It isn’t n2 on sword that is the problem, the prob is that immob gives poison stacks when u applicate it.If anything had to happen it should be the poison application on immob, and not n2 on sword.n2 on sword is how it’s been since launch bro, now after 7 year you qq about it?   2. It is panic strike. The poison granted by panic strike should only apply if panic strike applied the immobilize. But as other's noted, to do this right requires a lot of work. (Specified duel areas, a way to change the skill ruleset used based on an area rather than a whole map, etc. We have so many higher priorities that I can't see us ever actually getting to this in the foreseeable future. Especially as we already have the means for players to create their own 1v1's via custom arenas.Who said anything that i made the thread?I just pointed an example out, about a poll with majority of voters wanting dueling enabled..

Actually that’s not true, dueling has been requested a lot of times, many people want it.I remember Ben saying that implementing such a system would mean a lot of work, and it’s just time the team doesn’t have. Its never been split. Ive counted unique votes/responses on just about every one of the threads that lasts for more than a day(due to them getting merged with a much older thread), and its always overwhelmingly negative towards the idea. There are a few pro duel posters who respond so often that it makes it look like there are more people for it than there actually are. The last thread i counted only 3 people out of 40 where pro dueling, so while still a vocal minority, the last major(and i mean 20 pages plus thread) i counted had 40 for and well over 100 against. Thats not taking into account those like myself who would be okay with a compromise. That's weird, because i just opened a thread where Ben P responded his answer about dueling, and guess what, there was a poll in there, majority voted they wanted it.That's what i'm saying if you make this thread in a PvP section ppl would vote yes mostly, put in a PvE section, most ppl will vote no.I know dueling in open world will never be added, i just wanted to show you that a lot of ppl actually want it.What i do hope for is that they make a dueling map where everyone can join for free, not where u have to pay 1k gems for a pass.
  7. It has never been a split, or even remotely close thing. Its always been overwhelmingly no, as it should. Pvp exists in it's own areas/formats for a reason, go there. I mean if you ask the PVE community if they want dueling enabled, sure most will say no, and as we all know PVE has a lot more players.So yeah, make more pvp related threads in a PVE section.The only real reason we don't have dueling is because the balance split between pvp and pve, you gonna have to make a part of every map a dueling area with pvp balance rules.What they could do tho, make a dedicated map for dueling, where all the people go to if they wanna duel, they already made a map like that, but ofc they have to charge money for it, and when u charge money for it, its not gonna be populated.

Can't agree more with OP.Since PoF the balance and WvW/PvP content has been shit.They rework builds in a degree it's a whole new build, cheesy and easy to play, just how they wan't it, it seems. You should'nt fix what ain't broke.Maybe a new balance lead since pof or something, idk what happened but it's getting rly bad now.And i remember anet saying they don't want to announce something they are working on too early, it really feels you announced alliances after you guys sat around the table and brainstormed for an idea to do something with WvW, after 2 years it really proves it.You are becoming a joke of a company anet, please show me i'm wrong.

