(Suggestion) You already have this skin unlocked

One of the annoying things about this game is not knowing which skins you already have unlocked, after completing a chest in pvp and having to remember which skins you already have and dont without having to cycle through your weapons and different armor class characters to find out if you already have that one, or going through the trading post and buying skins you dont have. So something similar to the dyes would be nice.

If you hover over the item, it will show skin unlocked, if is filled then you have it, if is gray then you don't have it

Since skin unlocks are account wide, why not go to any bank or crafting station to look at the wardrobe tab and check what you have? Does the PvP lobby not have a bank?

I assume from your comment that mousing over the pvp chest choices doesn't give you a tooltip, since every armor and weapon tooltip I've seen includes a line in white for skin unlocked or in grey for skin locked.

The game already covers the OP's stated scenario. The only time you can't tell if you have a skin unlocked is if you have a nested container, e.g. like a "Hero's Choice." For dungeon skins, "mouse over" tells you before you select a weapon whether the skin is unlocked or not, just like with a dye-choice chest.

For nested containers, there's nothing special about PvP either: you can't tell if you have all the skins unlocked until you choose to pick a weapon chest from the meta-choice container.

What isn't in the game yet is searching the TP for gear by skin or greying out recipes/skins you've already unlocked, so that's visually apparent without the mouse over.
