  1. Whys wvw not have an exclusive infusion that glows n stuff? Whys the skirmisher vendor have the same items from 5 years ago? Whys this and whys that about WVW? Whenever u get these kinds of questions in ur head just auto pop ur brain with "oh ya, anet doesnt care and is lazy"
  2. Personally build my d/d berserker weaver on the understanding that within 5 seconds ive dropped all my damage and either 1) im dead or 2) ive blown my escape cooldowns and need to run away. Sometimes before I initiate combat I'm already dead. I've had 2 harpies both crit me and set off my arcane shield IE without it I would have been dead. There are some instances, like when I'm about to solo a group or 4-5+ npcs where I'm always having to switch into my weapon evades which only last 1/2 a second and move that into a weaver evade while dodging like crazy. Its insane the amount of effort I have to put into doing things. I did a minstrel sword/dagger weaver with earth/water and max for healing. My limit was 8 monsters I could solo without too much trouble. The problem is the damage is just so low the fight takes forever. I can't do any of this stuff with a staff. Staff is just horrible.
  3. I'm doing d/d weaver with berzerker. Been through all the story quests like that and its hard sometimes when monsters kill u in 2 hits, so u gotta be smart and fast and even then sometimes u will just die. I did fire/arcane/weaver and took fire for damage and arcane/weaver for barriers/survival. Hit the medium 4m hp golem for 5k dps. Switched to fire/air/weaver and took nothing but damage increases, which in open world or anything would mean I'm just basically dead if I get hit twice by some random monster. Hit the medium 4m hp golem for 7k dps. But you cannot change the damage output of a power elementalist without creating a 1-2 shot elementalist which will down anyone with light armor in wvw/pvp. So there you have it. Weak by default because theres no way to fix it. You will get rare instances where you pop arcane power and burning speed into a group of enemies for 9k and firegrab for 9k. But firegrab works about 60% of the time so ... 9 years they couldn't fix the targeting issue with it. Thought I'd chime in on elementalist issues. Have fun.
  4. I dunno what bug it is or why people are not bringing it up but a willbender will literally be 2500 range away from you in 1 second somehow. I've been on my willbender and theres no skill there which would allow you to travel that far away. There is obviously something happening here that is not right and people are abusing it and not reporting it and alot of people are tired of it.
  5. Class and population balance aside, obviously those issues will never get addressed, why are there literally no changes in the wvw game? Theres literally 3 (albeit mostly lazy trash skins) new armors to aquire for pve but if I rank to 10000 after 50000 hours of gameplay I receive the exact same rewards offered to me at rank 1500 that I achieved 8 years ago? Even the skills you upgrade (treb, guards, cat) with ranks is obsolete after rank 1500. Aside from skins for our cats (which are very popular in wvw) theres nothing. Theres no skins for our catapults to make them look more roman or a trebucet skin thats skritts trying to load a primative mortar or a ram skin that looks like 5 quaggans throwing buckets of water into the door. I understand "make it realistic" but when I see 50 guys in a zerg all standing together on the same terrain tile "realistic" just doesnt seem like what you are after. I'm not sure what you guys have against increasing revenue or why you continue to pay people who are obviously not doing their jobs at anet. Surely anyone would notice people paid money to upgrade gathering tools or upgrade backpacks or mount skins. Would those streams of revenue not also apply to the land of wvw where nothing changes? Could you include siege skins once every 6 months into your cycle or is that "impossible" with the current workers? Is it easy to justify losing revenue to a corporate board every week? Is it possible for me to turn in my rank points after I've ranked up everything into something useful? Is that too much to ask? Why is the pvp and wvw armor the exact same as it was 9 years ago? Is there nobody at the company who sits there and says well if theres even 1000 players on each server and 50% of them buy gems using real dollars then if we add 3 more skins every year to the wvw/pvp cache then we will increase revenue? Is the team so adamant about placing 10,000 npc critter rats in new kaineg that one or two of them don't have spare time every week to work on adding 1 new skin every year for revenue? Then maybe instead of thinking about downsizing server capacity you could instead think about upgrading server capacity because extra revenue means being able to progress your company. Whoever is in charge needs to really be reprimanded and his team needs to be more focused. Stop trying to balance the game based on a foundation that doesnt work and majority of people don't like and instead focus on upgrading aspects of the game you are GOOD at upgrading and give them to your playerbase in wvw/pvp. Maybe then you can start to add more employees after seeing revenue increase. Just a thought after so many years and so little done for anything in wvw you should be thankful anyone still working on wvw at anet has a job. Thanks have a good day!
