  1. I want unique skins too. Way more than I would want any kind of compensation. Even if they dont make it now but just mention(commit) that they will upgrade the Legendary WvW/PvP Armor skins at a later date(way after EoD launches), that would be more than enough to make most of us in this situation happy. The fact that you have 0 incentive(see 0 reason) to ever make a Legendary WvW/PvP Armor if you own the Raid one is not good at all for the game. If you have Bifrost you still have reason to make Nevermore, the reason being the Legendary skin. Legendary skins are an important part of this game, so much that they are introducing Gen3 Legendary Weapons with EoD as one of their main selling points. Please ArenaNet, think this over.
  2. You can only wear 1 Armor at a time, so it is NOT you have 2 different legendary light armors to choose from, with the armory it is you have legendary armor or you dont since skinning the Legendary Armor is free. Let's take a look at what it will be like post Armory for a comparison. Someone has Ad Infinitum. Therefore their Status is have Legendary Backpack in Armory on all characters. Somehow they decide that they really like the skin on Warbringer too. They will craft Warbringer FOR THE SKIN and the fact that Warbringer is also a Legendary does not matter since their Status is already at have Legendary Backpack in Armory. Someone has Legendary Raid Light Armor. Therefore their Status is have Legendary Armor in Armory on all characters. Somehow they decide they really like the skin on Legendary WvW Light Armor. They will buy the Ascended T3 WvW Armor for the skin, and just stop there(because the T3 Ascended WvW Armor has the exact SAME skin as the Legendary WvW Armor). There is no benefit at all to them to even consider Legendarizing said WvW Armor since their Status is already at have Legendary Armor in Armory, so we conclude that nobody would waste a Legendary Armor's worth of mats on such an endeavor here. So it follows logic that if you currently have both the Legendary Raid Light Armor and the Legendary WvW Light Armor, you also have wasted a Legendary Armor's worth of mats, for the same reason(explained above) that no logical person who owns a Legendary Raid Light Armor would ever craft a Legendary WvW/PvP Light Armor post-Armory-patch. And there are definitely people in this situation because(see below) I quote from the wiki: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Legendary_armor Legendary armor was implemented with Living World Season 3 Episode 5 "Flashpoint" on May 2nd, 2017, with the Perfected Envoy armor sets made available for acquisition.[3] There are no plans to release another set in the future.[4] Legendary armor was introduced to PvP and WvW with the August 8th, 2017 balance patch. Both of which were before the announcement of Legendary Armory or how it will work. In regards to the compensation, ArenaNet has decided they will compensate only people who have say 2 sets of Legendary Raid Armor, but not those who have 1 set of Legendary Raid Armor and 1 set of Legendary WvW Armor. But both players are essentially in the same situation. For all intents and purposes, They are both at have Legendary Armor in Armory, and 1 Legendary Armor Skin(the raid one) to show for it. Why should one get compensated and not the other? What is compensation? Definition: something, typically money, awarded to someone as a recompense for loss, injury, or suffering. What is ArenaNet compensating for? The fact that you have more items than you can wear. However, they will not compensate you if you have Legendaries with different Legendary skins, because you are still getting the benefit of the unique skin(which is the reason why a LOT of people make Legendaries in the first place, the other reason being Legendary functionality convenience). But here we are, with more items than we can wear, and no other Legendary skin, yet no compensation.
  3. How would that work then if someone has 2 Conflux and 1 Transcendence? You get 2 Blue and 1 Red ball? I think it's programmed to have 1 spot for the Blue Ball and 1 spot for the Red Ball. Even if the effect stacks, you would get a brighter Blue Ball, but it wouldnt take the spot of the Red Ball, sadly.
