  1. I mean, I am playing casual now. I don't think the question was phrased as "Only casuals where were 100% casual for 100% of their game time."
  2. So, someone cannot play casually for periods of time? Once a sweat always a sweat? I think you need to moderate that stance a bit buddy. It's okay, I've burned through my stock of GoBs, so I have to go sweat again in WvW sometime soon. 😅 Might get two more sets of Leggy armor while I'm at it...
  3. I very casually collect lots of gold from my alt accounts every Monday. This. Casual does not mean poor. I mean, I was a sweaty Fractal player for a while, and then a sweaty WvW roamer for a while. Now days I might spend an hour, maybe two doing HoT metas while half asleep with 1-spam and Treasure Mushrooms while listening to Viking metal on Youtube.
  4. I did it very casually. I just happened to have lots of gold saved up to bypass 85% of the grind.
  5. You are right that comparing laterally a weapon across two classes is not effective, but looking at the totality of what one can do versus the totality of the other can still be a fair assessment when taking into account things like their versatility, their mobility, raw numbers, CDs, and any mechanics they have. Of the new weapons Ranger Maces and Necro Swords got some extreme detail from the devs, but things like Engineer Shortbow... not so much.
  6. Yeah, I know, but Gunflame+Merciless Hammer is wonderful.
  7. This, warrior in solo OW play is fun, effective, and durable when built right. I still love the amount of pew pew on my mechanist though.
  8. And yet the devs literally begged warriors to play that weapon and we just laughed. So you would adjust things like ranger maces?
  9. You would see some insane burst setups in PvP/WvW for sure, but not perma quickness builds.
  10. Boon strips/corrupts absolutely need to be increased in PvP/WvW. I'd even go so far as to say that instanced PvE content probably should use more boon hate. But if the boons can be easily reapplied for long durations then would increased strips and corrupts even be a solution?
  11. I can see the value in that. Boons were meant to be short but impactful at release and we clearly deviated from that.
  12. I'm hearing a lot about boons here, irrespective of game mode. How about this: Change Concentration to give 1% Boon Duration for every 21 points of concentration instead of every 15. That makes 100% upkeep harder and probably in some cases limits boons to impactful windows only. I think you could make the same argument for Expertise and Ferocity though. I can also see the value in having Concentration and Precision at 21/1% conversion rates and leaving Expertise and Ferocity at 15/1%.
  13. So tell me if this is what you had in mind: F1: Enter Dragon Trigger, Dragon Trigger bar is as it currently is. It is still immobile. It still has to charge bullets. Or is it this: F1: Enter Dragon Trigger, with it's current bar. It is mobile. It does not charge bullets, but Dragon Slashes expend certain amounts of flow. They consume all flow and have tiered effect. or They consume set amounts of flow until no flow is left In both cases the BSW stays in Dragon Trigger until left manually or all flow is consumed.
  14. Can you elaborate on what you mean by a toggle F5? Core only has F1, and the especs only have F1 and F2.
  15. How about all quickness durations in excess of 2s get halved and in exchange the old attack speed increase of quickness gets brought back?
  16. Might also contributes to condition damage, and a fury nerf would hit condi builds as many have a condition application on crit trait along with condition application on crit sigils.
  17. Just for fun, what would you 'adjust' nerf to lower some power creep on each of the classes? Any game mode, feel free to give suggestions for each mode for each class if you want, or limit it to just one mode if you prefer. I'm interested in seeing what people think overall.
  18. Personally, I'd make Gunsaber the elite as a weapon kit, give BSW weapon swap back, and then park the Dragon Trigger bar onto F1-F5. I'd also get rid of having to charge two separate resources, just have the Dragon Slashes consume flow on use. An alternative to preserve the iaijutsu would be to turn the dodge into flickerstep, where it flickers based on directional input so no ground reticle, and the AA flips over to Dragon Slash, like a mirage ambush. The GM traits would alter the form the Dragon Slash takes in that case. This version I would still put Gunsaber in the elite slot as a weapon kit. Core bursts could be returned along with weapon swap and Trigger Guard could be the F2. Anything that bypasses the self-root and double resource charge would work really...
  19. Bladesworn is a bad spec held together by the ability to have absurd self sustain, formally an absurd CC in competitive, and in PvE by a bloated burst. All because some dev wanted to mimic a sword technique that is antithetical to the game play flow of their game.
