  1. If they ever rework Warrior's spear skills again, I hope they take from Captain's ideas on how to go about reworking them.
  2. Yeah. I refuse to believe any of the devs actually played as a Warrior regularly. With the amount of outdated skill and trait designs and bugs that still persist on Warrior as a whole, some even from the launch of the game itself, there just can't be people on the dev playing Warrior. Especially with these balance patches that either seem to add random changes on Warrior that ignore core issues, or outright nerfing it as soon as it gets fun to play. If there is someone on the dev team who does play Warrior for an extended period of time, then whatever feedback they gave to the rest of the devs on Warrior's current state in the game, must have been ignored time and time again.
  3. When you put it all like that, it's almost as if they hate Warrior, with an undying passion. But that couldn't be it, right? Right? Joking aside, I have to wonder why Warrior is in this position in the first place. Why can't we just have something nice, for once, for Warrior. What is their grudge against this profession?
  4. There were people who did exactly that, switched over to other professions, then came back to Warrior and noticed how none of its skill and trait design or bugs haven't changed since the game's launch. Also, any fun additions during their time away from Warrior, like Arc Divider's 3 spin animation or spear as of recently, were either taken out of the game or nerfed heavily. Warrior mains have tried, and I mean really, really tried to be civil in their critiques of the profession's state in the game, and they go unheard; Especially, over the change of Arc Divider. That would frustrate anyone wanting their profession to break out of its limited 2012 gameplay design, and wants it modernized like the other professions. Players shouldn't have to be forced into another profession, because one got the short end of the stick, and is beaten with it. At this point, what choice is there to make their voices heard other than voting with their wallet? I admit, that's what I'm doing right now. I haven't brought any expansions past Path of Fire, because of how lackluster the Bladesworn is, especially right now after 2 years of it being in the game.
  5. I have to respect Mukluk for listing out the Warrior bugs in a dedicated video. He might be one of the few content creators that acknowledges the problems of Warriors. Helps that he actually play tests builds and suffers them first hand, literally, because that quickness berserker build did hurt his hand, I believe.
  6. I've stopped playing for some months now, as other games actually allow for the fantasy and fun of Warrior classes. Its so weird for a class that's been in MMOs for decades, and is one of the first things people point to, besides mages and rogues, as a figure of this genre, getting absolutely shafted in the development sense for this game. Like, this class has three different costs when it comes to using their Profession Mechanic, for one skill. Where instead of its effect activating on simple activation of the Burst Skill, it has to connect and hit an enemy, including doing basic functionality like healing your allies. And most of the Warrior's traits are also tied to being activated, on hit. Plus, there's the cooldown too. So, its a combination using the Profession's resource gauge, Adrenaline, as a cost to use a Burst Skill, then the effects of the skill, other than damage, requires on hit contact to activate, then the cooldown afterwards. Meanwhile, other professions can just use their resource to activate their skills, with no "on-hit" requirements for the secondary effects. With warrior, its even worse when in a support role, because you have to be closer to their enemies, than you are with your allies, to heal your allies... It's maddening design.
  7. When I came back to GW2, It was long after they changed Arc Divider and before I could get the Berserker Elite Specialization. So I never got to experience it as it originally was. So cool...
  8. I noticed a pattern in your posts, of using "^^" so overtly whenever you comment on Warrior. It doesn't seem you're genuine in what you're saying. Sorry, but its hard to see Warrior as "OP", even before the last two patches of Spear nerfs, except for some setups involving Spellbreaker. Like I said in one of my earlier posts, its not that its "OP" but that its new enough for people to want to test it and try it out, and its the first decent weapon in awhile that is closer to the power and functionality of other professions, while most of the Warrior's other weapons still have bugs and dated skill design, since game's launch. I would say Reaper, Ranger, and especially Guardian are outright OP in comparison. And that's kind of the point of the issue with Warrior. Why choose Warrior, other than the concept of it, when Guardian does what it does, but with greater ease? Even Reaper's Greatsword skills blow Warrior's Greatsword out of the water. If you're having fun with Warrior as it is, then fine. But it's lack of upkeep and polish in terms of power and functionality with it skills, traits, and profession mechanic, are things that shouldn't be ignored.
  9. Same here. I only brought some of the LWS (The rest I got free from logging in) and expansions up to Path of Fire. The only reason I haven't bought End of Dragons, is because I'm disappointed with Bladesworn. It is by far the least used Elite Specialization for Warriors, and in general, for a good reason. I took a look of how it fails and flounders from others playing it, and that made it me not want to touch it. They can't hit a target if they're on slightly unleveled ground with the ranged slash projectile skill. That, and along with a list of other problems. If nothing else, it is a painful example of how neglected Warrior is. If they can fix or alter the functionality of other the Profession Weapons, Traits, Skills, etc. for the better, then what's stopping them in the case of Warrior?
  10. A short video I found recently that sums up the current state of Warrior and answers the question of, "Should it be played?".
  11. I watched that stream he praised the Sept.10th Warrior nerfs and him saying what happened to Spear Swipe was "reasonable", and acting like Warrior would still be the best DPS in slot profession in WvW, in his own words. Here's the video, I have it auto play on the warrior segment.
  12. If true, that is insane. The other weapons for Power builds are horribly buggy and/or outdated. The Warrior's Spear shouldn't be punished for the lack of developer upkeep on those other weapon types. The overt use of Spear is because it is new and because it has, or had, a more put together skill kit than other weapons. This is all so maddening... The part of me wanting to quit playing as a Warrior is growing stronger every time with this garbage of balancing.
  13. It's envious that they got Greatsword on Guardian and Revenant, working functionally well on the first try.
  14. I salute you on writing all of this in a clear, concise and comprehensive way. I admire your patience outlining everything about why us, who care about Warrior, are angry and disappointed with what Arena Net choose to "Balance" I believe that if someone still doesn't understand, after reading all of what you wrote in that post, they have to be willfully ignorant, or trolling. I thank you for your service!
