  1. No, I want to move on to new stuff that metalords haven't solved yet. Everything in this game loses its novelty in 2 weeks after a meta strategy for any given thing is established and you have to follow it or are told to GTFO. Adding more busywork to content everyone already has on braindead mode just prolongs the suffering.

    I recently did... what was that, Juggernaut collection(?) for shiny ooze gizmo and it was the absolute worst experience since HoT adventures.

  2. Meh, who cares. By the time HT daily comes up you're already most likely capped. /shrug

    The shards are a useless currency anyway once you get the 2 modules that you can't get anywhere else. Rewards from strikes suck in general. Ascended gear? Not worth 2 weeks timegate a pop, go farm gold and craft instead. Tonics? A 5 minute novelty until you realize they interfere with mounts. Clovers and MC? Again, go farm DW instead.

  5. I quit fractals 3 years ago when you added random instabilities on top of butchering a bunch of "fast" fractals to disincentivize poeple from playing them for high gph. (I guess it worked. heh)

    Since that time fractals changed very little, with new fractals being overly long slogs designed to slow you down so you don't dare to make more than 10g off your daily. I recently had a "pleasure" of running molten boss for LWS1 achievements (probably my first fractal in a year or so) and it instantly reminded me of how you massacred my boy.

    Any plans on making fractals fun again, or is it dead content now?

  6. Like the mechanics, don't like the implementation.

    It's a massive visual cluster****. It's already bad with effect spam, the boss hitbox taking half of your screen, overall scenery having bad contrast, and mechanist golems running around. And then you get 20 overlapping aoes and bullet hell *on top of it*, meanwhile the actual punishing mechanic (exposed waves) looks completely innocent.

    Ever since we got the new orange AoEs I feel like designers have lost sense of consistency. So we get faint overlapping old-style dotted-border AoEs where the ground telegraph is basically useless due to all the overlapping, and the new orange ones for mechanics that 80% time originate from offscreen, at the same time. 

    Also feels like anet has given up and surrendered to the "2 barrier heals" meta, because I can't see how anyone could complete this encounter within the time limit using just their personal healing skill. XD Might as well remove the restriction and let us put a 4th utility in that slot now.

  7. Everything chrono is outdated. If we wanted to keep the time mage allegory: someone please replace this clock's batteries. XD

    I think it's finally time to let HoT specs go, all the signs are showing that anet isn't interested in making them on par with PoF/EoD. Druid and Berserker, the last 2 HoT specs being semi popular due to providing unique buffs, are getting gutted in the June patch. It seems pretty deliberate to maintain <current expansion> being top powercreep.

  8. If they ever do player housing, boy I SURE HOPE they decouple it from the useless and rigid home instances or it's going to be instant failure like the jade bot.

    But ever since the game got hosted on amazon, server capacity got slashed in half and this is why we can't have nice things. So unless they're willing to pay amazon more, any attempt at housing would just end up like the jade bot: in wasted potential.

  9. Smoke screen *is* spherical, like all round AoEs (the "AoE" is just a raycast intersection with ground. Go figure). The reason why you can sometimes hit through it is because projectiles approach infinite speed the closer they get to vertical orientation and the game doesn't have enough ticks to process them in time.

    Smoke screen is also unblockable, and it destroys projectiles instead of reflecting them. So it's objectively better since it won't *reveal* you due to some bounced arrow randomly hitting someone.

    Reflection also has a limit of 2 bounces per projectile, destruction doesn't because, well, the projectile is destroyed. So if you put down a reflect AND your opponent also puts down a reflect, all their projectiles would still hit YOU through YOUR reflect ulness they expire first. Funny, eh?

    Nobody slots blink for just stunbreak. lmao. If you gave mesmer players choice between Blink and Shadowstep, everyone would be using shadowstep *because* it lets you juke.

  10. Leggy armor was supposed to incentivize people to do raids.

    Spoiler, it didn't work.

    Instead it made everyone hate it.

    People are now averse to any sort of difficulty as a result (see DE meta).

    So raids are dead content nowadays (even devs said so).

    The remaining bunch of raiders complain about rewards.

     

    Making LI tradeable would fix all those issues. kp.me already exists so KP is not a concern.

    It takes massive bad faith to argue against this.

    I've been sitting on 5/6 for a month after getting 4 the first week. All this despite opening at least 30 chests daily. This is 1000 chests. ONE. THOUSAND.

    You know it's a real mAsTeRy when it's literally easier to get exclusive skins from RNG cash shop lootboxes than to complete this "achievement".
