keenedge.9675
This game has no need of HIGH FPS. The action is not that fast. Having a high FPS seems to be mostly a bragging point these days because the latest wave of video cards are absurdly priced. 1

That is a silly argument no matter how you look at it because no one is actually talking about "high fps" due to the speed of the action. People are talking about getting more than 25 fps.
Melech.4308
If Anet wasn't willing to put in any effort to support the Mac client, they sure as heck won't bother putting in the effort to change OpenGL to DirectX (Windows) or Metal (Mac)
wolfsblut.9435
FYI - Same "Benchmarks-Results" as stated somewhere on page 2 i5-8600K running at 5.2 GHz on Air, RX480 8GB(!), 32GB RAM, M.5 SSD, max settings on 2560x1440. The game runs well inside my freesync range 48-70 most of the time. I lower the character-quality in WvW, hardly ever drops under 30fps. Most drops relate directly to (my!) network. So sometimes resetting my network will resolve "lags" instantly. I'm just desperate to get a new GC cause I would like to run GW on my actual setup (7680x1440). The change from 16 to 32 GB RAM had no impact at all. Edit: using d912pxy had the most impact...right after the upgrade to 5.2 GHz Edited May 9, 2021 by wolfsblut.9435
