  1. Don't grind 24/7, it's bad for you. Just play an hour or two.
  2. I think I'm repeating myself from a previous thread on the subject, but: DON'T TOUCH MY GOLEMS!!! Signed: a team of asuran golemancers (fully equipped with golem racial skills, golemancer runes, golem minis, golem backpacks and golem finishers B) ) Okay, I agree, they can be useful for RP purposes.
  3. They are still in game? It's about time they removed them. Those skills are only cluttering the skill choice menu.
  4. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Charr_female_heavy_armor looks fine to me.
  5. It was a nice quest. I would welcome more quests like this one. I might actually start playing actively again if there were more like this.I actually liked that it was slowly paced and time gated. Took me a week or two to finish it, but it was fun.The map currency grind was just like the Aurora one, and it wasn't really that hard. And if you are just starting it, you can actually focus on getting the map currencies while you are waiting for the next step to unlock. So just take your time and actually enjoy it.
  6. Given that guild in this game are only a chat tab, yeah they should add more of them.
  7. How about no.From 95% of the players. (because why not) You mean the 5% of players. Even after the introduction of the button there's only rarely a person using any novelty, and that's including the people who just sit in their throne in DR.Besides, would a toggle option in the settings really hurt your enjoyment that much?No I mean the 95% of people that are using them, and yes I did pull the number of my magical stats hat.I enjoy the addition and hope they add more thing to it. I'm fine with the toggle as long as it doesn't waste developers time.
  8. If you don't have the time to gather them then skip them. Focus your time on something else.
  9. Well if they add that I do hope they add a gizmo that lets me auto complete random content(raids, fractals, dungeons, pvp, wvw, world bosses, [put whatever you find annoying to do every day here]) every day.I'll pay up to 8k gems for it. :) Anyway if you find gathering the home nodes annoying just don't do it.We already got 50% gathering speed tools so use them.
  10. It won't work because eaters are supposed to eat a really small part of the used currency.I will try to explain this better: It's not something which is needed in order to make a profit or an equal exchange. The currency has no use once you hit 300% MF but it does still drop. Not knowing what would be avaible in the future, as for karma, tokens, golds, quartz and so on, we do simply not trash it. But since it'sNot usable for any recipeNot able to being refined into something else ( like bloodstone dust or other stuff which has multiple uses )Not able to be exchanged for itemsNot able to be stacked in bank ( but due to fact that you gain too much would be pointless. i do currently have around 400 slots occupied by exotic essences stacks ).Not able to be consumed because of the capNot used with any eater ( though it would be a joke because of the way you get it. I mean that eater would eat 6x250 and you will get XX x 250 per day ). We do currently save it ( i currently have 4 full characters, which due to MF stacks can't be played. Fortunately i don't play them but i am also gaining more MF so the problem is getting real ). Throw it away and your bags will be free. Or are you saving it just in case you can do something else with it?
  11. Being able to change MF for gold will lead to the need for even bigger gold sinks.I wonder how many of the game population achieved max MF.
  12. Well they could add NPC that accepts MF and in return gives you nothing.
  13. Very true. "Perfect balance" in a game is actually a bad thing. I'm terrible at explaining this kind of thing, so I'll let these guys do it instead: This video explains everything...And at the end brings you to the main problem of GW2 and why getting rid of traits would hurt balance more than help. The best way to balance the game is offer more choice, and more counters, and traits help with that. The problem with GW2 is that 9 professions, and 27 specializations (core builds+2 elite specs) aren't really enough, especially because the game repeats the same play-styles a lot. There's too much symmetry for the imbalance to work, and too much imbalance for symmetry to work. Because Arena net try to funnel players into the latest thing, core builds are seriously crippled vs elite builds because power creep. And yet sometimes using a core build allows you to get enough traits in to counter a specific elite spec, but because the numbers are seriously lacking, you can't really do that. HoT specs are more useful, but still, in many fields the new elites dominate. HoT are only really good for the extra tanky builds with chrono, tempest and druid shedding damage like crazy (a role that is now being taken over by some spellbreaker builds). And while there's specific identifiable strengths in builds, there's no identifiable counters for a lot of them. Lets analyse the problem with scourge:Scourge is overbearing because it can apply a crap ton of condis onto the enemy, all while doing spellbreaker's thing of denying boons. What would be the best counter? Yeah, another necro build, or marginally a Malix Revenant. So teams end up with two necros because the best counter for a necro is another necro, and playing necro, the duel vs other necro ends up with whoever uses Plague signet first, or has it on CD loses. (I used the word necro a lot...)So we need more traits? Well in that case they should start allowing equipping more than 1 elite specialization in future expansions.
  14. Yeah. And if the traits are removed, then maybe more skills can be added to improve build diversity.
  15. Why you might ask?Well currently traits affect multiple skills so balancing is slow and some trait lines are a must. And if the trait lines are dropped now new specializations will require only skills and mechanic, instead of new traits. So they can be implemented faster. And balancing skill vs skill might be way faster and easier. At the very least changing one skill won't change 4-5 like some traits. Bonus point: Removing the traits will remove all passive actions they do, bringing the game close to more active combat. (So no more random boons triggering just because I'm at 75% health). Discuss...
  16. This is mostly a time gated mechanic. I remember back in the day when people would buy 2 or 3 accounts just so they can craft multiple exotic swords faster.
  17. Before creating bookshelves I would like if they first update the interface for reading them. Reading a book 3 lines at a time is distracting and annoying.Maybe if books are added in the hero panel like the personal story.
  18. I enjoyed this mastery. It took me some tries to get it done but overall it was fun.And like many of the people already suggested, take your time to learn where most mats are located.Don't throw as soon as you get the mats and don't panic that you are running out of time.Try to be as close to him as possible before throwing. And never throw while he is moving. (Turn ground targeting for spells so you can aim better).
  19. Home Nodes aren't there to 'break even' you aren't supposed to become rich from them. They are something you get if you like the idea. Purchasable Shared Gathering Slots - just buy tool for every single alt you have if switching them or keeping them in shared slots is too hard for you. You will be helping ANET greatly by doing so. I usually switch them between characters. Ancillary Feature: Locked Shared Gathering Tool Slots - buy the tools again. Pin Character to Beginning of Character Menu this would be good.
  20. Once you max your luck the game should stop giving you any more luck.Done problem solved.
  21. I agree with you. A small toolbar would be really useful with the ability to add consumables or treasure maps, things like that
