What if we could fight while mounted?

However, instead each mount would have different 2,3,4 & 5 skills based on the profession of the player riding them.

He, He, He!!! I think at mesmers. They have on skill 2 and 4 clone and phantasm generation. It will be nice to see a mounted mesmer suddenly becoming a cavalry squadron =). Or a flying one. Another reason to cry: Mesmer OP, nerf it!

Nice idea for example one of the skills for the mesmer jakal could be it summons "clones" of you riding your mount that run along side you. Each clone works as a misdirect / evade.

It might actually work if they introduced a dedicated mount and weapon for it and restricted it to certain new maps. My vote would be for a Stag mount that gives you one "mount attack" with the horns, and introduce polearms/spears in the same update(polearms for melee jousting, thrown spears for range), which provide unique profession-specific attack skills when mounted.

Throw in some "magic" reason that we can only use the new mount in the newest maps (maybe instead of a Stag it's some Warclaw type "artificial" beast that needs to be in proximity to particular magic in the new area, whatever, just asspull something) and then tinker with the balance.

Voila, epic mounted combat without breaking the game.
