Xevius.6174
It looks like Anet just put the quickness on "Draconic Echo" so you can't take "Forceful Persistance". In my opinion "Shared Empowerment" would have been much more appropriate to keep the quickness up with Utility 7,8,9 and about 50% Boon Duration. You can still take "Draconic Echo" with you so that you don't lose too much quickness when changing legends and using abilities. This variant would allow for a more flexible way of playing and, in my opinion, would fit better into the class. What are your opinions on this? Attached is a survey on the subject. lotus.5672
It was already the trait used in the meta spvp build, so its a free buff. In a patch so bad like this Im just glad we weren't nerfed tbh, and its actually pretty good paired with Brutality, makes fighting willbenders easier.
Vampiremax.8350
I honestly really like this. It would give room for dragonic echo, as it applies boons for an additional 6 seconds, or u pick forceful persistance in exchange for probably more boon duration and when you want to heal herald, pick elevated compassion. LucianTheAngelic.7054
Draconic Echo is fine for it. The issue is that they increased CDs and also gave it way too low of a quickness duration for PvE. Herald now needs either some fairly massive dps buffs (like 5k or more) or it needs the quickness duration increased. One or the other. There is no way it even close to competes with pQuickScrapper or any of the other QuickDPS at the moment due to how abysmal the dps is overall. Also no way for it compete with all the better supports either because you're either locked out of healing or locked out of stability due to how Utilities work for the class. And ofc no access to Aegis Edited June 29, 2022 by LucianTheAngelic.7054

Instead of increasing quickness, what about lowering cooldowns. This way you get more dps, the build feels less clunky and you get quickness more often. There was no need to nerf them, so yes, lowering CDs would work (but they won't do that now). What they should have done was keep CDs the same and give 2s duration quickness. That would have resulted in about 17s of Quickness on a Draconic Echo Berserker DPS build per Glint rotation and would have been ideal. Then Herald could have been a Hybrid DPS/Support and it would have been fine (if not still underpowered due to somewhat lower dps)
Aeolus.3615
Draconic echo with Brutaly seams a decent combo, no need to weapon swap to get quickness nor legend swap to assassin legend to gain quickness(call of the assassin). Keep on Herald keep using facets and quickness will remove every 9 sec stability from enemies. This from team gameplay standpoint and pvp combat seams pretty decent.
