With Gorseval, the only real obstacle I can think of are going to be the walking spirits while phasing.  In wing 3 I had a custom Deadeye build that I used for back-Warg that could do the trick.  It's.... basically just rifle deadeye, but with Devourer Venom instead of the signet.  By using Spotter's Shot or Bola Shot and the venom, it is possible for 1 deadeye to lock down one of the spirits indefinitely. You'll need at least two, assigned to two different spirits, to lock them down while everyone else prioritizes killing the other two spirits.  Then again, if it is possible to shoot through Gorsey you might be able to just pierce through him, locking down all spirits simultaneously.

We are planning on doing the sub 1, sub 2 split method.

Also seal area can also be used too for spirits, but if at least 2 condi builds take "Devourer Venom" it might help as well.

Create an area that blocks projectiles and prevents enemies from entering or leaving for 8s.

It probably will be a blast! You are welcome to join :D. We need a few more if you are able.

The eggs as well, so being able to keep the last spirit down indefinitely is good while we snipe off the eggs. Having a clean arena also eases access to the updrafts, which I hope will not be required.

Are you sure?  Last I checked Seal Area counts as a hard CC, which the spirits are immune to.  A series of well timed Thousand Needles can also lock them down for 3 seconds each, but that requires more coordination and tighter timing.

I haven't tried it myself, but this part of the skill would make me think it should "prevents enemies from entering or leaving." If it doesn't work this way then it sounds like a bug to me.

Edit: also thanks, good reminder on thousand needles.

Thousand needles work, 5s if you have sufficient expertise, i do this regularly. don't really need coordination, it hits a super large area, put it near the boss.

also since we are using sword 2 spam healers, that already solves the issue, there's even enough time to clear the whole arena of eggs.

It shouldn't be, a condi specter can chill (sc/d 3) and cripple (d4) and then immobilize at 50%. Frankly if 10 thieves can't stop them they have bigger problems than stopping the spirits.

The problem is that those are single target, have a short bouncing range, and aren't nearly as strong as immobilize is.  The main issue with an all thief raid is a lack of quickness on most fights, cutting group DPS by anywhere from 30% to 50%.  Even under cripple the walking spirits can pose a serious threat due to this.  It is why I recommended using a rifle deadeye to lock down one or two of the spirits permanently with Spotter's Shot.

dont for get surprise shot from shortbow on deadeye 1 stealth attack, itll splinter and immobilize the higher malice, STACKS with devourer venom too, buy some time.

i think the sword 2 spam healers are sufficient, throwing out 2s immob per shadowstep, plus thousand needles only if really really needed. Lets not overthink the easiest component of the fight. I hope to keep them alive to allow eggs to be wiped off the map. So we can just pure DPS gorse last phase no updrafts.

we can go with 8 DPS and 2 alac heals.

this is going to be easy. with or without quickness.

just make sure you do the slow CC for optimum DPS and blow CC last minute to get in more dps
