  1. Again where are you getting this from and why do you keep implying I dislike everything? Uh, Vindi Ventari is actually good tho? Much of the same can be said for Ventari with anything. Guardian is only slightly better because it has Aegis, Druid? They're good at ressing but healing? Definitely not. Because it's literally free damage and you have to deal with that on top of everything else, it's annoying. It doesn't hold much meaning and feels randomly forced. I liked it better when the evade actually had something going for it and if we want to make it better, it may as well be just it's own skill rather than built into evades, it takes away all the negatives and the shoehorned energy meld. I'm even okay to make it i-frames or have stabillity so the skill is this unstoppable force like the visuals implies. Seriously, it's quite obvious that Tenacious Ruin sucks because it's forcefully used as an evade which is extremely often. Making it F2 is way better and completely nullify the need for Energy Meld to exist and is not whacky to balance.

  3. Even with all of that, Poison spam is such a major issue to Revenant, they really need to come up with something that players can accomplish to counter it. Something as simple as Empowering Misery plain ignoring the effect can work but I'm not against conveluted solutions like being capable of ignoring the effect if having Resolution which adds a predictable cost to the endeavor because by default Mallyx can only get Resolution from Pain Absorption, this adds a dynamic if using Retribution too. My biggest fantasy would be getting a 3 seconds unique buff that completely makes the user immune to conditions on Pain Absorption which would fit nicely with your suggestions but also well with the nature of everything Mallyx is supposed to by self inflicting conditions from allies back into the enemies without killing itself too quickly while Resolution and Resistance granted are just side effects for the allies or whatevever trait you benefit from it. Seriously, PA is really risky to use in in teamfights and it deserves as much for being so close to be a self destruct button. Revenant doesn't have a Shroud that offsets and auto consumes condis when it runs out, unlike Necro which does. However I don't like having random clearing, it adds too much RNG to the transfers, especially if I wanted to transfer the most spammed condition back at someone such as Burn, to which focusing on damaging conditions for transfers is a brilliant idea.
  4. Try Relic of Vakeem with Shortbow, it's pretty nice in PvP on CC. If I had to suggest, Scorchrazor should destroy projectiles, have some form of defensive property that's on the offensive like many other weapons have such as Daredevil Staff or Scrapper Hammer do. Some more pushy ideas be that shortbow can inflict extra conditions such as vulnerability on bleeding targets per arrow from Sevenshot, buffing mostly condition damage in a fun way if played right while keeping power in check since the extra damage is after the fact.
  5. It's too fast. If the CC was something like the character quickly pointing at the location with the weapon with little to no animation with the old speed then that would be doable.

