  1. So I just completed w1z1 in tribulation mode and finally got credit towards the '(Annual) World 1 Challenge' achievement. This time I made sure to not leave the top platform - not sure if leaving the platform triggers the bug, but if any others are having issues too, then try staying put by the boss-chest after completing the zone.
  2. 2024 Update: This is happening to me as well! I've completed tribulation mode w1z1 three times now but still haven't received credit towards the '(Annual) World 1 Challenge' achievement šŸ˜ž
  3. This definitely is still not working. Like others have stated, I got 6 mins to knightfall way back in the day - but now I cannot get 6 more mins to knightfall. Please fix soon! šŸ˜
  4. I would love this as well, and I actually suggested this exact same option when KO CM came out - as that was getting annoying to prog as groups early on would basically immediately wipe when finally getting to the Sniper/Mech phase. And HT CM takes this issue to a whooole 'nother level.
  5. When raiding first came out, I joined some training runs, but (due to rl commitments) the few I was able to attend didn't last long - as folks would bail after an hour or so - and that was that. Also, one night I had an unpleasant experience with a training run (which again didn't last very long) turned semi-exp, where I was told to run an ele build which I had never ran before. Things didn't go well and I was basically yelled at for failing. That left a bad taste in my mouth. In addition, assuming I had gotten full training, guilds were consistently doing runs after right reset, and that just didn't match up with my playtimes. And so as time went on, I felt further and further 'left behind' and didn't bother with raids until Emboldened mode - when other new folks would also be trying them out on a 'no pressure' basis. Further, power creep and various YouTube raid guides (MuklukYouTube ftw!) no doubt help as well. Concerning EOD strikes, when those came out I made sure to play them right away in order to avoid 'getting left behind again' like I did with raids. And so when the CMs came out - I felt confident that I knew the mechanics well enough to attempt them.
  6. I haven't experienced this myself as I've just been running Emboldened wings; but if true, then yes, ANet should definitely address this issue. And so I'll amend my previous comment by stating that the Emboldened concept itself is fine and should remain as-is.
  7. Emboldened Mode has given myself and others like me the necessary 'boost' (pun intended) to try raids without fear of being ridiculed. This in turn will increase the raid population and is undoubtedly a good thing for the game. Emboldened also isn't a total 'win-mode' as failing certain key mechanics will still wipe your party (e.g. Xera shields or Dhuum greens). Plus, only one raid wing per week is emboldened - and as others have stated, if you don't want it on, then simply turn it off. TL;DR - Emboldened fine as is.
  8. As I just ran KO CM with a mostly guild group on discord, I guess I can now reply to my own post. Looking soley at whether or not discord is required, currently TGE seems like the harder title to get due to the tight coordination required to get past the mech/sniper phase. Seems like if all know that they're doing there, then it's relatively not too hard to accomplish? Granted I still haven't seen the final Minister Li phase (which I hear is really hectic). But without taking into account whether or not discord is needed, I'm thinking GitV would be harder - due to the extreme dps check, and folks needing to stay upright while Ankka has 6 void stacks?
  9. And why? Asking folks who have both titles. Also, in order to get TGE, does the whole group need to be on discord? I'm asking this because I commanded a successful GitV run and we didn't use discord, and I also don't have TGE yet.
  10. Many thanks for the replies. Finally got this after several days of pugging. Our group comp was: 1 cScourge, 1 cVirtuoso, 3 cSpecters, 2 Mirage Alacs, 1 Qfb, 1 Cele Qfb, 1 HScourge We just barely eeked it out (finished her off while almost fully enraged; had several downs along the way), but we got it and that's all that matters, right!?! Also, at phase 3 we got Ankka to 28% for breakbar 1 and 10% for breakbar 2. From my experience, that seems to be the minimum health %s you'll need to get this achievement. Here's our dps log: https://dps.report/0kMI-20220530-111559_ankka
  11. Short and sweet - what is the ideal group comp for the GitV achievement?
  12. As these strike CMs become more difficult, it would be extremely helpful to allow setting them to begin at a particular phase strictly for practice purposes (no rewards). Case in point - with yesterday's release of the Kaineng Overlook CM, I've practiced for hours with multiple groups, but we simply can't get past the mech/sniper phase. And what's worse is when you finally get there, a wipe can occur fairly early - which ofc means you have to go through the first couple phases again just to attempt that part. In the meantime, group morale gets lower and lower, and folks start bailing. And then new folks join, who may or may not know the CM mechanics - which further puts a strain on those who've stuck around. Also, the precedent for skipping phases has already been set with story mode achievements. And so why not also incorporate this into strike CMs?
  13. As I hate to rush through things, I haven't done much yet with the story . But I really enjoy the little I've seen so far (and fishing is quite fun lol). But I really, really like the new strikes, especially the last one Harvest Temple! Totally blows away the IBS ones in terms of difficulty. And the music at the end - epic! Kudos Anet!!
  14. Just wanted to say how much I enjoy this strike! Very engaging and totally blows away the IBS strikes in terms of difficulty - and this is just normal mode! And I really enjoy the music with the lady singing towards the end - gave me vibes of the theme song at the end of the 1970s Japanese anime 'Space Battleship Yamato' (or later called 'Star Blazers' here in America). Great stuff Anet!!
  15. Thanks! Just wanted to make sure before I try to get some myself.
  16. Dumb question I know, but Iā€™m assuming you can use WvW legendary armor in PvE right?
  17. Being a fractal junkie, I bought the portal scroll. Really convenient imho šŸ™‚
  18. I actually see both of the images On my iPad, I actually see both of these images. So this might be a pc-related issue?
  19. By accident, I recently noticed what appears to be a microchip type thingy inside this Norn's head (look slightly above the eyes). What the heck is going on - eek!!! Image 1 Image 2
  20. Tonight I got Imperator rank (and thus completed 'Moving Up the Ranks') by putting up a lfg and asking everyone to read the wiki tips on how to properly do it before starting. Then we activated 3/4 challenges (except 'Powerful Foes' ofc) and had folks superspeed the tank along the way. Didn't seem all that difficult and was nice to knock that one out. Not sure I'll attempt the 'Candidate for Khan-Ur' challenge as that one seems insane with 'Powerful Foes' up (i.e. not sure if pugg-able and doesn't reward any ap's anyway). Also as an fyi, a few days ago I managed to solo the 'Tank Escort' challenge mode - and it wasn't really all that difficult (got it first try). So that's definitely a way to do it if you have trouble finding a group. Lastly, soloing FS is a great way to complete the two 'Heavy Rival' events where you have to kill 15 foes in order to get achievement credit. Just focus on those first and you should have no issues getting your 15 kills.
  21. On a somewhat related note, has anyone doing this solo gotten Imperator rank? (for the 'Moving Up the Ranks' achievement?) If so, tips would be greatly appreciated!