  4. No, you are not getting it. The second person can put 3 sets of Armor in the Armory obviously, but you can only use 1 Armor at a time. So you equip 1 set of Legendary Armor, and you can skin over(at no Transmutation cost). Let's take your example in a different way: Player1 has 1 Legendary PvE Armor set, 1 Ascended WvW T3 Armor set Player2 has 1 Legendary PvE Armor set, 1 Legendary WvW T3 Armor set Player1 wears their Legendary PvE Armor and transmutes(free) their Ascended WvW T3 Armor skin on it. Player2 wears their Legendary PvE Armor and transmutes(free) their Legendary WvW T3 Armor skin on it. Both end up with Legendary Armor with Ascended WvW T3 Armor skin, since Ascended and Legendary WvW T3 Armor is the EXACT SAME SKIN. But Player2 has PAID WAY MORE for the SAME RESULTS since Player2 has spent Materials/Clovers/WvWTickets etc into making their Ascended WvW T3 Armor into Legendary. Now we introduce Player3 has 2 Legendary PvE Armor set. Player3 will end up getting compensation(as per ArenaNet's blogpost), while Player2 will not. So to sum it up, Player1 paid for 1 Legendary PvE Armor set, Player3 paid for 2 Legendary PvE Armor sets but will be compensated for 1 of them, Player2 paid for 2 Legendary(PvE and WvW) Armor sets but will not be compensated and ALSO does not even get a unique skin. So pretty much what this is saying here is: If you made both PvE and WvW Legendary Armors, you are screwed. If you made both PvE, WvW and PvP Legendary Armors, you are doubly screwed. Even in the future after the Armory hits, if you make WvW/PvP Legendary Armors then someday later you decide to make the PvE Legendary Armor, your first WvW/PvP Legendary Armor gets invalidated since you retain the Legendary Armor functionality, but you do not even have a skin from the 1st Legendary WvW/PvP Armor set to show for it. Everyone please be careful when making the decision whether to Legendarize the WvW/PvP Armor in the future, because if you somehow decide to go for the PvE one too at some point, you wasted a whole Legendary Armor's worth of mats.
  5. No No No, If you made both Twilight and Exordium, you get to keep BOTH Legendary Skins. For WvW/PvP Armor, there is NO Legendary Skin, it is just the same as the Ascended version before you Legendarized it. Say you craft 2 Legendary Backpacks, you can use both the Legendary Ad Infinitum skin and the Legendary Warbringer skin. But if you crafted 1 set of Legendary Raid Armor and 1 set of Legendary WvW Armor, you get the Legendary Raid skin and only the Ascended WvW T3 skin(since the Legendary WvW Armor does not have a unique skin). So you might as well have stopped at 1 Legendary Raid skin and 1 Ascended WvW T3 skin, because all the mats you threw into making that Ascended T3 WvW Armor into Legendary is now gone into thin air. You got nothing out of it(Not even a skin).
  6. I paid for a permanent Legendary, not a temporary one, so the "benefits of having them for a while" isnt a valid argument. If one day they delete your Eternity and say that's fine because you still got to use it for 8 years, is that okay with you? The skin is just an Ascended Armor skin, there is no Legendary WvW/PvP Armor skin.
  7. The original blog post says they will do something about people in our situation AFTER the patch hits. Here I quote it for you > We’ve identified a small number of players (approximately 0.008%) who own more account-bound copies of a unique legendary item than their Legendary Armory can hold. We’ll reach out to those players in the days following the release with information about how to resolve the issue.
  8. Conversely, if you already had the Legendary Raid Light Armor, and you were about to craft the Legendary WvW armor, you wouldnt anymore with this new Armory announcement, right? Because that would be an obsolete thing to do and you would get nothing from it since the skin is the same. So your situation does not apply.
  9. True, but here they are compensating a select few but not others, for a similar situation.
  10. You're crafting it after, that's completely different. You are making an informed decision based on everything you have knowledge on and are willing to throw the gold at it for the benefits of a skin. Nobody who has crafted 2 of the same armor sets were informed of such, else they would not have done so. Edit: Like I said, I would be satisfied with either compensation like 2 of the SAME Legendary armor, or even inclusion of a new unique skin for the WvW/PvP armors.
  11. Put it this way: If you have 2 Legendary Raid Light Armor sets, ArenaNet is going to compensate you, according to the blogpost, as you fall in the 0.008% category. If you have 2 Legendary WvW Light Armor sets, ArenaNet is going to compensate you too, same as above. If you have 1 Legendary Raid Light Armor set and 1 Legendary WvW Light Armor set, ArenaNet will NOT compensate you. No, unlike Legendary Backpacks/Weapons which all have unique skins, you did NOT get an extra skin for the Armor, the skin is the same as the Ascended version(same skin as the precursor before you Legendarize it). Do you see the discrepancy? Why did people make 2 sets of Armors? Because they made them before the Armory was announced. Did you get a "convenience for it for an amount of time"? Of course, for the amount of work it took to make it, it better have. Would you be okay if tomorrow ArenaNet deleted your Eternity from your Account because you got to use it for 8 years and that is ample "convenience for however long"? I think not?
  12. What you said about not raiding makes no sense? Read: People who have BOTH Raid and WvW Armor before the Armory was announced. If people took only the WvW route for Legendary Armor that's their own business. We are talking about people who did both sets of Armors.
