  1. I mean, you come up with the idea to "upgrade it", so maybe you could use your imagination to make an actual proposal in line with what you're describing in this post. As it is now, I don't think it needs a buff. If it has a way to go vertically by itself, it becomes better -faster- skycale. Griffon can already fly basically infinitely.
  2. I'm not looking into exact pricing, but overally that probably would be the way.
  3. The cd does feel a little long, but I disagree that it makes it too prohibitive to make use of it. It can be used for some "crucial" moments -with accurate shooting instead of just spraying it- without spending the bubbles. The higher cd might be there simply to not make the slingshot obsolete -if you want to spam ranged attacks, you're paying bubbles for it. If you just need to activate switches or kill specific mobs on the way, the bow does it well enough.
  4. In that case, OP has no point to make for this request because he can keep dong the same? If you think that's the target for statuettes then OP is already included. Except OP based his request on not being able to buy keys, because... that's the actual target for fast keys/statuettes acquisition here.
  5. The question was: how would those encounters work in open world? I think they wouldn't. They'd be a zerged semi-afk "content" like current open world bosses are, which don't have much to do with raids/strikes/fractals. "dedicate one mode" is a bad idea, because those modes don't do the same thing. They can decide on "fractals over dungeons" or "strikes over raids" because those are targetting similar experiences, but that's also exactly what they are currently doing. You're basically advocating for them to cut content types while hoping what they cut isn't what you like? I think that's a bad idea. Ok, you added it in when I was already responding, so it wasn't there for me at the time. So it looks like you don't have a specific idea on this, it's not even some wishful thinking about "what it could be in the perfect world", but instead it's just saying whatever and then expecting them to somehow come up with something to fulfill the request which (as far as I can see with what you just wrote above) isn't even specific enough to understand what it's supposed to achieve in the game. Well, I asked the questions I did, because I was hoping you actually had the idea to push for. Doesn't seem like it though. Yes, I do understand what thread I'm in -and so that's also what I'm talking about. But there seems to be lack of understanding that their goal was not really to "keep releasing new iterations of old content for the sake of it", it was "we want to improve this content, but it's either impossible or unreasonably hard to the point it's simply easier to make an entirely new iteration of it". It's a workaround to a problem, not something they came up with at the game's release and then just continued with their plan to "quickly mill through different content types/modes". Chances are if they make a new mmorpg, they'll go with the latest current iterations (so fractals/strikes) OR -most probably- make new, refreshed ones. At that point the actual request/hope here should be for them to make content (doesn't mean a single one by any means) which is easier to fix and manipulate (by devs) into something that could include new improvements, so there's no need to release new types of old modes in the first place.
  6. I think you're both missing the point of introducing those "substitutes" (like "dungeons -> fractals" and "raids -> strikes"). The point seems to be an attempt to improve the content, but apparently it's either not reasonably possible to do with the old content or it's much easier to create a new iteration (fractals/strikes) than to implement the changes/improvements to the old content.
  7. Ok, am I reading this wrong or what was this about? And you didn't clarify on the first half of the post: How are fractals/raids supposed to work in ow? How is wvw supposed to work in ow when everyone can freely turn it on and off any time they want? For now I don't see how any of these are supposed to be beneficial at all.
  8. No, unless for some reason you really want to slot superior runes in lvl 60-79 gear.
  9. Statuettes are meant as a "safety" mechanism for people using keys. You get statuettes for using keys. Anet wants you to buy keys to get that particular loot. Since it's rng, adding the "even if you don't get the time limited item you wanted, this key didn't entirely go to waste" mechanism increases the initiative for people to actually buy and use keys. Including easly accessible statuettes in wv plays against the reason the specials -and statuettes- are included in the chests, so doubt it will happen since money. No, it doesn't mean it can't happen, but it's doubtful it will, especially in the emount OP wants to see it in.
  10. "how do I pass this without dodge jump?" -just dodge jump twice Please 😅 If someojne doesn't want to use dodge jumping, the solution is to trigger the rock by quickly running in and out or -if surroundings allow- by dodging into it.
