  1. Could be a pawn issue then. Each pawn comes with their own sound settings. One of them may be scripted to override certain sounds, and may be interfering with the sound that causes the loop. If that's the case, then the option in the pawn has to be set to not override and its sound volume set to a lower one. I would have to run a map debugger to know for sure, and I, obviously, can't. πŸ˜† Running a map optimisation will point out issues that can be fixed. If you include all possibilities, heck, even a path node or a spawn trigger could be causing it, for many reasons. All it takes is that spawn node/trigger having the same name as a sound trigger, for some reason. Mapping is a wonderful thing, and I loved doing it bavk in the day, but can be an absolute nerv wrecking experience. All it takes sometimes is one misplaced static mesh that's invisible or a pawn that's not properly scripted. If I may: I did a huge 490x490 map once, leaving space for the skybox and movers. It took me months to build. Vehicles, objectives, the works. War music... man, I was so happy with it. It had forests, mountains, rivers, waterfalls, meadow. Anyways, all it took was to try adjust the terrain tiles to look more realistic, rather than an old 3 pixels texture game... and now the map wont load. WHY? I was so effing angry after months of mapping in my best map yet. I never bothered again up to this day. I couldn't find the issue, and I left it at that. Occasionally I update some maps I was doing as part of a complete game, but 15 minutes into it, and I get bored. I guess the point of the essay is just to highlight that mapping isn't easy, and just to be patience. They might be trying to figure out what the issue is.
  2. Then it must be some sort of music zone or event trigger that overrides the music currently playing, but there's something missing in the trigger. Perhaps needs tweeking in the timer section of the trigger, and hence the short loop. So yeah, looks like it's a zone or event trigger issue. Perhaps they forgot to increase the timer in the trigger itself or to optimise the map for it to take effect. Could be that simple. If it is a scripted trigger, then it might not be that easy to fix; because it is dependant on other events to trigger, and perhaps there's a missing trigger somewhere, or that's not meant to be there. I'm sorry to speak in mapper terms. It might be all jeeba jaba to you. But it may help report a bug in game. I've had similar issues in my mapping days, with triggers. Sometimes they are so easy to do, as they are intuitive and self explanatory, but other times are a real nightmare. Don't get me started on zone triggers that inflict damage on an instigator when you swap sides. πŸ˜„ yeah.... can you feel the thunder coming? (Where's that Jackie chan meme?) πŸ˜•
  3. Try update your audio software. Try using a Bluetooth device and see if it persists. Try external speakers. Do a troubleshoot on audio devices. If everything comes out clean, try gw2 client repair/fix. If it persists after all that, then I'm sorry, your comp might just not have the audio components required. Have faith though, and let me know what worked... or if not... I may have a few more tricks up my sleeve.
  4. I agree that we need more hair colours in character creation. We should be able to use those colours we've unlocked. Up vote from me. πŸ”ΊοΈ
  5. And voilΓ . Mystery solved. Nice one. +5 🌟 awarded. Thank you. And also @Inculpatus cedo.9234 I'm glad that I'm not going crazy. πŸ˜†
  6. I considered that. I've looked several times in the bank. They're not there. But as I just mentioned above. Neither of ghe accessories are listed in the official wiki. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_accessories So I really don't know what happened. Could have those two items been removed from the game?
  7. Well. This is very strange indeed. I just looked here: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_accessories And neither of the two accessories are listed here. Either I'm losing my marbles, or I shifted into a parallel dimension. In that case never mind. Thanks for trying though. Appreciated.
  8. Thanks. I'll take another look, just in case. I did do look, but wasn't there. I'll update.
  9. Pretty sure I would know if I deleted them. Double clicking to equip an item while in equipment window, equips items, doesn't delete them.
  10. I've had these two exotic accessories for a while. They were account bound not soul bound, so I've had them on different characters. Yesterday I equipped them to a female warrior Spellbreaker, only to vanish in thin air, and both her previous accessories remained. There was a window pop up, but I didn't read it. I presumed it was the standard verification: "Are you sure you want to equip this?" Or something along those lines. Well. They just vanished. Any reason why? Does anyone know? They were: Something blossom something. (White and yellow flower like) And a ambrite something. It's one of those moments when you're like "what just happened?" πŸ˜•
  11. He throws it back at you , followed by a meteor, and knock you out. Then comes grenth and scythes you and you will have to wp. Then, for an hour, you will force wear donkey ears, and you will gnarl every 30 seconds. πŸ˜†
  12. I'm currently leveling up 3 characters, and I've run out of tomes of knowledge, so I'm relying on the Adventure guide to get xp real good. Problem is... I never needed to do this till recently, and the characters end up dying a lot of times, because they either drop from too high, or get overwhelmed by too many foes, because only one or two can't get the job done. So, a place where you can get the rally point to count without the actual risk for the characters to get KOed? Thanks in advance. Peace ✌️
  13. This much. ... and this too. Now mine: Just a quick one today. The portal to Wizard's tower in Lion's Arch is way too crammed in between the other two portals. Is it too hard to move the hoelbrak portal a bit to the right? It is a static mesh + a zone trigger, right? There is plenty of room there to make it look neater. Also, might aswel that I'm at it. Why are all the portal's particle emitters purple? They should have different colours according to the zone you're teleporting to. Eg. Black citadel = Charr Grey Hoelbrak = Snow white Divinity's reach = Meadow Yellow The Grove = Forest Green Rata Sum = Remain purple Southsun = Sea Blue That's all... for now. πŸ˜ƒ
