  1. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Superior_Rune_of_the_Privateer Please make this rune fun again. Instead of a "YARRR!" and a parrot popping up, we now have... might duration? Seriously? It also happened to other runes that were fun and flavourful. It's mind boggling.
  2. This NPC would randomly sing about her chickens. It was one of the things I loved about this game, but apparently she's gone now. Can we have her back yet, please? https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Lyasa https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJ8KW4OLzfE
  3. Thank you for you input, everyone. The Tequatl thing is by far the most confusing thing. I'm also not sure why the loading "priorities" are the way they are. I would assume that they load in order, but I'm not so sure anymore. And if they are, why like this? I would think that loading would start with the most crucial stuff first, so CIRCLES -> OBSTACLES -> GROUND -> ENEMY MODEL -> OTHER PLAYERS -> EVERYTHING ELSE but it's completely the other way around. Running multiple things at the same time does make the issue worse, but regardless it's strange to sit in a loading screen for 5 minutes and then appear on a mostly empty map. The order is also weird to me, or do all elements load simultaneously and some things just happen to load faster? i5, GTX640, 12GB ram I run the game on lowest settings and get 60-150fps.
  4. I would very much appreciate if anyone knowledgable about the subject responded to this thread with some sort of explanation. Maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about, but it sure seems like the loading screens are not doing their job. Often times, when my PC is busy and I also happen to be playing Guild Wars 2 at the same time, I get these somewhat long loading screens. That by itself is perfectly fine and expected, but that's not the problem. After the loading screen, many of the assets are clearly still not loaded. I can't see enemy models, red circles of death and objects. Sometimes I can even see through the walls like Superman, and in worst case scenario I can see through the floors. There are even weirder cases. Let's take Tequatl as an example. If I arrive at the map 10 minutes early, it should be plenty of time for everything to load. But then Tequatl appears and the battle begins, and the red circles are nowhere to be seen. I sure take damage, but they just refuse to appear for the first 30-60 seconds of the fight. These things happen usually when my PC is busy, but not always. Sometimes I just go from one map to another, there's a 5 second loading screen and stuff still isn't loaded. It's not just me, by the way. However the loading screens work, they don't seem to be doing their job. It almost seems like they appear on the screen for a random amount of time. I think it would be less frustrating for everyone if the loading times took the time they need to actually load the assets. I hope this gets "fixed" if there's a way to fix it, if not I might just have to switch to SSD.
  5. Could you remove message (mail) restrictions for long-time players? Or at the very least make them more bearable? The way it currently works hinders players more than it protects them. If I want to share dyes and items with multiple people, I'm only allowed to send some to 2 people at a time. Then I have to wait a few minutes and it happens again. If I invested 8 years into the game, I will likely not abuse the message system to harass people just to get banned and lose my account.
  6. I'm a huge fan of Super Adventure Box and it's the festival I look forward the most throughout the year. While I appreciate all the effort Anet is putting into trying to keep Super Adventure Box fresh, I don't care much for some of the things we get each year, such as oozes and choya racing. I think it's unnecessary and it overcomplicates a mini-game which was supposed to be straightforward and simple in principle. I do like the glitch weapons and new skins in general, but ultimately I think it would be better if I could obtain them just like any other SAB weapon skin, instead of them being shoehorned into the world. Even the bee-dog races in the hub are a bit much. And while all of it is optional, it clutters the world while also reminding players that the team responsible for it is wasting their time and resources, instead of putting all of their efforts into creating World 3.Please keep in mind that SAB came out in 2013, and there has not been a hint of World 3 since then. It's the equivalent of releasing an early access game on steam and adding new optional things to it instead of trying to finish it. At this point I'm a bit worried that in 5 years we will have 5 more 'side-quests' packed into each stage, while the rest of the game remains unfinished. As things are now, old SAB fans are becoming frustrated while new players are becoming confused by all the unnecessary additions.I really love this festival, so could you please stop cluttering the world with new quirky ideas, and instead focus on making World 3 and World 4 as fun and challenging as possible? I don't mind waiting - it's waiting while seeing all the new unnecessary things added that bothers me.
  7. I completely disagree with everyone who disagrees with your post. I don't fully agree with your post, but the people who responded have no idea what they're talking about. If you're trying to map complete with friends, there will always be one person dragging slightly behind, that's normal. What they could do is increase the amount of experience people get by doing stuff on the same maps while in a party, or better yet - make the hearts complete faster. And no, it wouldn't hurt the 'leveling experience' like some people pointed out. There is no leveling experience. You can get to 80 in a day if you just have some pennies saved up. 80 level boosts are a bad purchase in general, and I will never understand why people buy them when it's so easy to level up. You get experience for yawning in this game. They should definitely focus on incentivising partying up with your buddies to do stuff, which is a reasonable thing to ask.
  8. I am a big fan of the mandatory (I mean free) Black Lion Mastery Boxes currently included in Black Lion Chests, as well as all of the Dye Canisters that were previously added. I would love to see more of these types of items in the Black Lion Chests. For example "Black Lion Waypoint Box" could unlock a random waypoint across Tyria. Or maybe the boxes could contain 'shards' of gear, and for example 37 shards would result in a white quality gear and over 100 shards would yield a fine piece of gear. I think it would be amazing.
  9. I don't understand how it would cause more drama. It only makes things more clear. If someone left the guild, I might want to re-invite them since it was their decision. If I kicked someone from the guild, 99% of the time that means I don't ever want them in my guild again. Since there are no ways of just straight up banning people from guilds, eventually someone else might invite that (unwanted) person, without knowing any better. It actually did happen before. The situation you described is only useful if these two events happen right after one another, which they rarely do.