I just feel like the speed is overkill and annoying in design, I like the changes don't get me wrong but I would have preferred hitting harder so that there's more value in each swing and it wouldn't so much as take away from what Hammer was before. It also makes everything that you do more valuable, like 4 hard hitting unblockables is better than 4 weaker ones for example.
  7. As someone who used Hammer for 4 years in PvP and seeing it's evolution. You're right on the money. It has it's own thing going as a high risk high reward weapon that would work well with all the side effects Revenant can gather. The change on the AA is welcomed but did have to be speed? Why not Power? Old Quickness Impossible Odds used to be what made the AA worth while but they gutted it which left it in awkward position to which I say now it's like you have Quickness on top of Quickness when you have it, it's just so weird and unintuitive to the idea of hammer and how it felt. DTH was cool with quickness, I don't think it being even faster was needed but I'll let it slip, if it's deemed too OP they'll revert that speed, however the REFRESH on CoR was much needed as a reward to the user, that should stay. FotM was also a good change, the Aegis a bit much but the instant cast and DAMAGE it provides was much needed and could be seen as just an AA that provides proj hate. CoR has many directions it could go but they just can't seem to understand and try really hard to stick with the ground magnet that it is, a shockwave like Bladesworn Dragon Trigger could work just as well visually and not SUFFER from terrain while still impossible to reflect because it's not a projectile but a wave of sort just like downstate 3 on Revenant.
  8. Tenacious Ruin should be the F2 at 20cd and not on evade, Energy Meld should be scrapped altogether, just toss all this endurance/vigor spam idea out the window for something more innovative. We're also not talking the weak version but the actually FIRST version of Tenacious Ruin we saw which could hit upwards of 10k or have good support and balance it from there on it's effects and coefficients so that it doesn't have to be so boring and spammy damage that doesn't feel fair, wouldn't have to look so fast and jank anymore either. The utility of Vindicator can easily be balanced one way or another apart of it, but chances are it doesn't need much however if it did and because people seemingly hate the freedom of having swapping "on demand" and not "automatically" for skills individually to mix Alliances skills, the cooldown of skills can just be shared in between Arch or Viktor, but again that's a big if the changes to the evade spam are enough beforehand. Anyways, those are suggestions that are in favor of giving the elite the possibility of having options and not be so limited around it's current iteration because it's literally just power creep of over anything else Revenant/Herald or Renegade has to offer which is why it's SO boring to play and constantly gutted.
  9. Hammer is a menace now, I'm afraid of the complains it's gonna get. On Vindi it was already good before the changes, now it's pushing even more. Nobody is talking about it but that 100% proj finisher is really good to spam cleanse for teammates as well. I swear they better not change it, that makes it unique as a weapon.
  10. Unblockables from F2 on Rev should stack with Phase Traversal, not be apart of each other. That would be a good start, if you really want to hit hard and always be unblockable Axe 4 is good for that. Most skills that do hit hard on Rev besides Hammer usually requires 2 hits so you're not getting much by asking for one unblockable per evade.
  11. Judging by what you said, the profession ain't for you. Try something else. Class is very unique and brings a lot of things the others can't do. Obviously you're gonna have to work your head at it since that's what it's designed with in mind, you're supposed to do a lot without having to wait on for much. Much of it is misunderstood by the majority because it tries really hard to be different which is understandable but it does have it's noticeable strengths that are often ignored in favor of simplicity.

For all the criticism the skill get, it hits hard and that's all that matters even though it has the other benefits such as Weakness and barrier, whether appreciated or not, if you're a support it's better than having Mace or Sword. The potential behind ruining people's kitting is extremely good and I would definitely ask Anet to fix it so that it works properly because Scepter while definitely not the best CQB weapon has it's strengths going all around that makes it a unique weapon that's good enough at mid range which was intended but also that pull is MEGA good on thieves as such or setting up people to get attacked for the team, however it has no other damage sources which is why being able to hit hard with it makes sense and so much so getting the skill LOS'd when it can be evaded and requires to be landed in the first place is just plain dumb. While at it I'd say that also Otherwordly Bond should apply chill and not cripple, it's like they are afraid to give it and that would make it the only mainhand without any condition damage possible right now.

If Ray of Judgement on Guardian can persist, so should Blossoming Aura, players can easily get out of it's range as it is short, the skill is slow and requires a predictable timing (always the last hit) to deal it's best damage. It is far from overpowered (even at 8K potential damage) given how much setup is required to make good use of everything else on Scepter.

