You destroy the beautiful fractal CMs, which are visited a lot every day, so that you can push new content. If this is necessary, you should consider whether the new content is good enough. Actually, new content should appeal to players immediately. Why hasn't the drop rate in Cm Fractals been minimized and Mystic Coins are also added to the new attack missions with a low chance. The fractals have always been one of my few motivations to log in daily. Unfortunately, this has now been done since February 28th

Arguments that do not require your use of a time machine are often more effective.

Let's see, base game personal story conclusion, Victory or Death, rewards you with a Pact weapon (Unique skin, yay! This one is actually not bad), 3 loot bags, 10 bags of loot (not the same thing, lol), 10 Dragonite, 5 Spirit Shards, 1000 Karma, 5 Mentorship tomes and one piece of bad rare leveling gear, and... that's it. That's the reward. For about 15-20 hours of content.

Actually you got MUCH more than this over the course of the 15-20 Hour core story. There's been several decent bags of crafting materials. More bags of unidentified gear than you can shake a stick at and at least 2 Black Lion Keys. Countless gear upgrades, many of them level relevant....the list goes on.
Basically you've said it's 15-20 hours of content but for some reason you (and only you) only saw a reward from the final mission.

And since we all know that is a load of baloney...

Starting your argument with this level of intellectual dishonesty sucks any value from the rest of your post. It's clear you are engaging in false rhetoric rather than actual discussion.

But by all means continue your diatribe about how the Big Nose Ted encounter isn't rewarding enough, or how pressing F to beat Victory or Death should give LI.

    Quality content.

So the easiest (imo) fix would be to add a source to acquire an account bound version of it, like auric weapons or volcanic stormcaller weapons with some drm seals.

...actually, no. This would most likely means these new perks being locked behind new content, despite being part of HoT collection iow people that have HoT but don't have say EoD will be left out.

Just add more source to make mystic coins more widely available. So many these coin hoarders go bankrupt lol

edit- like add one mystic coin into these open world meta event reward choice chests

edit 2- ah right and add one to the triple trouble reward

edit 3- and one to the mordremoth chest as a guaranteed daily drop

edit 4- make open world mobs drop these coins as well, with chance of black lion key maybe?

Put down the bottle of Absolut and back away slowly.

Yes clearly steam is a great measurement for counting the playerbase. Almost everyone plays in the launcher, doesn't help that the steam install of LOTRO seems to have a lot of issues.

It's not a massive MMO. But it's doing quite well given how old it is.

Still getting expansions and is even getting a graphics update and console release.

Amazing what people will say to ignore data on this forum.

If there were no benefit of them giving away free stuff, they wouldn't do it. It brings people to the gem store, where they might notice a another item they might want to get.

LOTRO gives away free items every week for the same reason etc.

It might be too much with 1 item every month though, but I see nothing wrong with the suggestion, but if it were every month I wouldn't expect better items than boosters, repair canisters etc. Black lion keys and black lion claim ticket would still be a rare occurence most likely 🙂

And you feel LotRO's runaway success is something for this game to emulate?

To finish the elite specialization collection a mystic weapon needs to be crafted. That weapon is 30 mystic coins each. Since mystic coins rewards are changing can stuff that relies on mystic coins be looked at and tweaked as well? Specialization collections were a way to help players get an ascended weapons from playing the content. The gap is widening on accessibility with these types of things.

Making BOE versions of these weapons drop from HoT content would address these issues in a far simpler way.

    2 weeks.

2 weeks of daily login rewards and you can make your Mystic weapon

How many weeks of gating do desert specialization weapons take?

    Seriously,... think before posting.

This is not true. People have posted saying they can't make as much as people are saying they're making. You just don't know what an awful player even is.

31g an hour for Drizzlewood/Dragonfall is a number that was avergaed out from a large number of people doing the content reporting and aggregating DATA provided to the Fast Farming community.

I'm really unsure what your problem with factual discourse is.

A good fractal group and easily clear 20 gold in an hour. A bad fractal group can't even get through all the t4 fractals.  The rewards are proportional to the skill of your play. Lesser players will get rewards much slower, therefore you are being rewarded for your skill.

An awful player pressing 1 at Drizzlewood or Dragonfall earns over 30g an hour.

The idea that this game rewards skillful play is hilarious.

Its not though. I dont want to argue with you at all. There is nothing in the game that is a solo boss with decent gp/hr that is challenging yet you can kill in a timely manner.

You wouldn't feel this way if you'd been given decent advice.

Unfortunately what's obvious is that a great number of people who answered you were doing so in a largely theoretical context rather than with any real experience or data.

The answer is to solo the repeatable HoT hero points.

These are champions that are not on timers and who's loot is actually far better than the average open world champ. If you are decent and clearing them in a relatively speedy manner, the money is actually some of the best money you can get solo.

This will of course, be highly dependant on your build, skill level and ability to handle more than just the HP sponges like Mordrem Flower.

I did pretty much only this for 5 weeks and by liquidating everything , I made enough for a Upgrade Extractor (2400g).