  6. Theres really no way you could increase the damage of a dagger dagger ele without seriously messing up the gameplay of anyone else also wearing light armor. Maybe give air trait some kind of armor penetration? I dunno. When the game started I made a water/air ele with super speed and chilled and I would do conditions on people then run away as fast as I could and that was fun because not many classes could catch me. NOW, theres dozens of classes that seem so mobile I have no idea how I'd ever get away from them unless they just let me leave. And thats it. The game has continued to move along and ele is just the same as before. I'd try catalyst again I suppose, but I'd rather just play a different class now tbh. I made a DE and have been playing that and its alot of fun. Its nice to just stealth away from everything. Last night in wvw vs a boonblob of about 30 people stacked in the same tile +probably 10ish others so around 40-50 people basically standing ontop of eachother like circus freaks were at the intersection of the wall that leads to klovan's lord. I was in a omega golem at the middle of the stair case on the SE side. The boonblob ran towards me and I pushed golem 2 to spin on them and before my golem even started doing the attack the boonblob was already down the staircase and in the courtyard. The lag attack of the boonblob and having that many characters jammed up eachothers bh is just unbelieveable that any sane company would sponsor gameplay in that fashion. Can you imagine any game, counter strike, chess, diablo, starcraft, battlefield, league of legends, fortnite, where the objective was to stack as many characters in the same tile as you could? How much fun would that be and how many players would you lose over time to something like that? I dunno you can ask Anet that I guess they would know the answer.
  7. Been doing some d/d weaver. Tried catalyst dps in wvw, but it seems to work best as a celestial, which I'm not going to do because celestial weaver with sword is pretty good right now and I dont really have a desire to do that. I'd just share with you the wvw classes which have essentially been able to kill me in 1 second or less: Willbender Dragonhunter Revenant Herald Warrior Berserker Engineer Scrapper Holosmith Mechanist Ranger Soulbeast Thief Daredevil Deadeye Weaver Catalyst Mesmer Mirage Virtuoso Necromancer Reaper Scourge Harbinger Thats 24 classes which can do 12k damage in 1 second or less out of 36 available classes. That doesnt include the ones I havent run into who have basically just downed me at first sight. Before you just "get gud" realize how low 12k hps is and factor in that I have the least amount of armor and get hit for whatever your maximum damage is for your class. Let me add the classes that I've been able to kill in 1 second or less for comparison. Keep in mind I have 4 marauders items and the rest is all berserker. Thief Deadeye Elementalist Weaver Catalyst Ranger Soulbeast Virtuoso Mesmer Necromancer Reaper Scourge 12 of 36 I can kill in 1 second or less and 8 of them are all light armor wearing classes which you do not see much of anymore. In GW1 the workaround to this was that elementalists used elemental damage and not physical damage. Physical damage used toughness and armor as a deduction where elemental damage did the same amount unless your class had a elemental reduction trait/skill. This doesnt exist in gw2 and it shows. There are overwhelmingly more medium/heavy armor classes which can just wreck light armor classes and its not balanced at all. I don't even know why I bother to bring this up. We spent like 30 minutes in SMC last night trying to kill 30 boonballers who are all medium armor or heavy armor and spam boons while standing on the same tile. Its just... Thought I would mention it since seem to be the only d/d weaver I've seen playing since 2018.
  8. Firebrand in full minstrels: These are just my utility actions Aegis/Swiftness duration 33 seconds. 2 charges meaning 12 seconds of down time. Meaning I'm giving 4 people 2 blocks every 12 seconds and swiftness range 600. Regen 2500 duration 8 seconds and condition remove 2 conditions every 3 seconds range 450. Stability 5 seconds and resolution 5 seconds every 8 seconds range 450. Just these alone are OP as they are. The ratios from boon time to cooldown time are bonkers and the range is crazy. For example I switch to my minstrels staff weaver and I get: Stability 3 seconds every 12 seconds radius 240 Swiftness 16 seconds every 20 seconds radius 240 The ratios aren't even close. There are some classes which are designed better like the elementalist which have windows of weakness that are far longer then most other boon spamming classes. Firebrand is the melee class so shouldn't their boon range be 240 and the weaver is a long range so shouldn't their boons be 450 or 600? Its the opposite. The only people who can run in these boonblobs are people who have the game video settings on low or are running some 200fps super computer. I'm not that. In a zerg fight I'll get 5 fps, so I play my ele and get about 1/2 the actions during a fight that one of these nerds do playing a boonspammer. The designers obviously decided to help these elite nerds out by making supports which can spam boons with very small windows of vulnerability. Maguuma is anti-boonball. Long Live the Cloud!