  11. How are they "essencially dead"? They're not. The players do them and they are popping up in lfg as well. So as much as "essencially dead" and "actually dead" aren't the same, that doesn't change anything about you being wrong on that as far as I'm aware. And considering I'm SABing fairly often, I'd say I am aware. Yes, you did dodge them. And no, there were no answers to them earlier. Nothing here is "gatekeepy" in any way. And your claims about "it not being about rewards" are clearly false when your whole motivation is trying to spam every achievement posible in one run every single day, while claiming you "have to" do it. Your previous claims in the thread (which I questioned) are false and so is what you just wrote above. Another completely baseless claim. Stop being so glaringly wrong while making up this nonsense.
  12. You don't need to min-max to comfortably play this game. Stat infusions are "just a little extra".
  13. Anet sticking to their intended reward structures isn't poking any holes in anything I said. As I said, read the post you've quoted along with the full context -which is like 3 posts in this comment chain- and understand what you're commenting on. I can only assume you refuse to do that because you know you have nothing relevant to say about it. I'll be here when you finally decide to read and respond accordingly though. "You're clearly avoiding what I said" is what I'm saying for a few posts now btw.
  14. Oh yes, I understand that. Which is why I wrote: Well then read the post you've quoted along with the full context -which is like 3 posts in this comment chain- and understand what you're commenting on.

  16. You might think it doesn't and yet it's still a description of how games work and it's still not gatekeeping anything.
  17. How are fractals/raids supposed to work in ow? How is wvw supposed to work in ow when everyone can freely turn it on and off any time they want? For now I don't see how any of these are supposed to be beneficial at all. I wonder what you're playing if you "have no idea what any of those lobbies are" btw -pvp only? In that case... I'm not sure why you decided to make a thread about lobbies when you don't understand what they do?
  18. I don't see the need for any additional portals though.
  19. Cool, hope you understand the reasoning I'm using here though. I'd still say "Do the content for the rewards you want" is the basic concept of games being games instead of "gatekeeping whatever", but I think I get why you're attempting to use this wording instead of addressing what I'm writing.
  20. So that's the solution here. That's about it. Ok. I do, because it doesn't make sense. Granted that I'd make all legendaries strictly require the broad content of the game shared between the different modes. Yup, each piece of it. What's the point of putting it there once a year? Those players can simply play a bit of wvw here and there and get it faster. If they don't want to? Well, legendaries are completely optional.
  21. Stop trying to "min max your gold spending" ("not getting it because it's not healer gear!"), I thought you already learned it doesn't work well for you since you end up not being able to clear content. When you've started playing the game, you've basically stood in front of the staircase and instead of taking 4 steps to reach the top of it, you concluded it's not worth the effort when you can just keep trying to jump to the top with one move. Then you proceed to keep falling down, so you come to the forum for help, made one step forward and now went back to saying it's not worth taking next steps because you'll just reach the top in one jump. Just play the game instead of stressing over spending 10 gold. You'll get much more soon enough.
  22. Or mayeb you -or op- could enter wvw from time to time and just get it that way.
  23. That was literally always a valid choice. Judging from your "it's bad because I [optionally!] have to do something" posts, it becomes increasingly clear that you indeed might hate the game. In that case, maybe play the game you like instead. gob is a reward for wvw participation. I find putting a reward for wvw participation in content that has nothing to do with wvw to make no sense at all. If you don't want to do it then don't. Legendaries are and always were optional in this game.
  24. No, you don't. Nothing makes any two zones "dead" based on what is being said in this thread. Nothing is also "gatekeepy" in any way, make sure you understand the terms you're trying to use. Although I find it extremely telling that you quoted the post pointing out you keep avoiding the questions you quote and... you dodged what was being said/asked in this post as well. Does that mean at this point you know you're wrong and just need to keep making up new nonsense (like the current mention of anything here being "gatekeepy") while dropping the previous notions you and I made in this comment chain? Because that's how it looks like. If that's not what you're doing then go back to the previous questions and start answering. Otherwise... well, keep showing you understand you're wrong here 🤷‍♂️
