  1. Anet are on drugs, not sure where they get their ideas from. Maybe they are trying to insure that nerco stay dead, done a fantasic job parts of nerco that no one complained about. Meanwhile gaurds farts out burns and coni theif can do high damage just by pressing one skill.
  2. Puplic - Core nerco is too tankish and rewards people for low effect. Anet - Randomly trashes the full set of signet and removes the decent mechanics options from wells (that forces nercos to take blood line for the benefits which reduce their damage output) with shorter cooldown knowing full well it will caurse issues in WvW with scourge returning its original mechanic. Oh we got a trashy trait which only works in WvW (To replace a trait that had it uses in both modes Pve and PVP). Anet - Moments after they completely trashes wells and deletes scourge ( scourge sucks in PvE already ). Anet - Living story, why not trash nerco even more along with it instead of looking into our mistake on trashing part of nerco that didnt need touching at the first place. No one in PvP or WvW is complaining about it but completely ignores the other issues that people are complaining about.
  3. spoken like someone who doesn't know how to pvp. literally any good necro, especially in tournaments or solo queue, use these abilities. i dont know any consistent necros who don't use them, i dont know any necro who actually made it to the top 50 without them, especially solo queue. you guys are talking out of your kitten. wells are kitten terrible lmao. especially 4 stacking them any good player will realize you are wells and just murder you because you cant get away. This is the type of build you would use for roaming solo in WvW lol. This mode is a team-based capturing points, escaping bars might save you but this action likely leave other members in your team (who you abandoned) out-numbered. The time it takes to get back to 100% may as well be dead lol. Your cutting out utilities where the team can benefit from it just so you can abandoned them and escape. And no you don't stack all 4 wells as that just stupid and a wasteful, faceroll game-play may be your way but it isn't mine. I could take on most meta players (the usual facerollers) 1vs1 while running wells lol. In smaller maps like 2vs2/3vs3 you really can not run far, if you did your just abandoning your team anyways when things gets a little scary for you. I've been playing PVP modes for a long time, playing a monk in GW1 kiting with pressure while looking out for spike attack on other teammates with infuse, interrupting Mesmer/ranger etc. Wells was useful when used correctly, until now.
  4. bold text IS true. spectral walk/wurm are both mandatory skills in spvp. if you dont have them, you are worse than any necro that does have them. easier to lock down, so you will die more, deal less damage, and get less kills overall. theres a reason im a plat 2 necro purely solo queueing, and you are not. its because i know what skills i need to run to be effective. i dont run meta, but even i realize that those two skills are like 99% of your build. the swiftness alone is amazing, lasting 30 seconds, and the teleport juke is AMAZING for making range and getting kills. the wurm can be used to teleport behind a wall, so you can leave any fight that you're losing. trust me. i know what im talking about. if you went full wells, even with dagger, you are a bad necro. Not saying they arent good for specific playstyle. I went 4 wells, dagger, reaper to mid plat 3/top 25 at that time, before nerf, so your point is invalid.I was also in plat via solo using wells instead of a escaping bar lol. Teamfights benefits from your wells and can survive better if you placed them well. Escaping bar dosent give anything to your team, a decent team would switch targets while you run away lol, usual case whoever you left escaping would be out-numbered while you and your large HP recover, may aswell be dead then trying to get ooc.
  5. It is unbelievable, how they picked an area within nerco that wasn't a major problem and turn it into trash. Not worth the trashy trait we got out of this as that only works in WvW blob lol. Completely trashed nerco for me and we have 3 months of it. I had hopes and even defended but this just killed what is left. I've really lost interest putting anymore time into this, I've been playing this since early start lol.
  6. Blood Bank is trash, only works in WvW blob. Vampuric Rituals was useful in PVE, PVP, WvW and WvW roaming. It was not OP or UP, if you wanted the benefits then you have to sacrifice for blood-line (damage-output sacrificed).
  7. Yes because making 3 of the five wells strictly worse while sort-of buffing two will make them used more... Not to mention the cooldown "buff" to all but well of corruption are a nerf to those of us who used the trait... Not to mention the sustain and protection losses make well of blood and well of power strictly worse than other options. But without the trait they are now strictly better. Saying they are strictly worse is only when you consider things from one perspective: previously playing bloodmagic wells. The option exists now to play them completely without blood magic. This is the biggest gain and increase in their overall functionality and potential pick rate as utility skills. And if you are playing blood magic you have the option of picking another trait instead of being almost locked into picking VR if you want to play wells. I get why you are upset but I see why this change was made and I agree with it. Blood Bank isnt worth to replace the protection and the siphons traits for wells trait alone. I mainly see Blood Bank being useful in WvW blob fights only. Good thing you can pick up sustain other places because you no longer need to take blood magic to make wells playable in any capacity. Bloodbank isn't a replacement, its not a 1 for 1 trade, its not "I used to take VR now BB is in its place I have to take that and I don't like it". Edit: Not sure anymore since they changed the CD'sbut the protection and the siphons part was good and useful too lol. Well it completely destroyed now by sounds of it. Just meta only cares for one direction, pure damage or tank. Well's add-on function was useful for a balance type build. It was helpful for WvW roaming and PVP, could take on 1vs1 most meta. I tried but whole class is that easy to play with no unique function/combo , effectless spam for high rewards...bots can run the class better then most humans lol. Rather look else where to feed my PVP needs then continue this spammy mode.
