What's the best race for Necromancer (lore-wise)?

Title says it all. I plan to create a new Necromancer (already got a Human Necromancer at 73) which I'll make my main character. I am quite into GW2 lore and that's why I want to use a race most fitting to the Necromancer class.

I've come to the decision that it'll either be Sylvari or Human. And that's where I want your opinion: which race fits Necromancer the best? And why?

Once you put the notion that Necromancy is some "evil" out of your head and realize that it is just another school of magic like any other, you realize that pretty much any race is perfectly fit to be a Necromancer.

All of the races dabble in necromancy, from a lore perspective they all fit.

In gw1 and 2 I went with human b/c of Grenth and lore. That our necromancy powers are gifted to us by hm.. Having Balthazar in the story now, I hope to see Grenth in game eventually. Lore: stories of Desmina, the fall of Dhuum and campaigns into the underworld with grenths reapers.

Asura. It should be enough that both Elites have a picture of an Asura.

Necromancer is one of the most ubiquitous professions among the 5 races.