The "next best" gph will be regularly soloing DRMs because of the high roll potential on some of the reward boxes. But this involves a fair bit of trash mob clearing.

Soloing fractals, dungeons, Desert bounties is sexy and all but absolutely awful rewards, and something I will only do while build testing.

As you've noted, these forums have become an absolutely awful place to ask questions like yours. Players on this forum are perfectly happy to pass along garbage posts, and offer complete misinformation, and speak for the developers...on topics that they clearly have ZERO actual experience on just to pretend they are being helpful and watch their post count go up.

Streamers ruin games look what happened to wow When devs started to balance pve and pvp around streamers and their "millions" of followers. That is just 1 example, new world was made for streamers and look where it is now.  Hopefully the devs in gw2 don't listen to them.

I've seen some trash takes on this forum lately but this one might be most disconnected from reality.

New World's failure has zero to do with Streamers.

They released an incomplete game that tanked it's own economy  via lax programming that allowed item/currency duplication. It's janky code allowed players to avoid taking damage simply by running in windowed mode and jiggling the window.
Players could post html code in the chat window and obscure other people's UI.
The game itself was a clusterkitten.

Blaming streamers, because there was a setting to hide thier personal info is some next level garbage,

    Bellular is great.

I've watched his videos a lot of times, and i'm not even a WoW Player 🙂

Maybe even Asmongold will give the game a shot, and not just go by his first reaction to the game on stream (It wasn't positive 😄)

I really don't understand why people assume he's never played the game because he does not like it.

It's been very public more times than I can count that he HAS played the game.

    To the cap.

And all he ever enjoyed was wvw and the JPs.

How many times does he have to say "Guild Wars SUCKS" before people stop this pathetic assumption that he has not played the game?

He didn't like it for some very solid reasons.

Certain professions can "do it all" (I'm trying to get away from my whipping boy Guardian) and they simply do everything with 1 build so much better than any other professions can do 1 thing with a build specifically geared that it really makes the balance off kilter.

This is a myopic view of balance and shows that you do not understand the concept.

I meant in quality, not quantity.

This was addressed in my thread, though I did not offer a solution.

    Very well.

To your first question, most people that I know who have a good experience playing with their friends actually level up together, do story together, and experience the game together. To your last statement, I'm not sure what part of my thread makes you think that I'm taking that stance. It's entirely unrelated.

    You aren't fooling anyone,

In short, level 80 boosters repel good players and welcome bad players. I think that they should be temporarily disabled for new accounts, at least until they reach level 80 on any character on their own. This will still allow anyone who wants alts to boost their alts. The only people that it might affect negatively are those with multiple accounts.

What about people who want to play with their friends?
Do you have any data to back up your claim this would not negatively impact them?

    Seriously...

I've met all kind of boosties. Many of them were better players within a week than a lot of wing-wearing,.aura spamming, 366  Mastery,  Multiple Legendary, Gemstore warriors I see in open world.

The ship has sailed on threads like these.

They are nothing but humblebrags by players looking for validation of their commitment to the game as if it automatically denotes higher skill.

I dont know too many who only login for the 10 ap. That said, I am annoyed by the 15k ap cap too. Some seem to like the cap. I can only guess they are casual veterans who played allot back in the early years only and wana hold what ground they have on ap.

Those players are capped just like you are.

Just yesterday I did some strikes after a while not doing them. Granted it was weekend prime time, EU. There were up to 10 listings in lfg; standard 2 - 4 listings for All (-CW, - FS) with KP, SW-FR-Kodan poping up all the time and filling instantly, occasional CW and FS but also All without KP or just Woj or Boneskinner without KP.

So basically you had listings for every taste and skill / KP lvl.

It's going to take more than facts and common sense to combat the hyperbole and false rhetoric spread by those in this thread  who are determined to police other people's teams.

Witnessing this community from a non-progression perspective is like watching a giant circle of people flagellating each other.  Half the people that ask for support and middle ground around here are met with "well here's why, it's just cause you're bad!"  Listen to yourselves and try and say you're not part of the problem in why instanced content is going the way of the dinosaurs.  Nobody actually gives a kitten about your arcdps numbers.  They're just regurgitating what the angrier person next to them was screaming into the void.

Throw all the shade you want.

The fact that I am being villified for suggesting someone playing group content should run a group build is all you need to know about this thread.

Comparing the functionality to Arc isn't a fair comparison.

This is some truly staggering garbage rhetoric.

Comparing the functionality of two build template systems for the same game is actually a very fair comparison. In fact comparing the functionality of a system created for free by a single unpaid hobbyist, and the system delivered by a team of paid for programmers is unfair only to the former and not the latter.
The build template system as implemented, while polished and feature rich, did a number of people in this community dirty.  It's purposely introduced yet another low-threshold system who's solution was found in the cash shop, and was designed to punish people who engaged with it financially... the most dedicated and ardent fans of this game.

For you to come on this thread and attempt to sell some rhetoric that "the system is fine because they aren't changing it" to shout down the feedback from the players negatively impacted is the height of your bad-faith arguments on this forum.
