  1. The fractal is just garbage, at least the final battle. Annoying but not of a threat if you know what to do. Still one of their worst implementation and maybe a reason why they stopped shipping a fractal in the last 12 months.
  2. I'm here since 2013. Was speed running dungeons, fracs & raids and one of the first people to have the fractal god title. If you talk about supports having to take toughness you're not competent and we are done with the discussion here. Sorry mate, but you belong to another league. That's no problem but please don't spread nonsense and just enjoy your casual content. I won't judge you because of that. Have fun in the game.
  3. @sokeenoppa.5384After reading his posts in other part of the forums I think we all here should agree explicitly that he is not a very experienced player in terms of builds and instanced content. His 1k CM kps are not true because that would have been impossible for him to obtain since he hadn't had any few weeks ago. Also I'm missing lots of logic in his posts, here and in the usual discussion forum. For me personally it's a waste of time to argue with him.
  4. Many people are very happy that he left considering he was responsible - at least he represented the issue - for the 0 hash bans that were totally unjustified and had to be solved via an GDPR inquiry from a player. Astonishing he was still with the company after the layoffs.
  5. Since you only can have 69 chars on one account and wood respawns in a one hour cycle it's highly debatable that you'll achieve those high gold numbers. Running the pc the whole day with this routine is stupid at best. I would rather farm crypto currencies than letting my pc running GW2 for 24h/7d to get wood. Just so you know aint the max 71? EditIf I remember right the veteran reward you got before hot +1 t the hot ultimate +1 and the pof ultimate +1 was added ontop of the 69 you can buy as baseWell, if 69 or 71, the difference shouldn't matter. Additionally I doubt that people were aiming for that on purpose and in significant numbers.
  6. Yes, and you could also play SW for 24 hours a day. We can discuss this topic back and forth till oblivion but it won't change Anet's mind because the effect is too little compared to the fact that we have maps like Tarir, Dragonfall and a SW meta that is up for over 4 years now where materials are generated in so much larger margins than the chopping. Those people are a drop in the bucket but I guess the complaints would only stop if Anet was revealing data. Even then I would expect people to claim: "But but but..."
  7. The annoying bosses that got molten within one minute or less with people in proper gear? The essence on Siren's Landing was and is pointless and wasn't used regularly by players at all.

  9. Report, move on and if he's still there since 3 years it's rather not botting. And you were told that those actions are not violating the game rules if those players are responding to a GM. You can also prove by yourself how rewarding this kind of "afk farming" is if you put a char on such spots yourself. I warn you beforehand: It's not worth the time wasting. Nothing has been bad, gotten worse or will get worse in terms of those farms. The economy is stable and only disturbed by big actions from the company like Istan farming, Tarir multiloot and introducing new items (for example legendary weapons) that need lots of materials. The fun part is: All of the big problems GW2 actually has have nothing to do with economy. We are surviving wood and AFK farming since years now and none of those actions have had a serious influence on playing the game or even making money in the game and buying shiny stuff.
  10. One account with 69 chars makes less than 10g per day and it is creating gold which is affected by the 15% fee from the trading post. In raids and fractals you are creating gold out of thin air which is worse for the game if we are nitpicking. Also, with daily fractals alone you & I gain much more gold than such wood farmer in about the same time. And? You get your gold by raids/fractals and they are chopping wood for it. That's absolutely fine since Arenanet created the game like this and that you can do different tasks to get some rewards. Because it was told to you and others hundreds of times now: Players get sanctioned if they are reported and violating the game rules. If they are reported and don't violate game rules they won't get a punishment. Easy as it is. And again: It is not AFK farm if they are replying to a GM that comes around and whispers to them. They already know because the topic is not new to them. See above, they made clear statements of what is allowed and what not. You don't make the rules, they do and even if you feel this isn't right they won't change it because the issue is a non-issue for the game and only because there are a handful of players - that in addition predominantly have no real insights on botting - not liking those players they won't take action. Sorry to say but you have to accept that if you like it or not.
  11. Very optimistic view and in my opinion unrealistic as hell. I'd rather go with Thornwolf on this one since the last 10 months are supporting his statement much more than vague comments from a company that has always been terrible in communication with their players.
