Game of Bones.8975
I have always wondered why PoI, Hearts, MPs, and HPs etc are more subdued and harder to see before you earn them, but are shaded in and really easy to see once earned?Waypoints are the only thing I can of that once earned you will want to scan a map and see instantly. ROMANG.1903
When you open your map, you can see all the unlockable things on the top left corner. By hovering your mouse on each of these things, you can see where they are on the local map.
Game of Bones.8975
I'm just saying that I would rather have the reverse; a mastery point that subdues itself when earned so you know what you have done.
Danikat.8537
I suspect it's just because Anet wanted different versions of the same symbol for before and after completion and having an outline which is filled in when complete seemed logical. They didn't seem to think it was a problem that hero points look very similar before and after completion, so maybe they didn't think it was a problem that the icons are harder to spot before completion either. But these parts are easy to see so just go there.
