It doesn't log everyone out. I haven't been logged out since the new forum started up. I use an iPad with Safari if that makes a difference so maybe it depends on what you use to read the forum. Maybe state what you use in case it's a bug related to certain devices or browsers. -

Changing Name and tag for Existing Guild

The guild leader can contact support and get the name/tag changed, as per this Reddit post. It has a dev response (the dev name is deleted for some unknown reason though). . Be careful what you ask for. ANet might give it to you. -
Could always skip forward to the name part in character creation to check availability then when a name is chosen delete the char and start over. At that point the name will be saved to your account for 24 hours so you can take your time creating the right look.. Be careful what you ask for. ANet might give it to you.

Use the boost to level, get the rewards, do a key run with it (and do up to level 40 story and key if you want) then delete it and save the spot for a weekly key runner. Or use the char as a mule to store account bound items. Give it some bags and park at a chest for a daily log in. Go to WvW or sPvP lobby to merch and access bank as needed.

Hide Shoulders on Outfits option

Hiding shoulders would be an improvement to outfits. The ability to use your armor helm would be another. Both of these features should be put into the game to make outfits better.
