Returning player, what kind of builds are you guys using now?

Hi! I'm returning to guild wars after playing ff14 for 2 years. How is the wvw meta going? What kind of builds are people running now (especially in zergs)?

Top tiers for zerg atm is :

 

#1 Firebrand, support

#2 Tempest, support

#3 Reaper, dps, cc, boon corrupt

#4 Scrapper, dps

#5 Scourge, dps/condi, cc, boon corrupt

#6 Druid, Support

#7 Spealbreaker, support, cc, boon strip

#8 Herald, dps

#9 Weaver, dps

#10 Bersker, dps

 

This is just my opinion, im sure other ppl have other thought on the matter. But im sure we can ALL agree, that Firebrand is a MUST.

A little changed. 

 

IIRC Tempest has become best healer, but it's too complicated so people still run engineer instead.

Berserker can be tricky. But if u can master it, and ur group is tight and the support is proper, it's well worth running  for the crazy spike dmg.

Just stopping by to say staff dps weaver, if played correctly, still easily tops what most pugs can do for raw DPS. by a large margin. The trouble is that most ppl won't even see 50% of the dps that optimal staff eles see, so this is only an option if youre willing to tryhard rotations with optimized gear+food while trying not to die on the squishiest unforgiving build in the meta. Mileage may vary, meteor shower didn't deserve the last nerf, but still formidable as a DPS role if you have the balls to go full zerk scholar

I take showers in meteor showers nowadays. When meteornado did crit 7-11k then you actually did need to avoid it.
