  1. Jade Wind is high risk high reward that forces you to play the class and there's no other way to have it without making it super unfun in either way possible. Literally outside being a CC the skill is a damage buff that follows up with it's own associated trait line. Phase Traversal has a cooldown because without it you leave room for dumb interactions such as covering 2400 range which is the hall mark of bad design since no class can do that without relying on different skills. That's without the mention of neglecting other benefits that comes with PT. The way you're looking at it, like you want to be Revenant and somehow avoid the mechanics surrounding it. Btw, Impossible Odds is good if you flow it with the spec main attribute which is quickness outside of that it's not. Obviously if you don't trait around it, it's gonna be trash. It's almost as if again they don't want you to camp legends because that's not how they want you to play Revenant yet everyone forcefully tries to.
  2. Used to be good, since they nerfed the healing it's pretty trash. You used to be able to get 100% condition damage reduction with Dwarf but that was changed too.
  3. Then what? You'll still be stuck using Impossible Odds regardless, unless you think spamming Jade Winds or Phase Traversal is any fun. Removing Quickness from it was one of the worst mistakes they've done for Revenant. Most of the initial design was poured into the idea of doing things quicker, especially for Hammer. You're much of the time supposed to use assassin skills and then switch legends as you do regardless.
  4. Yikes, prove to me that you ain't strawmanning this one then. Because I don't like it when players in video games begs the devs to change things over blatant skill issues. Surely, just uhm surely Staff wouldn't do anything for any other build that Revenant has ever come to know, esp one with Shortbow. I couldn't imagine someone ever needing Staff while using Shortbow because it can definitely have 50% uptime on projectile hate without traits or bait any attacks with free damage/sustain. Surely Staff did all the damage and sustain like everything it's ever used for. Irony aside if you knew what you were talking about, you wouldn't have to resort at such low blow that has no basis.
  5. You say that with such confidence, in PvE Shortbow surely has the better cooldowns however I'd gladly prove that wrong in a PvP scenario. Hammer always get the last word against any ranged builds, especially on Core Revenant. If anet would fix up the CD on CoR it would easily become more competitive even in spite of the broken state.
  6. I'm sorry but like many you don't understand the weapon. Hammer literally allows you to cleanse every AA that hits in a 240 radius on Ventari for as long you have energy, there's nothing like that in the game. It has the ability to redirect damage, falsify your position, bait traps and cancel hard CC's every 12 seconds Highest projectile hate up time in the game not counting all the other utility and whether you like it or not, the CC is a entire node worth that not everyone can evade, all of that is in a low energy and low CD package. Hammer is by default the best option for Ventari because it has the most powerful synergy along the way of utility being extremely versatile.
  7. Hammer is very good as a support weapon with Ventari. While CoR is not in a optimal state, every skills function as intended and do work very well. If you're supporting CoR is the least of worries anyway. You want to maximize cleanses with AA on teammates chasing targets. I don't think it's about being hard but rather combining alliances in all sort of possible ways mid fight.
  8. Still think Vindicator should play with manual skill flips on demand rather than forceful rows. F2 and F3 to be hard resets for either Arch or Viktor and give boons when activated so pressing it while on the full row aren't useless. And by manual flips on demand I mean having to press the skill again to activate the flip so that skills can be mixed, not touching it again would simply refresh the last skill used. That way everyone get what they want from the initial release.
  9. Oh hey, someone else finally posted about Hammer. Many AoEs that Anet reworked are terrible. Especially on Revenant. The height and application all have some kind of dysfunctional design to them that makes certain angles or height buggy and not hit anything. Inspiring Reinforcement has been reworked in a way that only you can projectile finish has angles that makes those drag against the floor almost, sometimes people can run through it and leaps literally count as evade frames, Stability is overnerfed to create an unreliable experience to players using it properly. CoR greatest flaw is the idea that the kitten square starts at the edge of the tip which is ridiculous to think about and that same animation sprite is somehow used backwards on Mace 2. Not to forget sound had been broken until recently as they somehow fixed it without mention after 3 years and half while at the same time the skills have been broken for just has long and on going. https://youtu.be/yl2sAXxEGuE https://youtu.be/Mac6-9zhxTY I have yet to post this bug compilation that I have stopped cummulating with how Anet never cared to any of the bug reports I've posted on their forums, in game report and even reddit. Nobody cares even if its highlighted in the wiki. Years going. This is so untrue, Hammer has always been good if you know how to use it and it's not exactly mega brain either to use a weapon that is designed for mega hits only.
