VIERcntHOLZ.9427 Posted July 3, 2023 Share Posted July 3, 2023 Gamers, since I switched to Win-11 I encounter weird random crashes, which seem to occur completely at random (no specific location/encounter/time played) and are not reproducable. From one second to another the game freezes and I get a "Guild wars 2 has stopped working, and will be terminated after this message is closed". Sometimes it doesnt happen at all for a day, other days (today included), it already happened for the third time. I already tried the following: - disable ArcDPS (incl boontable, kp.me plugin and additional extras plugin) (I never had issues with that before) - disable BlishHUD (I never had issues with that before) - start as admin - start in compatibility modus (win8) - updated all drivers to latest - installed DirectDX redist + .net redist - repaired the gw datafiles - currently I am reinstalling the All I can contribute is that on my win11 machine I got... maybe around 6 months ago?... I haven't experienced a single crash. I was actually prepared not to be able to run GW2 at all; this machine was something of an emergency buy, so I got it retail (a laptop without discrete gfx). It was a pleasant surprise to be able to run it at max settings, keep a stable 60fps in group content, and the fan actually turns off from time to time. Just delete those files. these two are the plugins for the boon table + killproof.me - both are downloaded like that and maintained like that - had them (w/o crashes) for ages. Sometimes I can play like literally hours w/o having gw2(incl Arc) crash on me, sometimes (today), it already crashed thrice. random also includes different locations, encounters, in fight/in Hubs etc. pp. - this error doesnt seem to be tied to anything specific. The only way to be sure is if it still crashes without any third-party plugins. The third-party plugins basically get in the way of troubleshooting potential game issues.