It's same like me saying that 2 minionmancers dueling takes no skill because it's their minions who are fighting, not them and you dont need brain to control AI. Warr takes skills when half of its kit are passive procs? It takes skills to stack stealth and shadowstep+backstab someone? Merge with pet and cast 2? Positioning is the main part of the blobbing though. The fact that you don't know that tells me that you have no idea about zerg fights whether you started yesterday or at launch. What does amount of wars and eles in squad have to do with anything? 90% of the roamers are lb soulbesats and gs spellbreakers. Both of them are the most braindead builds that wvw has. How many of skilled classes are there for roaming? How many players are playing them?Yes, i know that's the main part, and who controlls that part you think? oh shit, that's right, the commander. What does the amount of classes have to do with them being 50% of the squad? What's the difference between roaming fb and blobbing fb? They take same skills and require the same amount of effort.Well, tbh quite a lot.. If you don't see that, then there is my point. You dont even have an impact in such fights. It's essentially 1v40, with another 40 players playing on their own. EB without tag is 24/7 pointless fights where nobody wins because nobody actually does anything. All pokes from max range or random yolos by 10 sec invuln warrs or permastealth thieves. Not to mention permanent garri farms where people just cloud around and die over and over again until they kill the enemy blob after 30 minutes. Much personal impact.You might not make an impact in such a fight, because you're used to blobbing, but i know i do make an impact in such fights.These kinda fights are way more fun than listening to somebody till he say that u can push. 5v5 is as much of a pvp as 50v50. Just because you dont like it and you dont know how to play it (probably because your class is unviable there, which makes sense considering how clueless you are), doesnt mean that others dont like it and dont know how to play it. Reevaluate your arguments and then comment, because so far, everything you said about blobbing can be said/used against roaming as well. Well if it is as much pvp as the other one, why would u bring up a 5v5 sPvP mode when we are talking about WvW all this time?And lol, it rly seems you know me better than myself.. Who said i didn't like sPvP? Get yr FACTS straight before trying to make an argument, cuz u fail big time @ it.The only thing i'm pointing out here, is that blobbing takes less individual skill than small scale/1v1.
  14. Yet you spit random facts about blob fights because you've never played those, just seen how they look like. How are you so certain i don't know how to play in large scale fights? I've been playing this game from launch, exclusively WvW. What about you? This heavily depends on the class and build, but as I said, most of them require no skills. Ele and thief are probably the only ones that can be excluded from that majority, but even thief has some of the cheesiest builds in the game. Every class has cheesy builds, you can say what you want, but in a 1v1 u need skill bro. (to actually win it, from a decent player ofc) Wrong. Warrs need good positioning or they are useless. Eles need good positioning and skill rotations or they are useless. Commander cant call every action on every class at the same time so you have to pay attention to what you're casting and when you're casting it. If you just listened to what the comm said, every server would be good at fighting, but that's far from truth. Ofcourse, some classes need good positioning, but how many warriors and ele's are there in a squad :D? I'm not talking about posistioning and pressing 1 skill here, ok?In general u listen to the tag, if tag tells u to stop, u stop. If tag tell u to go, u go. U DON'T NEED A BRAIN FOR THAT. Scourge and FB are in the best case 50% of the organized squad. Bad boon uptime and barrier cast = you're dead. Not enough corrupts on enemy when they push = you're dead. Spam random buttons = you're useless (unless you're playing some foolproof support build like staff tempest). they make 50% out of the squad, that's A LOT, how many other classes are there in the game xD? Large scale fights with no comms are clown fiesta that you like calling random skill spam. Spam stuff from max range and run away when enemy gets close. I like the play style too, but it's far from anything skilled. You're just hoping that your allies arent braindead and know how to cast skills and even then it's just RNG and constant reruns from spawn. When fights are organized you at least know where and when the group damage is happening. In those kinda fights, it takes a lot more individual skill bro. (Which most blobbers don't have) Ofc pvp people will agree when they like and play 5v5 content. Wvw isnt 5v5 content though. When i'm talking about PvP, i'm not talking about sPvP.PvP = player vs player.the 5v5 you are talking about, is sPvP = Structured PvP
  15. It's not any less of a faceroll you do in 1v1 of 5v5. Just because you dont know how to play in large scale, doesnt mean that everyone else is spamming their skills. Most of roaming builds revolve around casting 3 skills instantly and spamming everything else on cooldown if the target isnt dead already. There's nothing skillful in a casual game. If you say this, you don't do any 1v1's or small scale combat.In 1v1 or small scale, u actually need some skill to kill an enemy.In blobbing, u just follow the tag, u don't need to think, u just listen to what the tag says.I mean, large scale can be fun tho, but without a tag, otherwise it's just Scourge, FB spam all the way. FUN FUNU can say what u want, but i'm sure ppl who actually like to PvP will agree on that.

  17. Yeah, what are you trying to say exactly? That the solo fights or small scale combat is bad in every mmo? I think you never player any mmo seriously.It used to be so good in this game.Running around following a tag, facerolling your keyboard till ppl die, yeah dude, quality fun!
  18. What you refer to is “blobbing” it’s the most boring part of wvw, but yet it is the part that anet caters to.Try running around solo or with some friends, and do some small scale combat. (Well it used to be fun, but arenanet killed it some time ago)F
  19. Please Anet, do something!! Small scale fights are pretty much dead in wvw, thank the mount and soulbeasts for that. The only thing i do when i enter wvw, is look for small scale fights, but you are destroying that update by update, catering the blobbers, giving them OP mounts, making every class a better roamer than thieves.Make something fun for ppl who like small scale combat, or game will be dead.I wonder how many players we lost today with classic wow, how many ppl i know that went to eso.. Feels like gw2 is solo player game, because all we get is living world shit. I mean if i want single player content, there are way better games than gw2 for that.Just fix the game
  20. Why would it be pve? I see it more as a pvp area for small combat, somewhere roamers can go to have some fun. I remember back in the days OS was exciting to do because you would always encounter fights while doing it.I hope anet does something cool with OS in the future.
