Celestial Quickness Harbinger

Soooo, i played around a bit with Harbinger als supporter and then came across this:

Its a support build, BUT the only thing you need to do to support your group is go into deathshroud and stay there to buff them quickness.

The Deathshroud aura triggers every 3 seconds and buffs quickness for 3 seconds if you have 50% Boon duration. So thats all we need.

 

Now lets optimize shroud DPS. 100% Torment Duration comes in handy since we will spam most of the time deathshroud 1 and 2 and sometimes 5, but deathshroud 5 has a longer cooldown.

And since we are most of the time in Deathshroud why not take the 100% critchance as well ? Since Celestial Gear has Power and Crit on it, that should be usefull too.

In Deathshroud we gain +33% Critchance, so with Banners Buff and Fury we have 100% Critchance while in Deathshroud.

 

Now for Damage, since we will be most of the time in the shroud, we need utilities that work while in shroud. The Worm and the Golem will attack the enemy and deal DPS while the Sigills, with the right trait work in Shroud and are also empowered. So we gain bonuspower from them, regenrate lifeforce and leech life on attacks. Not bad i'd say. Now whats also good about celestial is, that it has vitality which means our lifeforce pool ist larger and the % Lifeforce Regeneration from Vital Draw and Signet of Undeath is a bit better.

 

TLDL: Permaquickness, 100% TormentDuration, 100% Critchance, Good Power and Condi Damage.

And what about the time you are not in shroud?

There's a few issues I have with that build. In which Gamemode do you play this?

PVE of course. Raids/Fractals/Strikes/Open World.

Most of the time you are in shroud. Youd be surprised how long the shroud lasts with 31.000 Life and the Signet and Shroud 5 recharging Lifeforce while in Shroud. And if you run out of shroud energy with focus and warhorn and pistol 2 you can recharge lifeforce very fast.

You will 100% not be playing celestial in raids as a harbinger. You are not the tank. Providing your boon makes you squishier. The boss will oneshot you after four ticks of quickness.

If u want to support best way would be to take Trait where u share your Potions boons imo

It's 3s every 3s without any boon duration.

Wow...I did not expect quickharbingers to lose -that- much damage, as per the linked video, compared to the 40k for pure condi.

So it weems Viper reigns supreme still, I had hoped Ritualist mightve made a difference, but clearly not.

Boons* that you can't give to friends with full stacks and 100% uptimes might as well not exist. Someone already covers them better than you can, if it's organized content, and if it isn't, why share boons?

I don't think so.

The quickness harbinger is actually not bad.

Yes it has some downsides compared to quick brand (no healing from f2, no stability, no protection, build is basically not changeable - you have to take the utilities).

But if you have the right support class by your side, harbinger is extremely fun to play.

 

Though you need a second boon support in your group that can give Perma alac, at least 15 stacks might, Perma protection and maybe some regeneration or swiftness)