  9. There are two viable reaper builds (both power) and one viable core build (condi) left for pvp or smallscale. Large scale it's still all about scourge of course. And for pve there is nothing to complain at all. Power reaper and condi reaper got a 10% dps buff. Briefly tell what build your running? I never had a problem in duels with core-nerco before (just hate how effectless it is) but sadly team stuck at same mind set (target nerco) which is annoying. Seen them taking on two people via facerolling after the update lol. But the changes such as blood bank does encouraging bunker builds idea, new option is for the core it seems. My main issue is losing trait that was not meta, i found protection and the siphons was quite useful. I carefully place wells (corruption and power), wasting them could get me killed as the build do not carry. Hard but it worked and fun. Without the support from the wells the build now barely work.
  10. Adapt and adjust. All of us have had our favourite build ruined at some point or other. Rather than moaning on forums, you could learn to adapt and change your build accordingly. There are already small amount of options that can compete with meta, well's trait was part of my build that made it work... not everyone like effect-less/faceroll builds like core-nerco. Bots can play core-nercos better then humans lol cus the build like most meta carries, i rather not be carried.

  13. I completely agree, the traits made wells a little smart and great for surviving. Chopped away to become more pure dumb spam-able room for blood bank. Anet was thinking for the bad players who faceroll their keyboard who was mistakenly hitting their heals. Change was not needed, wells wasn't meta yet this update aim to reward bad players and killed off smart functions for spam-able wells purpose for damage only and blood bank which will only benefit core nerco.
  14. Only doors it opens that the wells are now more spawnable, at least being forced to take blood-line for the improvments reduce the dmg-output or defence. I could even 1 vs 1 core-nerco using the wells for survival (healing/protection was useful) or teamfights but now they just pure damage skills and my build (which dosent carry or rewards for faceroll) has been destroyed. Options are spawnable scourge if it works, angry reaper or core-meme-easy-nerco which is now most used and op build that carries players. PVP just a brainless spawn party with boring game-play options or fall to bottom. Seems meme-core-nerco build pretty much been buff'd with extra options.
  15. Buff to core way I see it, a facetanking build no dodging required. I lost hope for PVP and interest now. Going back to smite to feed my PVP needs
  16. I fully agree, protection and some life steal was useful for my balanced build/gameplay. You basiclly encouraged nerco facetanking core build that are already annoying.
  17. It was horrible with the limted build options (all-in-builds like mesmer had or your dead). Step 1 - select targetStep 2 - facerollStep 3 - if the target is not dead, run untill cool down then return to step1.end. HP pool and toughtness was pointless, usually 2 mes of each team. Mesmer has been gutted soo many times but the main problem was that every HP pool including nerco was not designed take that amount of damage. Mesmer isnt that bad, you just have to play it right not faceroll like the pre-patch Everything is gettin tune down, these hard to kill builds will get a hit soon.
  18. I quite enjoyed 3 vs 3, it really does reward good players better. People who copy and paste meta builds expecting to be carried by facerolling their whole skill bar will have a hard time lol. 2vs2/3vs3 requires being smart with the skills (not faceroll whole skills bar blindly) and adjust gameplay to overcome the other team. (had matches lost 2 before we turn the table and won). 5v5 is just a circus compaired to 2vs2/3vs3 lol. BTW I solo queued and I enjoyed it, no problems.
  19. I would rather stick with elite specs then all on one class, keep on giving new features to the current class. New class will not bring anything new, will increase balancing difficulty etc and if you don't like it then sorry the resources went on the new class leaving current ones with nothing new. This would lead to lots of very unhappy people. What possible theme class can you bring into this? Death, undead, shadow - NercoLove and light, monk - GuardAngry fighter, weapon mastery - WarriorAnimal/tree/spirit lovers - RangerEngineer, tech lover - EngineerThe unknown, mist - RevElementalist - ElementalistIllusions, time, Manipulations -MesmersAssassin, steath, fast - Theif Many ideas can easily fit into the current with is great as it give them something new. We are missing candy corn magic - Candy Master!?
  20. Just to make people aware that upgrading directx or other engines will not automatic improve graphics, the features needs to be coded in. Am sure that anet would love to improve it but the work would take longer then it will to release an expansion pack, whole game code needs to reviewed and edited. ESO directx11 also has performance issue with their engine i believe, and they have a much more funding then anet (correct me if am wrong). MMORPG are much more complex then the usual games, there are single player games with a simplier engines yet still have issues with directx upgrade.
  21. I get toxic all the time for not playing the meta carry-me-builds-so-i-dont-have-to-think-and-win-rewards. Plat1/Plat2 - mainly everyone running the same-old copy and paste builds. Yet i can 1vs1 most and give some support to teammates, i get blamed for losing "not using meta". Even bots are running burn gaurds these days (fart to burn). Lol and move on, as these people usually fall back down into the bottom after a balance update (reason why they are so angry). Play how you want to play, dont let these toxic people put you off, you will be forgotten by them when they rage at someone else lol

Hi, You shouldnt have boosted to 80 on your first char and yes it is worth playing all story :) You do need map complations for a item to craft legendary gear plus map exploring is defo worth it and can be fun :) check out https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/wiki/guides, there plently to do even at max :)
