  1. I do agree with the green being an EyeSore, give us mech skins or at least a dye channel...
  2. While the rewards are better, the UI is limited as it requires a lot of clicks to spend enough point. The cap, while I understand the WHY, is just annoying as it gets in the way of removing the notification dot. I only have like 15 to 30 minutes a day and I now no longer engage at all with PvP, and severly reduced my WvW as I simply can't risk not finishing the dailies. It's stupid of me I know, it's just 10 AP, but I have been completing my dailies every since I started many years ago. They did add the 4th mission slot, which might have allieviated the trouble I initially faced with not being able to find, let alone slay opponents in WvW. I simply don't feel comfortable experimenting and risking not being able to complete the missions. I also don't want to risk forgetting to set it back and have all kinds of things I simply cannot complete. Reduce rewards per item completed, increase the reward for the daily and weekly box, unlock all the options. That way we can have variety in what we choose to do, with some rewards. Also please just complete the chests if there is space in the currency. And improve the shopping experience by either making it an NPC with the NPC buy X of Y interface in social zones. Or make it a proper shopping cart like the Fixit-Store in satisfactory, just toss in and add up, press purchase, get all the stuff. Or custom amount option for the infinite rewards. As buying gold in small bundles then having to click even more to unpack those bundles... It should also not hide Achievements when you track a astral quest. TLDR; Less clicks, more choice & freedom == more engagement with the game itself instead of reward tracks and FOMO.
  3. Thanks for the info, you also get access to the recipes after completing the mastery track, but this is so counter intuiative and whats the rush with maxing out all the masteries. The vault also has us pushing for gliding along a ley-line and most players will probably like to upgrade their skyscales first. I guess if GW2 is not a full time job grinding, then we are not having fun correctly...
  4. They should just remove the selection and present players with all the dailies, then limit the amount you get rewards for per tab. That would give players a choice and put the 'whatever I feel like' flavour back into the dailies. Had a bad roll on WvW? I'll do PvE or PvP instead. The previous system had me in some way or another interact with all three game modes. This new system incentivises players to stick what they are used to. I will never need to go daily kill in PvP in a rank farm map, or do a jumping puzzle, ever again. Nor will I ever need to use a home other then the one of my race, as there is no incentive to go anywhere else for farming the daily. This reduces my playtime in other content, increasing the monotony of the game, which the new expansion with the massive asset-reuse does not really improve. This retention mechanic if not expanded in the options, will quickly become very boring and tedious. One thing is for sure, next expansion I will wait for the release before I buy it, that is if I still play by that time... Daily login rewards felt like I would be missing out, maybe it's time to let this daily routine go after so many years 😞
  5. I agree, within minutes of logging in after the patch, I knew they made dailies a thing of the past. For years I have been picking the ones I could complete before work and getting them done. The new system just rolls some slots for you and you now have to do these things in order to get the daily. I guess I will also just always farm in rata-sum from now on, as there is also no daily reward tied to a certain home region every now and then. I guess their game-designers just failed to understand the full impact of the changes would have on the routines of their players. It could have been the same in a new skin with some more bells and whistles and perhaps a more expanded selection. Also the UI looks like the circus came into town and put up all the colours just to get you started. To keep this constructive: - instead of rolling the slots for the player, offer a list of options for the player to pick from (lock them in if you really thing limiting choices is fun) - based on what is in the list, the player will choose their optimal path for either fun or just time to completion - the colours indicate the content type, but this was not a problem in the daily section of the achievements - achievements screen shows the same stuff as the wizards ui, because thats were everything else is as well... - expand the rewards to include things guild-halls require in order to be built... pvp potions are a must, or have they been replaced? Edit: the pvp reward potion has been removed from the guild halls and replaced with shards of glory, seems like x5 the amount in shards.
