EoD is adding more builds to the game. I was wondering if we could get more templates so we dont have to scrap all the old templates.

It's certainly needed and I'd wager they'll add 2-3 more at the time of EoD or shortly after.  But no confirmation from ANet.

As far as I am aware, there's been no official word on whether they plan to expand beyond the caps of six build and equipment loadouts or not.

That only shows up how badly designed the whole system is. Adding new tabs would not solve the issue you have - it would only delay it a bit. What is really needed is a complete rework of the system to make it actually useful for players (instead of it being designed only around monetization options).