  9. Celestial is like a um... like a fix all bandage for the games biggest problems. It lets people do things with their class that is abit outside the horrible stat allocations put into most of the armor. Toughness, Precision, Condition Damage anyone? No, lol. Just no, but its like that. 2 stats that u think oh ok and the third that is just not useful at all whatsoever with anything you are trying to do. Celestial kind of fixes that for us. Its good. The real problem is overtuned skills for certain classes and not for others. Like have you ever fought a ranger using 2 daggers and a shortbow? Nope. If you did then they died and died and died and never was seen again. The problem with the game is theres just so many skills, weapons and they cannot balance them all so they focus on the popular ones and do that. Its not their fault they do what they can. I'd like to believe thats what they do because that would be the right thing to do. I do believe that if I'm a silver assaulter and I kill a diamond platinum legend then I should get a bonus % magic find chance on that bag they dropped. That is only fair. I see alot of new players because of EOD and I just feel bad because they are coming in to the most broken grouping of wvwers. The player count is low for those who have been here years and they have fine-tuned or are exploiting the FOTM and just destroy the newbies. Literally anyone new who tries WVW is about to get gaped. I feel bad because this wvw mode is stuck in a downward spiral and the guys making decisions just do not care about it. I guess they get paid either way.
  10. Hey so I was throwing toilet paper again at the enemy spawn point today. Its really a shame we can't just jump into their lion's arch and become some kinda of boss event. Can you imagine? Like the Aetherblade mini events, but with wvwers who have escaped the mist and land in the lion's arch? every player and npc would be red and we just try to get as many bags as possible for like 20 minutes of chaos LOL!! The stories would be great! Anyways! So I was throwing toilet paper at their spawn and I was thinking isn't there something else I can throw at them? Then I saw the water balloon bucket toy and I thought wow that looks like it might be fun! But then I was looking through the outfits and I couldn't find a single summer swimsuit outfit to change into to make it more fun? I guess thats just something we can't have? water balloons but not swimsuits? Ok I mean but its not as fun. T1 is funny now because all of us have been into T2 and theres literally NO people to play with in T2. We camped all of EBG for days before they were able to take their castles back its just a joke down there. So I think this week everyones been playing fairly well to try not to go to T2 its like a punishment all the big maps and nobody to play with is a joke! Anyway GL out there! Oh. LOL I did see 1 poor guy spellbreaker playing. That poor guy probably spend so much time making that armor and stuff and now hes broke. Oh well. Next time I'll hit him with a waterballoon (in a swimsuit??) and maybe he will feel better.
  11. I dunno if you ever played GW1. The pvp was a royal rumble type of game with multiple teams and every game the best team was always 7 guardians and 1 dps. They literally boonblobbed around and just withered people because they could not die and that was the meta. 7 guardians and 1 dps. This game is exactly the same and wont change because they believe that is balanced its what 'wvw' is always balanced on for them. What you should be asking for is why the population is so high on friday but the servers cant take the amount of people who want to play, but the rest of the week the servers are majority empty. Is there a way for them to upgrade their servers so more people can play together or is it too expensive? If its too expensive why dont you create gem store items people like to buy to increase revenue?
  12. I don't roam. I roam in a golem. I'm berserker I'll never change. It used to be fine until people complained. Now they all run around quite abit more powerful than I, but I will continue as I have in the past. Zapping into boonblobs to see BLOCKED DODGE EVADE INVULNERABLE and on the rare time I hit It will be against a heavy armor class with protection for what seems like negative damage. Its cool. I'll ride my bird around.
  13. Just an example. I fought another berzerker ele and we used Fiery Rush which is the Fiery Greatsword skill. We both are hitting eachother into the 3000s. I fight a warrior using the very same attack and he is getting hit for 1.9k. His strongest attack on me was Fierce Blow for 10,600 damage. My highest damaging attack I even have in my arsenal Fiery Rush hit him for 6,942 damage. Thats a pretty high difference considering he has 20k hp and I have 12k. Thanks for your consideration but I'd rather you just leave my broken class alone so I can kitten around and pretend everything is fine.
  14. Hey, wow. D/D buff for the first time in years? Thanks. So basically I do wvw mostly. I havent even completed the eod quests I'm on a quest thats in a cave or something or up or down i cant figure out how to get to it so I kinda gave up on it for the last week and just been doing wvw. While your buffs to d/d are appreciated I don't think you really understand. Its impossible for me to solo 1v1 any class unless that class has no boons and is wearing cloth or is just afk. A medium armor/heavy armor with protection will kill me everytime. Even without those boons the damage ratio for me vs medium or heavy armor is too low. I will blow all my damage in the first 5 seconds and maybe get them to half or 3/4th HP. Within 2-3 hits from them I'm dead or running for the hills. Why do I play it? Because I like to lightning zap around its so cool looking and I love to whip people. Thanks. Also love the bird mounts put them in wvw and u will make more money thanks.