I see plenty but plenty of people playing other core classes with good success, whether it be Ranger, Guardian or even Warrior. The whole entire Revenant profession is being discussed in that reply and yet all you can read is 1 thing? What 1 thing? Vindicator is objectively just Core but better and it's stupid, yet you're here calling me a hater for wanting actual original content that isn't copy paste with objectively just everything two fold better. Holy, get real. Everyone is seemingly starved for something that works without much thinking, if you want me to compare core specs to other elites I can, you're acting like I'm actively avoiding that which I ain't in the slightest, gladly will. I guess you don't know the saying, especially in an MMO. "Path of least resistance", in the irony of it that's like when Grimjack was whining about me playing Condi Rev for just applying 12 torment in a burst while he can just sit back and constantly evade while applying 40 burns in the same amount of time on Weaver to which I even have footage of it. Regardless, you have the wrong idea and surely you aren't even trying to see it through. Vindicator is a lazy down right handicapped equivalent of Core Rev and in the best way I can tell you is the same Smash Players do, it's a clone character with everything just improved upon which is an insult to the class because you're killing content. I am literally the person who pushed out Condi Herald more than anyone else in this game while everyone was losing their mind on Spellbreaker and Scourge. Again, where do you get this idea that I only play Core?? OR THAT I HATE POWER HERALD?? You clearly don't even know that I was advocating AGAINST a lot of what Mallyx became shortly after Anet saw the pace Condi Herald picked up because it was pure power creep. I could give you an entire trivia about this profession in PvP if you just asked, I have enough experience to do so and not over just "Core" since that's all you to think I care about and not having actual good content for this profession. Instead all we're getting is assumptions thrown around while Revenant has to be the content that has seen the least changed over it's existence.
  15. The marketing is so fake, Renegade is the proof of that. If everything thats new and shiny had to be better than the rest it would be way more obvious. Anet puts out new concepts and that's where it stops except it's not a new concept if it borrows from everything prior and only multiplies it, Vindicator changes are literally the embodiment of "We ran out of ideas, just have this and shut up already". Core gets everything that Herald tries to do, only Herald can exceed to one or the other, it can't last nor do damage at the same time, Core can. The literal excuse that keeps Herald going is having some i-frames and cutting away from having to manage energy as the profession is designed to be. That's why Herald is so popular but by no mean better because you'll notice a majority of the time as Herald you're in the back jumping on people quickly then running away, Core doesn't have to do that yet can if it wants to. Renegade Shortbow EASILY proved that Core was good to play as and was extremely broken when it had only movement speed buffed because the sustain is up and above the average when people try to get close. It only fell out of favor because of that specific nerf and for good reason, rune of speed was unbalanced so people couldn't just sit on Vengeful Hammers while running away, they had to engage the profession mechanics which made it fall out of favor again, who knew that having to use your head anymore than you should would kill the opinion of a build in a mmo. However in typical Anet fashion they had to nerf everything else before fix the real problem and not revert anything else.
  16. If condi is too much of an issue I use the good old Herald Mallyx. The most anet could do is ruin resistance which killed Core Mallyx on top of nerfing transfers with a delay but jokes on them Herald Mallyx is still good enough with a brain and it counters pretty much anything that spams too much and doesn't have perma clears. The point made is that it was always problematic to deviate from 2 evades even before Vindicator existed, the rightfully so more healthy approach as a good example is Spellbreaker because Full Counter is essentially a 3rd evade with extra steps which IS more engaging and raise the skill ceiling because it's not just added on the player, the player loses on damage for that. Current Vindicator loses on NOTHING, Core extra energy is nullified by the fact that not only the 3rd utility set is easily accessed but your evades are free of directional movement but also have effects on top of the utility skills being effectively cheaper and more effective than any core utility which takes a big dump of EVERYTHING else Revenant could choose from. All of what Vindicator had at the very start made sense until it got homogenized into this parody of "innovation" being more of a "here guys, be happy with the newer thing pls pls, here it can do everything just better!!" What the majority of you don't get is that Core is fine and so WAS Vindicator until it became Core 2.0 literally overshadowing as a straight upgrade that just adds on top of everything else and does nothing else to make itself interesting hence why this topic is called "Revenant on Training Wheels" because that's exactly what it is, Revenant but shamelessly made better with a massive lack of engagement or innovation that it used to have before everyone whined for 2 evades with braindead skill swapping to what is essentially a 3rd utility set with no effort. Renegade was always bad and only made worst, Herald is good if you use it right to which nobody does because everyone wants to play Herald like a duelist when they're picking every single glass options. Going Glint Shiro and expecting yourself to surviving any pressure for more than 10 seconds, get real that never worked and never will. Core doesn't need buffs, it has sustain and it has damage, Vindicator only multiplies with bloat that used to be justified but no longer as it essentially steps on everything. Y'all just assume I never liked it while I was in love with it until it became this atrocity.
  17. Just highlight anywhere in this topic where I say "nerf" and witness how mislead you are. Let's en masse take the personal decisions of the 0.1% define an entire game set of mechanics that are obviously overshadowing another. What a great time to be alive with good games that don't fomo your brain to mush. RE4 Remake has been a good time sink for me, nearing 400 hours soon.
  18. What classes, afaik there's hardly anything that stands out other than cringe stuff like static discharge instant damage holo or virtuoso forced damage. I look at the current meta and it's all stuff that caused me hardly any issues playing the so claimed to be underpowered core rev and way easier when using Vindicator and knowing how forgiving it is to play it's an extreme annoyance altogether to see it on the field when it literally takes away any effort to play the class itself. One thing I did notice being a significant change is Shake It Off on Warrior which is literally what it used to be but better before they started blindly changing anything. Now we're seeing Cleansing Ire condi zerkers running around with bows abusing the lack of having to hit a target to get free clears with mending and the now super buffed up Shake It Off while blasting 6 condi bombs every now and then. If that's ok in anets book they should add back confusion on rev so it can finally beat on skill spam again.
  19. Nobody minced words, you can have a look back at what Vindicator was designed to be and what it is now. Goal post still the same, Vindicator is Revenant on training wheels. In fact, you could say that anet moved the goal post so much with Vindicator that it's not even a choice to play it, it's mandatory because it's a straight upgrade with no downsides whatsoever, absolute braindead content for people to consume the latest and greatest without effort as a bonus. Is that what you're going to resort to because you can't have "Revenant" gameplay delivered to you on a silver platter? That's ok, I said it before, buff core. It's not like any of you have ever nor ever will play it. In all the delusions, Vindicator is not even close to what it used to be so it's not like you paid attention to anything I have ever said in the past in regard to this entire class to which some of these suggestions have made it in game as buffs because I wasn't the only one to agree.