  12. If that were true elder wood would be worthless but on the contrary the prices are totally fine. Elder wood farming exists since years and there's 0 evidence of a destruction of the auction house which implies the reverse conclusion that this farming method has no significant impact on the economy at all.Let's face it: 1 account with 69 chars only harvesting wood in that spot means 690 elder wood logs (69 x 10 logs) which is less than 10g. I don't know how fast it takes with a good pc, ssd and common stable internet connection to run through all of them but I doubt it's going to be very much faster than 30s per char which means round about 30 minutes. I'm hurting the economy much more running T4 fractals and generating more gold (15-25g+) out of thin air that is not affected by anything in contrast to the wood which is affected by the 15% fee of the trading post. The whale thing is a whole different story and as much as I respect Sam what he has done for the GW2 community I think stuff like reddit exchange and known supervisors should be targeted by Arenanet and sanctioned harshly. But it seems that they don't have an interest here (we could add: as well) since it would mean that they have to increase drop rates of all super rare items - mostly infusions - and allow higher values in the TP.But even here the question is: Is that a big problem of the game at the moment? I would say drop rates are but I know lots of people that disagree with me because they like the lottery effect. So, overall not a big thing for the community, I guess. In the end I'm more afraid of the direction this game is going to and that has nothing to do with the trading post or market values of ingame items.
  13. No, I said that no matter what time of day or night I go there they are always there. And maybe they think you’re botting as well since no matter what time of day or night they go there, you are always there. Why are you defending the botter so aggresively like OP is accusing you? Because he as a player has no proof that his observations are definitive bots. The only thing he can do is assume since he has 0 tools or competences to check the backbone. People have been accused of botting since aeons in PvP games and even myself have been insulted in several competitive matches in the past where the skill difference between me and the other player was so big he was just not able to realize what was happening. In most of the cases you have no evidence or possibility to convict somebody of using a bot.
  14. The question is more of: Why on earth are you doing that to yourself?I mean you don't have any competences or possibilities to ensure that those are bots/AFKers or anything related nor are you able to sanction these. Is this a hobby for you? Just asking because GW2 is a game that should bring joy and good vibes to you personally and not feel like a detective or denunciation simulation. Assuming you are having fun that would be weird to me.I would reccommend to "let go" and focus on playing or something different because you won't change them. Anet's policy is clear and they are acting against unauthorized things as has been proven in the past supported by players that were banned for a short time and reported that here and on reddit.
  15. Well, mandatory for getting all the rewards != mandatory for beating the encounters. But if you were right it would be a disaster for everyone out there admiring & wishing more challenging content because it would mean that they abandoned fractals and raids or at least disregard this content even more than they did in till today. I go ahead and say I lose every respect towards those players favoring challenging content in the past and accepting or better praising such a cheap replacement tactic by the company. Nobody can tell me that people could be that desperate. Maybe it's only my opinion and of a few combatants but seriously I don't let them get away with that.
  16. Likely the ones who used ARCDPS to micromanage the smallest build change to be its own separate build template. You know, the ones who had 20+ chrono builds for raids. I don't think that people bothering much about adjusting to open world content. The main use of those numerous builds are for min maxing in instanced content that really (or at least to some extent) challenges the player and the group. Open world content doesn't follow that way at the moment and has rarely done so in the past (Triple Trouble, new Teq in the first weeks of his release as exceptions).Additionally the buffs are too unimpressive and it definitely seems like a "nice to have" rather than a "must have" like the mastery in Siren's Landing. It can be needed to unlock seals & doors but not to be necessary for a fight or anything related because the big majority of casual players will storm the forums and complain. The new mastery won't even be needed for Strikes because it's already said in the announcement that those essences can be used to be strong enough in low-mans and overcome the encounter. That equals to: 10 men groups won't struggle at all with or without the masteries.