  13. I am going to put this here too. Hopefully we get a reply. Say you have a set of Legendary WvW Light Armor and a set of Legendary Raid Light Armor. You will put the Legendary Raid Light Armor set into the Armory. You could transmute the WvW Armor skin on it sure. However, the skin is something you already got from the Ascended version before you Legendarized it. For WvW/PvP Armor, you have now lost a whole Legendary worth of mats(since the skins are the same as the Ascended version) because you Legendarized a whole WvW Armor set, farmed thousands of WvW Tickets, T6 mats, Clovers etc for NOTHING. What do you get to show for it? You cannot do anything with the 2nd Legendary Armor set after the Armory update, and the skin is just the same as the Ascended one, so you might as well not have upgraded it. For Backpacks I can understand, it comes with an unique skin to show for it, so that's fair. But for Armor, you could have crafted a whole different Legendary with all those wasted mats instead of this... This isnt exactly fair now, is it? Do you get the same kind of compensation like people who have 2 sets of Legendary Raid Light Armor(the 0.008% population mentioned)? Or perhaps ArenaNet will add a new skin for the Legendary WvW/PvP Armor sets? An extra effect perhaps like the pommel on Eternity?
  14. Gonna put this on the first post as it is explained better. Situation: Player1 has 1 Legendary PvE Armor set, 1 Ascended WvW T3 Armor set Player2 has 1 Legendary PvE Armor set, 1 Legendary WvW T3 Armor set Legendary Armory arrives. Player1 wears their Legendary PvE Armor and transmutes(free) their Ascended WvW T3 Armor skin on it. Player3 will end up getting compensation(as per ArenaNet's blogpost because they are part of the 0.008%), while Player2 will not. In the future, even after the Armory arrives, if you make Legendary WvW/PvP Armors then someday later you decide to make the Legendary PvE Armor, your first Legendary WvW/PvP Armor will get completely invalidated since you retain the same Legendary Armor functionality(be it PvE or WvW/PvP Armor), but you will not even have a skin from the 1st Legendary WvW/PvP Armor set to show for it. This is different for Backpacks and Weapons, because those still provide a unique skin(example Warbringer skin & Ad Infinitum skin). TLDR Be careful when making the decision whether to Legendarize the WvW/PvP Armor in the future, because if you somehow decide to go for the PvE one too at some point, you wasted a whole Legendary Armor's worth of mats and will not even have a unique Legendary WvW/PvP Armor skin to outweigh the cost. EDIT: Compensations are out, and those who had 2 of the same Legendary Raid Light Armor got to choose another Legendary(not a Legendary skin) WvW/PvP Armor. Oh the irony. I guess we do end up in the same place in the end... 🤣
  15. With the latest data-mining, they are bringing back the Queensdale Academy Outfit once AGAIN!(it was back during March Sales) WITHOUT the Wands AGAIN!. Last seen September2020... I guess they really dont want our money lol.
  16. Exactly. I play all game modes too. My thought was that this ability to make allies around you move faster(which btw already exists in WvW) would be helpful when a veteran player brings one of their friends(new player) over to GW2. Making a Mastery for it or making it an inherent ability to the Warclaw does not matter much. This ability is technically of "no benefit" to the mount rider personally. Veteran players have gone to great lengths to help new players for a long time. There are even people who "suffered through Raids"(because they dont like Raids) for enough Magnetite Shards just to get the White Mantle Portal Device, so that they could use this item in HP Trains and JPs to help other/new players. Getting extra tools to help out new players should be a welcomed sight in the spirit of GW2 Community. Instead, we have people here complaining out loud to completely remove the Warclaw from PvE...
  17. What resources are you even talking about? The ability literally already exists in WvW. Just make it apply to PvE too, with a Mastery or without. I dont get why people are so negative about adding things to help new players, they would literally rather remove things from the game(like above mentioned removing Warclaw completely from PvE) which achieves nothing. Nobody is forcing you to use a Warclaw or to even get one, just like nobody is asking you put up your mentor tag and forcing you to help new players. Not wanting to help people is one thing, voting against help towards newer players is another. Perhaps you should go spend your "resources" on something else.
  18. Warclaw is the only mount without a Mastery, and it's actual effects only work in WvW. There is currently no reason to use the Warclaw in PvE over another mount. Warclaw only does as much damage as a Raptor, without the CC, moves slower, and dashes less distance. The other mounts either move faster, do more damage, have CC, heal/barrier/revive allies. The suggested Mastery for Warclaw would be something it already does in WvW: "While mounted, periodically grant nearby allies the ability to run at Warclaw speed" 1. It could become a tool to help new players(who do not have a mount) in PvE since a mounted friend could speed boost them by riding the Warclaw alongside them. 2. It could help boost running NPCs for events(such as Snowden DRM's Kodan or Caledon DRM's Tengu).