  22. Did you even check the time stamps? I made this post before I even encountered you while I was theory crafting something that could even come close to what old damage was. I got really annoyed because you're built the same way people are, doesn't matter how many times you get punished because the spec has so much forgiving elements so long you don't mess up enough times, you'll always surpass anything in the game, if someone is pure damage and outplaying you you'll always win because you can get away with anything while still dealing enough damage, this is too remiscent of old druid or scrapper before PoF which sucked hard. Things like Holosmith might have really cringe instant damage but at least they're killable, Virtuoso has the same problem where they can have enough sustain yet their damage is extremely forced because every single burst shatter they have is allowed to be unblockable despite the ICD. It's boring effortless gameplay..
  23. That I always end up with, any dodge changes are always horrible. Dodges should always be the same for everyone and any changes should just be an ability tied to F keys or mechanics added around gameplay.

And that's not what I said, because I remind of such thing is ironic because I never cared about what I reminded you. I'm honest about what I play, people surely aren't. Your personal preference to play something that ain't easy doesn't invalidate the fact that Vindicator is overdoing it compared anything else on the table.

I literally was the only person who popularized Herald Mallyx by getting insulted for ever considering Mallyx, posted on Metabattle just to argue that it was good until they shifted my post to another one like mine never existed, only one who ever played it for nearly 2 years until people FINALLY caught up after they killed perma might spellbreaker and braindead scourges while I even posted half baked Herald videos. Stop spreading false information. You're silly for thinking that it's okay for Infuse Light to full heal @ 3 second duration when people condi bomb so easily, at least have some dignity to accept that when you have a skill that's literally better than where the inspiration came from it should at least be in line with the homework it got copy from. Core is good, people just refuse to put the effort, nothing new in fact Core Rev is probably one of the better specs out of all other Core, the irony. I play Herald Mallyx on nearly a daily basis given it's still one of best way to be condition in the entire game for literally sending and healing 1 to 1 any form of damage despite poison being overpowered but I must REALLY hate it tho! Arguably Herald Shiro is just a one trick pony no one wants to admit while Core can duel because it has actual utility that Herald doesn't by default. I never moaned once about Stealth Trappers because it literally wasn't an issue to me, let alone that the entire concept was CRINGE anyway. So saying that your false statements about me reminds you of something I completely didn't care about is even more silly.
