  1. Achievement "In It Together" in Heitor's Gate mission has a conditional blocker. If you interact with Astral Ward Protector before interacting with the bones, you won't be able to complete it and you will be stuck with 3/4 progress, having to redo the instance. The button prompt shows up when you approach the bones, but interacting with it doesn't trigger the dialogue with Arina.
  2. To clarify how to unlock the achievement, you have to use the Uncommon motivation (t2) you get from Kamilla and track a tier 2 rift with it. Only then will the story step update to "Complete a tier 2 hunt in Amnytas". That's when you track a tier 3 rift instead and use a Rare Kryptis Motivation to lure out the boss. You can buy a Rare Motivation on the trading post.
  3. Spiritual Childcare - 12 - Hint: Likes to hide in garden landscaping - the middle tree is still bugged for some players. It worked fine on my alt account while on my main one, no matter what I do, it doesn't work. I've tried different characters, maps and times of day. There was 1 player next to me who managed to get it working and then another one for whom it was bugged like for me. EDIT: I logged in a day later and suddenly it just worked out of the blue! No idea if it was patched or maybe there are some variables in the meta event (or any other event) status that make it work/not work.
  4. Even though we've completed the bosses under 6 minutes, me and my friend didn't get the achievement while others got it. Interesting things is, we were in a party of 5: -3 people that didn't do the original LS all those years ago received both achievements: Six Minutes to Knightfall and Six More Minutes to Knightfall at the same time. -Me and a friend who had already Six Minutes to Knightfall unlocked years ago didn't get Six More Minutes to Knightfall. We've only tried completing the fight once so far.
  5. I have the same issue - with DPI scaling turned off, none of the item preview windows (including equipment and gem store) work properly. Here's how it looks like: https://imgur.com/a/sKB09Bx
  6. Did it recently and nobody in the squad received Memories of Aurene after completing the boss. This happened after the recent patch. Patch notes don't mention any changes in that event (they do mention adjusting drops in other events, though).
  7. After about 7 attempts, I finally completed the Jade Maw event in Dragon's End (as everyone knows - it scales horribly with more people), but didn't get the Luxon Tools for the Turtle Unlock: Suiting Up collection. At the same time, I did get progress for killing Jade Maw in the Dragon's End (Corporate) Culture: Xunlai Jade achievement which confirms I have killed it. I can see on reddit that I'm not the only person with this problem as the item doesn't drop for more people.I did the event ~7 times before succeeding with a character that was parked in the event's spot and I've used it just for this event for some time now.
  8. I main a guardian and played a lot of Mirage recently in PvE. I had tons of fun playing the Virtuoso and really love how the gameplay mechanics of a mesmer were changed. Animations are beautiful and I like the flavor of the spec. I only wish it had a dagger off-hand as well. The one thing I don't like is the name of the spec. It should be called Bladesinger (cause you know, they have Bladesongs), Blade, Mindblade or something more fitting.
  9. I main a guardian since the launch of GW2 and play only PvE - open world, fractals, raids (got full legendary armor), strikes. I like the concept of WB - fast, flashy, assassin type spec with monk type melee attacks. But when we move on to the execution, all those shadowsteps feel a bit clunky and to be honest kind of obsolete in PvE. I played a lot of DH in the past, now mostly play condi qFB and I feel that the arsenal of skills I have at my disposal is so much richer and better, sticking to the old elite specs. I know that WB is supposed to be different and I really want that to happen. I mean I like the idea of new virtues without passives that encourage more active gameplay and the whole flavor of the spec, but I just couldn't see any reason to move on to WB. Mobility isn't that big thing for me in PvE. It's not executed that well as many people here pointed out already and outside of combat, since we have mounts, it's not a big deal anymore. I guess my biggest issue is with how traits and utilities feel bland for me. I like new virtues, but off-hand sword skills are boring, utilities are flashy but not that interesting (and some fist punching and kicking animations feel reused and not that great, especially on a charr). Same with traits, aside from the ability to get alacrity, they were not really interesting. I played all 3 new elite specs, and I absolutely love the Virtuoso (aside from its name which is kind of strange and doesn't fit - it should be called Blade, Mindblade, Bladesinger or something else). I know its hard and kind of pointless to compare these two, but I'd love the WB to receive the same amount of love the Virtuoso has - better animations, more interesting and different gameplay mechanics, more fun and useful utilities etc. I still feel this is doable with WB cause the whole concept is a good one, it just needs better execution.
  10. It's probably something that's still in development, but none of the utility skills (and elite skill) work underwater.