  10. Since the game is called Guild Wars 2, I would like there to be more quality of life features, or rather.. essential features... that are missing right now.For one, many of different permissions are merged into one, making it very difficult to rank people up without giving them an ability to pull something bad. If I'm giving someone the ability to invite people to the guild, I don't want to also give them the ability to kick and rank up those below them. If I'm giving someone an ability to start guild missions whenever they like, I don't want them to also be able to mess up the weekly guild mission's preference. It makes no sense to me. At least half of the permissions are this messy, and it blows my mind that it hasn't been changed yet. As for the quality of life part, I think it would be nice if the information about who invited whom to the guild would be stored somewhere. Also, it would be really useful to see if someone was in the guild previously and was either kicked from it, or left. And whenever I rank someone up, it would be nice if the roster said what their previous rank was, for example "??? has changed the role of ??? from something to something". It's also a bit silly, that I have to go to an external website like gw2efficiency, just to check when a certain guild member joined the guild. I don't see this information anywhere in the game, but maybe I'm blind.
  11. So to sum it up - the outcome of your choices is completely random. Hitting the very edge of the enemy vision doesn't work, because they approach you 0.5 second after you make contact. The colour of their glow doesn't matter. Your virtue (charm, honor, brute) doesn't matter either. And every time you fail, you have to either defeat 10 enemies and move to the next group, hoping it will turn out better, or restart the mission and waste 2-3 minutes of your time listening to that stupid NPC dialogue. A quest designed to waste your time. Well done. P.S. Picking charm seems to fail almost every time for me. Maybe it's random, or maybe it means something. I don't know at this point.
  12. I would like to ask the devs to prioritize fixing/finishing guild management. It's been in this unfinished state for a long time now and I'm not seeing any improvements. Many of the permissions are very vague and some of them are connected for no good reason. For example - it's impossible to let people invite new members without also allowing them to change lower ranks. Why? The worst thing (in my opinion) is that the guild only logs the least important information. I don't need to know that someone donated 5000 super clouds, but I do need to know if someone changed the weekly missions to PvP, and who did it. It would be useful to know what was someone's previous rank after changing it. Things like these seem important but for some reason they're just not there. Why are only 10 ranks allowed? Why can't I have more than 500 members? Some improvement would be appreciated.
  13. If you don't mind that item being sold seperately, that's completely fine. I'm not really directing this at the community, but at whoever is responsible for these decisions. Also - saying that FOX ears in this FOX-styled outfit, being ripped out and sold seperately doesn't devalue the outfit, is just silly. Of course it does. That's my main complaint. Good for people who buy them, but I don't think it's the right way to go. Either sell every part of every outfit seperately, or don't do it at all. It's as if they took the immortal weapon box out of the 2000 gem pack and sold it seperately.https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Immortal_Weapon_Choice
  14. I might be alone in this, but I don't appreciate that you ripped out a part of an outfit (Shrine Guardian Outfit) and put it in the gemstore as a seperate item. The fox ears are a pretty big part of that outfit, and selling them seeperately diminishes its value. If you're going to do that, then why have outfits at all? Why not sell seperate parts of each outfit if you're going to do this kind of thing anyway?
  15. This is Priory Historian Elisa:https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Priory_Historian_ElisaPriory Historian Elisa might be my most hated NPC in the game.(Some whining below) I wanted a set of oiled Harrier gear, it looked cool, it had the stats I wanted.I got all the materials needed, all the insignias and crafting parts.I found out that I needed 2000+ Trade Contracts to purchase the recipes.Fair enough, I started farming contracts, which was painful to do.I found out I can get more by getting them from the Tomb once a day, I did that every day. Then I found out that Priory Historian Elisa is the one selling these recipes. For some reason she moves around, once a day but not really, sometimes it's once per 2 days. For some reason she can only sell one recipe at a time. For some reason those recipes change around, once a day but not really, sometimes it's once per 2 days. The same recipe can come back, it's not even a cycle, I know this because I purchased a wrong recipe by accident once. It's been almost a month since I started crafting that oiled Harrier Gear.I still need like 3 recipes. Whose brilliant idea was it to add this NPC, and why would you do that?I know oiled Harrier gear might be cool, but did I sign up for crafting legendary armour by accident? Why is this so difficult when I can just do WvW for a week and get the same gear? (Found out about that when it was already too late)Could you maybe stop putting stupid time gates everywhere? No one likes them. It would be nice if she was selling all of the recipes at once, or at least if her cycle worked properly.
  16. Since there are both Cat Ears and Bunny Ears in the store, I would love to see Pig Ears + Pig Nose in the store as well. I think it would look cute and funny on some characters.
  17. Can you please lift the message restrictions for players who have been playing for years now? After sending two messages I have to wait 1-5 minutes, and that's not very fun.
  18. Please add a "Sort" option to the inventory options, as it can get messy in an instant and it would be very useful. I believe bank could use a similar option.
  19. I would love to see a new type of item added to the gemstore -> Custom Revive Animations. We already have finishers, which make WvW more fun. But for us PvE players who enjoy group content and often have to pick eachother up, something like that would be cool to see.Maybe your friend died and you're giving them a CPR. Or maybe you summon a bunch of small quaggans who shake your friend awake. There are many possibilities with this and personally I wouldn't mind purchasing some new cool resurrection animations.
  20. Please show Skimmer some love with new creative skins. It's by far the most alien-looking mount, yet it has really boring skins that barely change any parts of its body. Especially when you compare them to amazing skins of other mounts. My favourite so far is Dajkah Lantern skin, but I'd love to see more.