  10. Do wish they hadn't remove confusion from Banish Enchantment. It took care of firebrands when they were wack and it would do the same to catas. In fact, confusion is such a rare condition nowadays, I find it rather sus. No matter. Condi herald is good against cata, it does have potential against it.
  11. With how small the PvP community is, merging both NA and EU would actually bring some life into the game mode. Just the PvP side that is.
  12. Used to have Core Condi p/p working fine, it's probably not the case with cata around now.
  13. It won't do anything. The system already has that rule set in place except not at the extreme level that would prevent players from ever playing. Bring more players in the game and you'll have people of the same rating playing against each other again.
  14. Not at the level of cod lobbies but still, muting should always be an option if anet cares so much about our sanity.
  15. This is more meme content than it is useful. What we really need is some sort of tell that a teammate is drawing on the map since nobody seems to pay attention whenever they used neutral ping. We'll never reach peak teamwork potential without VOIP though.
  16. But CC deals no damage, if you get CC spammed and die from that, clearly there's a management issue in your stunbreaks.
  17. It's -7 because otherwise you could spec stats to have absurd afk potential by stacking healing and vitality together in WvW.
  18. S/S has more focused damage than GS so you're not losing on anything trading in between the two while keeping staff. In fact Sword AA might be a little faster but also features an extra hit at the end of the chain.
  19. At any rate, to do anything significant with traps you have to have more than one which takes away lots of utility. Not only you aren't forced to sit on node to do significant plays but you can trigger them without taking damage. Seems more like you lack the patience.
  20. Any signs of integrity from Anet in PvP would be a net positive for anyone but the bad blood the mode has.
  21. You'd look back at any of the matches and the number 1 factor is movement speed that nobody can keep up with then players can come back full force after recovering. If Jalis was as strong as you say it is, it would have been the number 1 pick over Herald for days, to which it wasn't even when it had stronger utility. You can say it's all Shortbows Sevenshot changes/Jalis fault, but I'd like you to tell me why the moment Rune of Speed was nerfed it was no longer played in the meta. Tell me how the ability escape any fights is irrelevant compared having the average sustain utility combo.
  22. It definitely was for mention however that Renegade wasn't overperforming for the reasons that people though. After shaving the damage (Which was needed by 2020 rule) rune of speed still made them untouchable, they shaved the sustain, still untouchable. Nerfed Rune of speed? Then all of the sudden it's out of the meta. The sustain didn't need to be touched which hurt core in the end. I can understand why they took away the 2 stack overtime from Inspiring Reinforcement but the initial stab should have remained 2 seconds since it takes that long for the stability to kick in, right now you can't outplay people properly because it's so unreliable if you use it at the right time. It's not the only thing they broke about road either by the way, the AOE is not even at player level anymore, you can't projectile finish with it unless you shoot at an angle relative to the AOE. Then we don't talk about Forced Engagement unnecessary changes while I do which they'd fix hammer skill 2 inconsistencies.
  23. Use build templates. It's one click. We'd see a lot more diversity for every cases that teams would have to reshuffle the spec, instead they'd need to innovate with what they have. Again, the ability to change profession after queue is match manipulation whether people like it or not. It's a known fact that tops would queue with a bad profession in the meta to lure those who don't know just to switch last second. Don't bring me in the excuse of "but what if I'm PvE and need to switch?" Do that before you ready up, Anet wouldn't have an issue surely to increase the timer up for those who need to switch characters that way. Can't be that hard.
  24. Renegade damage was only good because they didn't nerf Sevenshot by the promised 20% every skills should have gotten at the time it was reworked as a target skill. (Btw some skills still haven't) The rest all came from speed runes being too good and yet that's the last thing they had nerfed after gutting everything else when many said prior that's all that really kept Renegade alive so easily.