  6. swiftness is easy, quickness is now a bit different, I'm liking the 100% alacrity up time though
  7. Mech alternative with alacrity, seems a lot easier as now each mech toolbelt skill gives quickness, with all kinds of CD reductions and the speedy signet with a shadowstep [&DQMdGRUvRhooARQBCxuGAF8BowAQG44BCRuJAQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACVQA2AAA=] this will probably be my speedy build now, the mech can probably tank the aggro while I farm without needing stealth
  8. I just noticed quickness now is a lot harder to get which would reduce my speedy home instance and guild hall runs each morning. Ugh... why... I had a really nice quickness build before this hot garbage patch to Kinetic Accelerators. Here is what I have so far: [&DQMdGRUvKy8oARQBkwGGAF8BowAmAY4B+RKJAQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACVQA2AAA=] - HGH for Elixir U, still the best source - Still using Kinetic Accelerators Healing Turret => Water field Throw Mine + Detonate = +6s quickness Flame Thrower + 2 = +6s quickness Rifle 5 Jump Shot = +6s quickness Detonate healing turret = +6s quickness f1 regenerating mist + mine + detonate function gyro f5 It's not great and feels really clunky, but hopefully it can be refined a bit further. At least there are still some short +6s combos to be made. - I might switch to sneak gyro, as the stealth is great for doing outdoor daily when it requires a desert farm. Please return to the previous Kinetic Accelerators it was a lot nicer to be able to randomly share the quickness at the social farm locations (like flax and the farm in silverwastes).
  9. Never had to look for information on a patch before, the update today was really slow. To GW2 Team please investigate solutions for bigger file dumps like these, there has to be a way to use some local cache to download and unpack blobs of files and patch them in one by one as expected by the archaic system.
  10. Wow, they must have skipped the actual auto delivery for all current subscribers. Thanks this indeed worked instantly.
  11. We have mesmer magic for a reason, if you don't like the way it looks, just glamor it up to your liking... There is no real reason why we must have this ugly, uncustomizable looking monstrosity near us... I am sure they will add all kinds of skins for the jade bot, but specific professions are probably not going to get any love. This makes me really regret my pre-order
  12. Are engineers just always going to be SOL when it comes to being able to look nice while kicking kitten? FOR the love of the seven gods, give us some dye channels at least... And then follow up with skins for not just the Mech but all the engineer kits. Then proceed to adding dye channels / skin to aegis for Guardians, disable them in WvW / PvP if you must... Or add that as a toggle setting to use generic stuff for opponents.
  13. Engie Ghostbuster, like GW 1 spiritualist, it's basically turrets right? XD
  14. I used to use the Applied Force & Flamethrower for the odd quickness and pop an Elixir to gain a bit more when farming nodes. Now the quickness is so iffy, 2 seconds is not enough to cover at least two nodes. This made for an OK all-round build, as it granted stability and full stacks of power very quickly, accessing quickness this way made it easy to survive in PvE and WvW. Not a great build, but it was ok. You can always respec with more specific goals, like do not bring this into fractals as the DPS is not great. But it made play fun by not having to switch around every 5 seconds. I've found that 'kinetic accelerators' is great, it has no cooldown, so to optimize quickness uptime we need to keep applying superspeed. Although this makes accessing Quickness easier, it comes at the cost of everything else. No more power, stability, or any other buffs. - Gyros seem to be a trap for granting superspeed, they take way too long to grant the boon. - med-kit utility to be the easiest way to get a quick boost, but the medkit itself is terrible compared to the other healing options - use kinetic charge and spam the utilities - elixir U is a solid way of getting quickness, from Alchemy: Compounding Chemicals adds some concentration and the 20% reduced CD and increased duration for Elixir U keeps it going for a while, the utility of Exlir U grants superspeed so that it too will give quickness Something like this: [&DQMdGRUXKy2EABQBEwGGAF8BowCuEo4B+RKJAQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA=] My main goal here is Quickness uptime, I like that I now do not need to wait for the odd boon to pop from it's cooldown.| But to get the same quickness uptime I needed to sacrifice a lot it seems. Also none of the medkit skills are seen as a heal-skill, which would turn this build around perhaps. Each of those 5 skills granting super-speed and quickness might make them worthwhile.
