Unlocking Mordant Weapons

The text is vague about unlocking Mordant weapons. Unlock the skins for the rare tier of this item for purchase the upgrade recipe. I just don't get it. Likewise, the unlocking Mounts is arcane!

Recipes for crafting Mordant weapons can be purchased from heart vendors in the Domain of Vabbi after the corresponding rare Awakened weapon has been unlocked in the wardrobe.

Unlocking an Awakened weapon skin in the wardrobe will unlock the purchasing of the corresponding Mordant weapon from heart vendors in the Domain of Vabbi and The Desolation.

Note, I believe the above should read "will unlock the purchasing of the corresponding Mordant weapon recipe." Acquisition of Awakened weapons noted in the wiki link above. So in other words once you acquire the Awakened weapon and unlock it in your wardrobe it will unlock the ability to buy the recipe for the corresponding Mordant weapon from the heart vendor.

For the weapons i purchased Awakened weapons from the TP costing roughly 30s a piece. Not the cheapest option but it seemed alot easier that way

It took me a while to figure it out when I realised the weapons I was missing were the unlocked ones. Then, I got it.

They are on the TP, just not as “Mordant”.The links above will get you to the info you need.

They are Rareweps not exotic. I would have missed them that way too, but I was in too big a hurry and set no filters other than Awakend then the whole list came up. Back to nearest TP, salvage for skins and they were unlocked.

There are named weapons "of Severance" that are exotic quality that suffice for the Mordant skins you are looking for, if your objective is to go for an elite spec's weapon. You can find them here.