  11. Did that in like 10 seconds with a condi Soul Beast. Just like Kodiak suggested above, I merged with a pet (jungle stalker), used sharpening stone, quickening zephyr, vulture stance and one wolf pack all at once and DPSed him right away with dagger + torch. The only difference is, I didn't switch to short bow at all. Daggers can hit only 2 targets at once, so it's a pretty safe weapon for this fight. He melted so quickly I was really surprised.
  12. First thought: WTF is Amsel Diabolic? ;) I like the scenes chosen for the video, but I'm not a fan of quotes from other players. Sure it's meant to look genuine that these are opinions from regular players, but somehow it resonates with me in an opposite way. It's like - probably no one in the media covered that expansion and no one ever heard about it so they had to resolve to that. Don't get me wrong, I love PoF, but that would be my impression if I didn't know the game. I also don't like the font. Other than the cool scenes that you've chosen, I didn't learn anything about Guild Wars 2 or it's expansion from this video. I know literally nothing other than that there's a guy with afro running around the desert and there's also an old geezer with a beard who probably is the evil guy we need to beat. If people don't know the GW2 franchise I really think you should tell them why it's unique and don't just focus on the expansion. The video could be longer and you could prepare a "Guide to Tyria" and put a lot of focus on why we all love the game so much: Beautiful art style and the beauty of Tyria in general. I mean how many MMOs with this kind of visuals have you ever seen?Great plot (every race has different 6 base plots to choose from just in the base game itself which is available for FREE now)Free Living story every couple of months = new maps, new story, new content for FREENo grinding and gear treadmill. Great community! A lot of content which can be played together. You never fight for mob kills for quests etc. Whenever you meet someone in the game, you don't lose anything, but you might gain something. The joy of movement: Gliding and Mounts give and incredible feeling of joy while traveling through Tyria.Masteries as a method to grow your characters without constant higher level thresholds with each expansion.Unique WvW modeGreat raidsPvPSo many Festivals with their own flavor, mini-games, rewards.Character classes with their unique elite specs that allow them to serve different purposes and take on various roles.Fashion wars = lots of great skins, dyes, wardrobe system = rich character customization. No Pay 2 Win! Only cosmetic stuff in the gem store.5 distinctive races unseen in other MMOs.Adventures, hearts, vistas, mini-games, races, griffon challenges - lots of unique stuff in the maps!Unique meta event maps like the ones in HoT where the whole map is working together towards a common goal.Incredible combat system taken from an action RPG game. So much better than the static combat of other MMOs! Combos and dodges, great animations.Dungeons! AND aside form them - 100 FRACTALS!Incredible LEGENDARY weapons and armor.Jumping Puzzles! So many great ones!Guild halls and guild missions!Action cameraMega server = there are always ppl to play with, don't have to pay for transfer to play with your friends!Huge World Bosses in the open world like Tequatl, Claw of Jormag, Shadow Behemoth and more.End-game. You need to tell MMO fans what the end-game is in your MMO - here we have Fractals, Raids, PvP, WvW, constant free updates and new maps, new legendaries to pursue. There is something for everybody! There's so much to tell about Guild Wars 2 to people who don't know the game! There were no features mentioned in the entire video. I think there's a lot to be learned from WoW's trailers (not the cinematic ones which are amazing in a whole different way). They always do a great job of showing the story, features and getting you hyped for the game in one video. They don't have GW2 graphics to back that up and still they are doing a better job at this. If the video is meant to last 1 minute and you'd show me the one you posted, I'd say - "Sure, looks cool. But where's the gameplay? What are the features? I don't know what GW2 is. Well, maybe some other time..." To be honest I don't think a 1 minute video will do to show all those aces you have in your sleeves. Sure, there can be some shorter additional videos to supplement the main one, but I really think it's time for Guild Wars 2 to have a new honest at least 5 minutes long official trailer which shows everyone what the game really is right now after 5 years and what you can expect from it. And I really think it's a good thing, cause the game is simply amazing and the only thing you need to do is to tell other people about it. We will help, by sharing the videos, just give us something to work with! :) Oh and someone charismatic should narrate the video like Rytlock for example. He's a character who's voice is recognizable for all GW2 players and he is both a tough guy and can be funny/sarcastic in interesting ways when needed. Here's a good example how WoW does it:
  13. During my 2nd playthrough of the Eye of the Brandstorm, when we entered through the gate to the inside of the Amnoon Oasis, the counter for achievement Amnoon Evacuation bugged and instead of 7 NPCs left to save it started showing... 47. After that, each remaining saved citizen decreased the counter down by 1, but for me it was going down from 47 to 40, while for all other party members it was from 7 to 0.So in the end all party members besides me got the achievement unlocked and my counter showed 40 in the end.
