ANET, please don't support racism or sexism.

Recommended Posts

Why is everyone so concerned about new threads? Are you the forum police? Do you think we are wasting too much server space?

Ppl want their opinion to get out, if no one replies to it (like you just did) it just disappears behind the most commented stuff and if the owners of this forum don't like it they'll remove it themselves.

It's incredible how older forumn members don't understand the basic principles behind how a forum works.

@NapalmDest.1786 said:Her posts on Twitter are very strange. And the way she responded to some of the gamers and community members is crazy.

It really is, the way JP exacerbated things so much by doubling and tripling down on her unfounded accusations is astonishing. You would have thought she'd calm down a little bit or have a moment of clarity and realize she was only making things worse but sadly nope, she just kept going.

The really unfortunate part is those groundless accusations actually do far more to hurt women actually suffering sexism than good because people will see these sort of uncalled for responses and associate this as modern day feminism. Especially when what she said was so so SOOO very unnecessary in so many ways.

No, it's because multiple threads on the same topic make navigating the forum more difficult for everyone.

It's incredible how younger members don't understand the basic principles of courtesy. (not speaking specifically to anyone)

The math behind "sexism = prejudice + power" is wrong.

If you know algebra like any gradeschool child, you will immediately notice that the equation suggests that "prejudice = sexism - power" or "power = sexism - prejudice". It's nonsense.

Also when you parse it with numbers it fails. If women can't be sexist, then sexism = 0.

0 = prejudice + power

Women have no institutional power, so power = 0.

0 = prejudice + 0

However women can still be prejudiced so prejudice = 1.

0 = 1 + 0

Utter nonsense on multiple levels.

You realize the story has been full of racism and sexism since the very beginning don't you? The reasoning was that hopefully the players would recognize it and maybe some of them would see it in themselves and maybe, just maybe try and change their behavior...obviously it hasn't worked.

The worst part is how Peter defended her by saying "She never asked for your feedback". If you don't want feedback, don't post on social media. It's a given rule- male or female- that whatever you post on twitter, facebook, etc- is going to get replies if it's interesting enough to talk about. His explanation that the male user giving her feedback was due to his desire to "mansplain" over her is ludicrous since social media is literally designed for back and forth conversation, it's a normal expectation. There was nothing in there that had anything to do with gender. If you don't want people to pick apart your thinking on a subject, don't post it on social media.

Honestly this seemed like nothing more than a dev who got upset that she received some criticism and felt the need to pull the gender card on a fan. Absolutely disgusting, abhorrent behavior, and I can't believe there are people out there in this world that would defend this. It is literally sexist to defend her for obvious misandry.
