Hero Point events in HoT don't count as events for the Wizards Vault

They are clearly marked in-game as "Events" - as group events specifically - but do not count towards credit for the 'do events' vault quest.

Might be because you can infinitly spawn the same one to get 10 events done quickly.

You can't repeat same Hero Challenge until daily reset, but there is enough of those Hero Challenges that you could to do get those 10 finished in the same day, if that is that you mean.

I don't recall that any Hero Challenge in HoT where marked as group content. I haven't needed a group to do any Hero Challenge in all my years of playing HoT and expansions that came out after that.

Most activities (and I don't talk about what is called Activities where you go from LA to do PvP), will count as Events for WV with some exception as Hearts that you can repeat or Hero Challenge after Daily reset.

Join any kind of meta chain [see Event Timers linked down here] in this game and you will have finished those 10 Events for that weekly Wizard's Vault task in just a few hours.

There are also Events in WvW and PvP that would count, if you are doing those game mode instead.  If you are totally new to this game and just want to do easy Events, then there is enough of those in core Tyria like Escort or collect/fetch things that can be done pretty fast without any hard fighting or knowledge of this game.

Just stay within the border that you can see on map for the main NPC (shield symbol) with orange coloured circle to be counted as part of that event (participation).

(All meta in one place on GW2 wiki. It will show where to go [use chat link and copy it onto chat, click on link and you will see which Waypoint that is close to that event] and which time it will happen)

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dynamic_event

(Here you can see an outline or circle for where event will happen when it is active [image in the same linked page] and the main NPC to interact with in this case a bucket with an down arrow which indicate that you need to collect some item inside that area.)

I don't remember them being marked as a Group Event, but there are quite a few HoT hero challenges that you definitely needed at least a couple of other players to get done back during HoT and even up until recently. Vampire beast broodmother, the one with the champion golem, and the one with the three Coztic Itzel in VB are the first three that come to mind.

Edit: And those (HoT ones where you fight champions) are marked as Group Events, or at least the ones I went by just now are.

Would I like them to? Probably for ease but I don't think ANet meant for Hero Points to actually count as events. For example in POF this works in Crystal Oasis and Desert Highlands (only for the repeatable fight hero points) but doesn't in Elon Riverlands, Desolation and Domain of Vabbi. On the other hand the one in Arborstone does and I think most in EoD do so I don't exactly know what the plan of ANet is on this.

As a resolution I think it's like either make all of them count as events (fight hero points) or non of them the way it's now is just weird.
