I'd love for them to allow underwater weapons on land, as well as make fists a legit weapon. The expansion could also introduce new movement capabilities that are exclusive to the elite specialization, which could make travelling without a mount entertaining. Take all this with a grain of salt, I'm just having fun here. ❤️

Warriors could become Brawlers who primarily use their fists for combat. These Brawlers have spent years studying the ancient martial arts of Cantha. After running on land for a few seconds, Brawlers will eventually begin sprinting - matching the speed of a Raptor.

Revenants can equip the Spear(or staff) and become some sort of Sun Wukong-inspired acrobatic specialization. This specialization will allow the player to use the spear/staff to propel themselves into the air and leap great distances, negating fall damage.

Engineers picked up the Spears and tinkered them into Pulse Cannons: Spears equipped with blasters at the tip to emit a powerful blast from long range. Very sci-fi. Literally no connection to Cantha whatsoever. Highkey inspired from this character.

The Rangers have turned into Savages after living in the outskirts of Canthan civilization for so long, practically devoid of human interaction and have evolved to become literal beasts. Savages consider every living thing on Tyria as their prey, which means they don't have an animal or a pet to accompany them - as they would only eat that poor thing. They also have no need for weapons as they consider their fists as their primary means of killing. Savages can latch onto and crawl along vertical surfaces.

Elementalists can finally be released from the constraints of having to use weapons in order to channel their power, and use their own hands instead to harness all of the attunements at once. Due to the sheer intensity of their power, these Canthan elementalists are constantly hovering above ground and they always have a Swiftness boon.

Mesmers could be Sirens (a music-based specialization) with the Trident. East Asian rulers would always have some type of entertainment accompanying their feasts. Whether it be through singing or dancing, music is always involved. Sirens can zoom through bodies of water, literally zoom.

So basically every class gets great and broken powers which can literally ignore the laws of nature, like ignoring fall damage, climbing vertical walls, sprinting with the speed of a raptor, constant floating above the ground, zooming through physical matter....

Except engineer. Engineer just gets a little bit of pew pew. Lmao.
