourself into your own answer. If you goto the SAME video youre talking about youll notice how hizen completely skips chrono and virtuoso and explains why. Mirage is only good for bosing but then WHAT? Lit any other cspec would be better at doing events or metas.

Add another nerf to the list after todays patch like WTF are they smoking. the BEST thing in todays patch notes was that mesmer got lowest nerfs. Atleast, they know that we are already disabled...

I'd argue that Cid is Taimi if not more experienced and 'world famous'. The WOL has a bunch of characters like Taimi on his side. Innovative tech types. Y'shtola is super intelligent and cautious as well so it'd be very hard to trick the WOL who discusses everything with the scions. Not to mention, the WOL's personality is not the type to fight at all. They'd always rather not fight. Usually take many hits before hitting back. Infact, the WOL only loses their temper when you hurt their friends. So you could do that to incite a fight. Our commander on the other hand is way more likely to be tricked into a battle.
