Nidome.1365 Posted November 17, 2022 Share Posted November 17, 2022 When you are trying to escort Evon Gnashblade to the Asura gates sometimes he stops and walks back to his start point in the process causing all the mobs enroute to respawn again. You then have to fight through them all again hoping that Gnashblade suddenly doesn't get cold feet again and retreat yet again. Evon had just got to the top of the ramp leading onto the plaza with the ruined Lion Statue. Thankfully I got all of the events done before the miasma reached critical levels so I was able to find hidden citizens and moas for said achievements. Dawson.5016 Posted November 27, 2022 Share Posted November 27, 2022 I've been having a similar issue, during the escort he'll keep walking back and forth between two enemy aetherblade spawnpoints. So once I kill one group, he'll walk backwards towards his starting location and trigger another spawn for another group of aetherblades. After I kill them, he'll walk back forward again into the other spawn point I just cleared out. This creates a constant loop of re-spawning and killing groups of aetherblades making it impossible to complete this objective. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

During my last couple playthroughs Evon seems dead-set on having me do his whole escort twice, just in case having to deal with him getting juggled between two ambush respawns at Traders' Forum wasn't exciting enough the first time around. What happens every time now is that Evon becomes completely unresponsive after the last ambush at the Grand Piazza until you try to talk to him. Then the dolyaks get teleported back to the site of the first ambush of the escort and Evon flies/runs back there as well. During a mission with a "You die now." timer. EDIT: I am getting SERIOUSLY tilted, I am doing this for the FIFTH time because of this garbage and the fourth time I had him almost there and then he and his dolyaks *teleported* back to the start I am not having fun. After the aptly named Tower of Nightmares and now this I'm tempted to stop playing. Please. Please let this end. EDIT 2: Evon finally got his act together in the fifth attempt and I got him through. Then he wants to blame Lionsguard for what happened in Lion's Arch... man I'm gonna cut his shins. Especially annoying cause I didn't get the bug at my first attempt but quit the instance because I needed to be afk. Now I wonder if I'll ever finish this story step. Great.