  17. Hmm, maybe I am doing that, maybe I'm not. That's why I like the anonymous internet. ;) Well, their statement was and I doubt it hasn't changed: "(T4) Fractals are the stepping stone to raids." and not Strike Missions. Strikes are more like an overall entry to instanced content and not "a level between raids".According to the latest info we got the essences will make players to be able to compete in smaller groups than 10 a.k.a. setting a self-restriction like players did themselves over the years with low-man speed running dungeons, fractals and raids. The focus on Strikes is pretty set in my opinion considering we are heading to a one year drought of a new fractal (Siren's Reef was released on January 8th!) and the last raid was a big disappointment for the target audience. For me it's just logical: Fractals need a lot of resources because you have a broader environment with "in between bosses" and trash mobs detached from the main story which means they have their own (so we're back at additional resources to be spent) and for raids it's the same with probably way more fine tuning and development.I just have no hope that there will be quality in terms of challenging content. Even if they make Strikes harder it's a cheap investment due to not having the charm, a special lore or an unique environment. Overall it costs less and can be shipped out in an ls time frame. Sorry, not buying it and they definitely won't satisfy the crowd that wants to have challenging content.
  18. No, I said that no matter what time of day or night I go there they are always there. Yes logging one character to another and not "maybe sometimes" accompanied by other actions. It's always the same actions at the same time on every character and I've never seen them move. Even if there's a banner planted where they spawn you can see the character turn to take the banner buff rather than chop the wood then they stand there do their utility skill same as normal and do nothing until they switch chars, then the next character will take the buff and not chop wood etc. Rinse and repeat. If this was someone quickly switching characters then they'd move away from the banner to be able to farm the wood, correct? Whereas a bot won't because as far as it's concerned it's done it's job. That would be a macro or someone watching netflix or doing other stuff and just not realizing that he only takes the buff. Still no proof of being a bot and since you reported specific accounts several times and I assume many others as well it has already been checked by Arenanet. And if not I couldn't care less because I'm not the ingame police. So, even if you really think it's an issue it is most likely not. I'm more concerned about the game as a whole than some random guys making gold via wood. These account don't disturb players nor do they have an impact on players making enough money in the game.
  19. When I say one after the other I mean there's 1 char appears goes through the routine I mentioned then vanishes. Then next char appears does the same, then next char and next etc. Then next account will start 1 char at a time, then next account etc. And they are there 24/7. I work shifts so sometimes I'm playing during the day and sometimes I'm playing overnight and whatever time I go to harvest elder wood they'll be there one char after another. So, like logging to a char, chop the wood, log out, log in, chop the wood, rinse & repeat, maybe sometimes accompanied by other actions like moving a bit forward e.g.Again: That's not botting.
  20. I took some time and paused there for 15 minutes. As an amateur it was impossible to detect a potential bot so I assume you're neither. Logging from char to char is not botting.
  21. I'm totally calm, lol.The thing is: The mastery is either necessary to overcome certain hurdles and then it would be too complex for the majority of the casual player base like cc bars and that stuff or it's useless and we can bypass it due to ignoring. There won't be any "in between".The 10-20% you mentioned only refers to dps since you don't need anything else in open world btw. And I only mentioned Strikes, not other competitive modes - I don't even know why you came up with that because it makes no sense in this discussion at all.But the essence system is definitely present in Strike missions - read the announcement again if you haven't noticed it. So, either Strikes stay easy as they are now without the system (and hence we don't need it) or you'll need the new masteries which will then definitely turn to restrictions in the lfg because no matter what random players will screw things up when it comes down to mandatory mechanics in instances. I bet this is going to be similar to Siren's Landing mechanic (Siren of Orr mastery). It wasn't very useful and nowhere near mandatory or of at least little advantage.
  22. Reddit is way more popular than this forum. At least it's more than 10 x popular if not way more. Replies to the new trailer: around 100 here together in several threads vs. more than 1000 on reddit in several threads. And no, those aren't russian bots. So, what is the spirit of GW2 because such thing doesn't exist officially. And since we all are different human beings with different habits and hobbies our game time and choices diverge heavily. If I don't like to run AC 2000 times because I already ran it about 1000 times (no joke, I did!) why on earth should I don't like this game. Your argumentation doesn't make sense at all. You can't do that with my account name neither. You have to log in and search for me in the actual game or browse very long through the AP list and be lucky to find me because there is no search option. Additionally you don't know that this maybe - just maybe - is my 2nd account. Hint for you: We had some discussions in the cyrillic letter thread with my main acc which is a little bit different from this one.