  19. It's quite easy to do a side by side comparison. As mentioned by other people here, Vitality gear is not worth it as you will lose Precision. Assuming the current build/equipment has 100% Burning Duration, 2217 Power and 1000 Vitality. Here's the breakdown of Zeal + Sword of Justice -vs- Virtues + Purging Flames: Sword of Justice vs Purging Flames SoJ applies 16s of Burning, with 4 charges, hits 4 times each(16hits), on a 16s cooldown(Total is 16x4 = 64s Burning). PF applies 8s of Burning, hits 8 times, on a 20s cooldown(Total is 8x8 = 64s Burning). SoJ does 1700 strike damage x4(ammo) = 6800. PF does 1000 strike damage only. Kindled Zeal vs Power of the Virtuous Kindled Zeal will provide stats of 10% x 2217 (Power) = 221 Condition Damage Power of the Virtuous will provide stats of 10% x 1000 (Vit) = 100 Condition Damage Power Bonus traits comparison Zeal - 7% Fiery Wrath, 5% Symbolic Exposure = 12% Virtues - 12% Inspired Virtue(Assuming ALL Boons) = max 12% Other relevant traits comparison Zeal - Symbolic Power does 30% more damage from Symbols only, a very minor DPS boost Virtues - Inspiring Virtue gives 10% strike damage for 6s only OR Glacial Heart gives 1 extra hit value of 1/2 an Axe1's damage, also a very minor DPS boost. Power of the Virtuous gives 15% reduced recharge on Virtues. Permeating Wrath gives 4.75s Burning every 3 hits instead of 5. Irrelevant traits Zeal - Zealot's Resolution is unlikely to ever activate consistently. Virtues - Virtue of Resolution has no effect on DPS. Summary: Skills - Both SoJ and PF have the same 64s Burning duration. SoJ has 4s lower recharge but has 1/2s cast time on each ammo. SoJ hits 16 times(4 each) thus triggering passive VoJ(every 5 hits), so 3 times. PF hits 8 times thus triggering passive VoJ(every 3 hits due to PW trait), so 2 times. SoJ does way more Power damage than PF. Traits - Zeal has 121 more Condition Damage than Virtues. Power of the Virtuous will allow for Tome1 to have 4.5s less recharge. Permeating Wrath will trigger more 4.75s Burning from your hits(Including Glacial Heart if taken). Power Bonuses are mostly irrelevant on a condition build, but note that Zeal still has the edge over Virtues. As you can see, the builds are pretty equal after the breakdown. The only thing that is hard to quantify and really needs testing is Zeal's extra 121 Condition Damage stat + 5800 more strike damage from SoJ -vs- Virtue's Permeating Wrath + 4.5s less recharge on Tome1 Take note that the Virtues build is much easier to play(put PF down and forget about it rather than constantly casting SoJ), but also note that everyone is already used to(and knows the rotation of) the Zeal build, as it was previously meta. EDIT: I just tested both builds with same rotation on golem, Zeal seems to have more DPS at the start(because 4 ammo SoJ vs 1 cast PF) and also more DPS throughout. EDIT2: There seems to be a higher DPS Virtues build if you take Archivist of Whispers instead of Unrelenting Criticism, the rotation is quite different with 8 pages on Tome.
  20. Items they forgot to update: Solaria (Infused) Lunaria (Infused) Attuned Solaria (Infused) Attuned Lunaria (Infused). I have checked that regular Lunaria and Attuned Lunaria do have the Concentation and Expertise, so they just forgot all 4 of the Infused versions.
  21. Removing the initial cast is a good thing, but removing the final more powerful burst as well just makes Mantras into Shouts with a different name. Removing skills is also bad for the game. My suggestion is Reverse Mantra, make the 1st strike as the powerful burst, while subsequent burst will be weaker. Just dont make the powerful burst too much stronger than the weaker ones, otherwise we're back to "dont use the mantra at some point" problem. Or give the 1st powerful burst a slightly longer recharge.
  22. The way it is worded seems to imply that each Season replay will give 1 item. Combine all 4 in the forge to get the Legendary Amulet. Now, it is without saying that Legendaries tend to be on the pricier side of things. It is possible they will give you a Legendary Amulet with no effect(Slumbering), and to upgrade it to one with effects(or possibly even combine into a new effect with Aurora/Vision/Coalescence) will require resources. This might of course include crafting with Xunlai Electrum Ingots and other materials such as 250 of each Bloodstone Rubies, ... , Shard of Crystallized Blood of Jormag. Or they go the usual route and give you the Precursor by playing the Seasons, and you have to upgrade it with Gift of Money.
  23. Apparently not. Seems Arenanet is hellbent on disappointing us in every way :(
