Kindly Reconsider WvW Potions

Not a lot of people play or try WvW. It was neat incentive to start - or keep grinding WvW with your guild. Thanks so much!

Agree, not sure the intent of the WvW potion removal, but they were wroth going for, for a number of reasons. Their removal just feels like more of a loss in WvW rewards that was already a game mode that was lacking when compared to other game options.

The updated instant reward track vials now give 250 each, what the potions used to give.

This change dramatically increases the amount of reward track you get if you are high rank at diamond. I get 1,750 every 20 minutes on average from this. That's 4 ticks. 437 on average. Way more than the 195 you can get plus additional bonuses like 50% from boosters.

So yeah, it is bad if all you do is login, do dailies and log out. Otherwise, the new buffs are amazing.

So actually you can now do a reward track in like 125 minutes if you are max rank. That's way down from when it used to take like 6 hours.

Thank you for sharing this!! That’s encouraging. So major WvW players actually like this better?

while you are not wrong the conversation was about the amount of points per tick at no point did it include the reward from chests. where it still takes some people an hour to get through wood. So yet again a lost benefit for new players but a massive gain for older players. and that's where the problem is.

I would say yes. Obviously the vial buff works regardless of how many pips you get per tick.

Removing potions is bad for people who only get dailes, and then also so you can't save them up for future reward tracks. I wish Anet would actually explain changes. If they don't want people to save them up, just have them auto consume when you get them. Certainly, 1000 from dailies wasn't that much.

Those instant reward track potions gave 25 points previously. Regardless of how many pips you get, that is a 10x increase every time you get one.

Honestly, they might nerf them. I didn't even realize how little they gave before vs now.

and it still takes newer players an hour to complete wood. and most don't come back because of kitten like this. person A completes all the chests in 3 hours on resett Person B doesnt even complete wood. at least with pots of wvw rewards for doing dailies, they could still make comparable progress on reward tracks compared to the diamond shitter. and now while it takes one of us about 2 hours per reward track it will still take the new player 4-6 hours. people don't participate in modes where they don't feel like the reward compensates their time. This is a prime example of that, where anet takes the comparable progress away from a newer person and gives it to a "vet".

No, I wouldn't say that. Depends on how you used the potions. WvW players don't really pay attention to the tracks, they just occur while you play. But it does impact players that might stack them for limited time tracks or for particular goals or to do a quick refill of materials when needed.
