  1. What's the point of having infusions as endgame rewards when everyone can just disable them 😂 

    Shall we expect account upgrades as endgame rewards now that cosmetics are effectively worthless, or is afking in DR the only rewarding gamemode left?

     

    Also. I was under the impression that this setting was meant to hide useless things like ally skill effects, pets, golems, clouds, summons, virtu daggers etc. so I can actually see where things are in combat. Well guess what,  all those things are still there, including the biggest offenders - massive green mechs and big AoE fields stacked on top of each other to the point where I can hardly see red telegraphs on the ground still.

    Although I must say that it kinda does its job by... removing incentive to play endgame content altogether 🤡 At least in a year we'll still have 50g worth "super rare" drops to try for, I guess. And that one PoF map with piniata will finally die too XD

  2. What exactly counts to progress this achievement?

    Killing players in combat inside tower: does not count
    Destroying siege used to damage tower: does not count
    Killing players who used siege to damage tower: does not count
    Killing players who damaged tower NPCs: does not count
    Killing players who damaged the lord: does not count
    Repairing tower structures: does not count
    Any combination of the above after "defend (tower)" event expires: damned it actually... nah just kidding, still doesn't count.

    What actually counts: killing remaining defenders after taking a tower. Because reason.

    I don't know if you noticed but my proposed solution has players actually playing the game.

    Your idea of "playing the game" seems to be "grind yourself to boredom against RNG or go run dragonfall on repeat". 

    Also. The way things are designed makes it look like anet doesn't want you to play the game, they want you to pay the game. We get it, but at least make it less obvious.

  4. Title. Basically meta events have long started to be way too long to feel rewarding with the "2 blues, a green and a 1g crafting material choice chest" model we've had since PoF. The recent Gyala addition just highlights that. Here's the core issues:

    1. Metas are too long. More than one hour per map is tiring. Frst 2 EoD maps did it right, then it went downhill again.

    2. Mechanics are boring. It's always a pre-event chain with escort and spanking some champs before slapping the big bad guy while engaging in a forced running around because stacking bad. Same model everywhere.

    3. Rewards suck. Literal bots get comparable amount of gold per hour as metas give.

    4. Funneling players away from rest of the map. Localized metas overshadow other event chains on the map because why run them. There's a lot of enjoyable event chains in EoD but nobody runs them because of reasons 1-3 paguing those events too, and additionaly metas siphon players off to a specific region of the map, often making new players unaware of other event chains.

    4. Achievement check-a-thon. Many achievements are gated behind metas and include "run the meta 38572 times". It turns gameplay into a boring grindfest if you actually want something gated behind that checklist.

    ArenaNet, please fix.

    Just add that global reward thack idea that you had at some point, that gives currency that can be traded for "completing encounters". You had the right idea with elder dragon memories and those backpack glass shards. :/

    See, that's the point. I don't. For me windows 7 is where everything *just works*. I only have problems on windoze 10 and up. lmao

    And this is exactly why I keep 3 different windows installs XD you just can't trust today's software to just not break randomly XD

  6. Previously: rotating the camera right? Reached mousepad edge? No problem - let go, cursor appears at the right edge of the screen, move mouse left, keep turning.

    Now: rotating the camera right? Reached mousepad edge? OOPSIE DOOPSIE! Cursor stayed where it was, you have to pick the mouse up to keep turning! 🙄

     

    What's up with random changes like these, it's like nobody at arena uses a mouse on a daily basis...