  14. In the beta testing, I never actually tried the double maces, so no clue how they function. Are they like blunt damage maces or do they work differently? Sorry. Never mind, i found this:
  15. 1. Preparations Please give Rangers preparations as utility skills. Fire, bleeding, interrupts (poison gas), etc. But make it better than gw1. I know you can. For instance, the prep you use, it stays on weapon until you change it. Say you apply ignite arrows. All your long bow skills now change to fire damage with fire effects. Instead of standart damage, it applies burning. 2. Bladesworn Please change bladesworn two resources bars into just one, and make the mechanics different instead of standing vulnerable for long seconds before being able to do an attack. Solution: Once the momentum bar is full, press once to trigger a sphere that moves left to right inside a bar. You may continue fighting while the sphere moves. Time it right in the center, and it will perform a Dragon move, according to how close you triggered the sphere in the centre. The longer you leave it running, the faster the sphere moves, but it will cause more damage. This. Is how bladesworn mechanics should function. Also, please remove the scabbard when Dragon blade is active. It's absolutely pointless and unnecessary. Also, please make it possible for us to change the blade's skin. The blade is ugly IMHO. 3. Naming characters Please consider adding that number suggestion I did a while ago, about adding a [0000] four digit number after the name that can be the same as the number in account name. That way, whichever name you use on your characters, it's guaranteed to be available to every player. I'm on 36 characters now, approx. And counting, and I'm finding it really frustrating at times finding names for my role-playing obsession needs. Yes, I like role-playing, a lot. Most of my characters are based on my 10 original gw1 crew, characters from other games, or a combination of both. I believe that out of the entire cast, only 4/36 are original. A mere four characters are Guild Wars 2 born and bred. 4. Racing tracks Please consider making separate maps for beetle racing with proper racing tracks. Something like the game wipeout. 5. Guild automated system At the moment I have a little more time to play, but I'll get back to work soon, and managing a Guild with close to 400 players is time consuming. I want to enjoy the game, but I have a ton of players that create new accounts and only play for a few hours and never return. Once every two weeks or so, I have to spend time clearing out inactive players. So here's my suggestion. The automatic system would have rules that you can tick to play and adjust. For instance: Rule 1: The following action is taken after these many months of inactivity and/or not representing = (#) β–‘ Demote β–‘ Kick Apply this rule to the following ranks = β–‘ New Player β–‘ Veteran Etc. Include = β–‘ Inactivity β–‘ Non representative More options: Copy this rule and edit. Next rule. Rule 2: Promote to next rank after following actions = β–‘ Participated in successful guild missions these many times = (#) β–‘ Donated materials these many times (#) β–‘ Represented for this much amount of time (#) This automatic system would make Guild leaders lives much easier. 6. Character creation Please make it possible to retain character looks customisation in character creation, when you go back to select class. Sometimes you pick a class, but when it gets towards the end you decide to change class, having to start the whole process again to customise the character's looks. The reset should only happen on race or gender change. The armour, offcourse, would still change, but not everything you've touched to that point. Such as body or facial features. Thanks people. Have a good one.
  16. Thanks for all the information. Much appreciated.
  17. Thanks Dan. Can they be purchased or have to be crafted?
  18. This question is probably rhetorical, because the answer might be obvious, but I need to know for sure. Legendary Runes can only be applied to legendary armour, right?
  19. Wizard's tower, not castle. And no, it's not based on any gw1 interactive storyline. I explicitly said and even gave a list of active story lines in gw1.. The tower is there, but there's no story on it, no missions. No interaction. Nothing. That's what I'm referring to.
  20. There's still hope for every class to get to use every single weapon on the game. Nah. Maybe I shouldn't... It's hoping too much. And yeah, a year till maintenance mode was a bit exaggerated. I'm aware that SotO still has its conclusion on the way. I was not aware of the other two mini expansions. I missed that post. I do hope that WvW reconstruction is making good progress. It's the mode I play on the most. Any ideas what theme the two xpacs are based on? I mean, SotO is perhaps the first xpac that isn't based on gw1 stuff. HoT based on prophecies. PoF on nightfall. IBS on Eye of the North. EoD on Factions. So basically SotO is the first original xpac. Where do we go from here, and what to expect?
  21. Oh well. If you're right, there goes the excitement out the window, then. Pffft. I was hoping we'd still get to see places such as Dzalana, Scavengers Causeway, Maguma Wastes, and all of the surrounding areas that are still locked. Never mind then. Guess I'll never see my complete RP mesmer by getting a main hand pistol, or an elementalist with a great sword. If that hidden secret project is some other game, we can say bye bye for future guild wars 2 content. The new staff might be to just finish off SotO, then it's done. Which means we'll only have another year before going into maintenance mode, if that. On the positive side, maybe I'll finally get my so desired mercenary slots. Only time will tell.
  22. What are you on about? Did you even click the link and read it? What makes you so sure it's for something else, when it clearly states that the staff they're hiring is for Guild Wars 2!? I don't think this is multiple choice or up for the individual's interpretation. They just simply don't want to reveal what it is. It could be a fifth expansion, or just something else altogether. But definitely points out that is for guild wars 2.
  23. Hope you get the job. If you are willing to move, that's a huge advantage.
  24. Well, this seems exciting. "Unannounced project" for Guild Wars 2 https://massivelyop.com/2024/01/24/arenanet-opens-up-more-job-postings-for-guild-wars-2-and-its-still-developing-unannounced-project/
