  1. It is when it's gatekeeping me out of group content suddenly and someone can be toxic and kick because of it
  2. Giving the chance for someone to be toxic and kick you because the game has purposely invented requirements that gatekeep you suddenly from the group content is bad!
  3. That would be a great start, the option to be able to buy mastery unlocks would be awesome!
  4. Point is, it's not fun, takes too long and is gatekeeping the content
  5. Gear is easy to get just with normal play and doesn't require hours of grinding
  6. Requirements like these are tanking the raids down. No wonder anet cancelled the raids.
  7. It's stupid that one boss is gatekept like this, why are other bosses accessible without masteries? people are defending the encounter but it really is discriminating to be able to complete it but lacking some stupid mastery behind a long grind.
  8. Hi, i was recently doing some raiding and then got kicked out of a raid group because i didn't have lay line gliding. How can this game have this kind of gatekeeping in the content? I though gw2 is a game for everybody and then i encounter this kind of discrimination. This should be changed asap and let people play raids that doesn't require some long and tedious event grinding for hours and hours.
  9. on the paper, meh, in reality, no, the projectile classes are the biggest problem the game has faced in a long time, if you don't have a class that's ranged you can't simply really play cause everything just runs away while blasting you with high damage that being said, auras don't keep you alive really, you can pick the rune but there are better options that give more stats you can try it out and pick the rune and then compare it to something else, i am pretty sure it's hard to know how much the extra aura duration is actually helping you depending on the choices of runes you pick
  10. Bad take, can't force ppl to keep playing. Removing pvp would not increase your fractal population. Just saying "Become brainless everyone!" with "forcing pvpers to do map completion" (???) just means that all the ppl who play pvp would just completely stop playing the game and that's it. The pvp population has already been ignored for years now and that's FACTS. ps. punching bag pve with low mechanics and skills off cd sucks btw
  11. read more carefully lol.
  12. walk right out of the game and let guys like you stay there, maybe ele fix ruins your class
  13. As a veteran player myself, I can relate to your sentiment. Over the years, I've witnessed a decline in the overall skill level and teamwork of players in PvP. But let's not forget the bigger issue here: Arenanet. The company's lack of action and care for the game is the root of the problem. We've seen countless promises and hype for new features and improvements, only to be disappointed time and time again. It's clear that the company is more focused on churning out cash shop items and expansions rather than addressing the fundamental issues within the game. The player quality in matches is just a symptom of a larger problem. Unfortunately, I don't see things changing anytime soon. Arenanet has proven time and time again that they're more interested in making a quick buck than providing a quality gaming experience for their players. So, while it's easy to blame the players for the poor quality of matches, let's not forget that Arenanet is the real culprit here. As veterans, we've learned to accept the reality of the situation and just try to make the best of it.
  14. I feel like that's a you issue. I've personally won multiple times vs a team with a tempest and lost while having one. Tempest can be quite difficult to deal with and their ability to reflect projectiles and provide AoE healing and condition clears can be overwhelming, and it can be frustrating to play against. There are ways to counter the Tempest's strengths, such as using CCs and focusing on burst damage.
  15. Tempest's stability is shockingly low in certain situations, particularly outside of the overload channel. It's frustrating to see my character constantly vulnerable to attacks that deal condition damage, which can be difficult to defend against. While the Tempest does have some powerful mass AoE reflects, they just don't seem to cut it when facing projectile-based attacks. You need to run 3 defensive utilities and I mean, come on, we're talking about survival here. And let's face it, not all players are created equal - some may not have the skill or experience to deal with the Tempest's weak defenses. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but in my view, the Tempest's defenses need serious rethinking. There may be those who disagree with me, but I stand by my word that tempest is not the problem.
  16. You're dismissing some important points. While it's true that the meta can shift over time, and that some Ele builds can be effective in certain situations, it doesn't change the fact that Ele has some inherent weaknesses that can make it difficult to play effectively in certain situations. The squishiness of the class and the energy-intensive nature of its abilities can be major obstacles in high-pressure situations, and its lack of flexibility can make it difficult to adapt to changing battlefield conditions. These are not minor issues, and they can't simply be dismissed by pointing to the current meta. I think it's important to acknowledge the challenges that Ele faces, rather than simply dismissing them as outdated or irrelevant.
  17. I wouldn't claim that Ele is not one of the weaker classes in the game. From my experience playing and observing the current meta, Ele is not in a particularly strong position. While it may have some powerful abilities, it also has a number of weaknesses that can make it difficult to play effectively in certain situations. For starters, Ele is a very squishy class that lacks the durability of other classes. This can make it frustrating to survive in high-pressure situations, especially in PvP. Moreover, Ele's abilities can be quite taxing to use, which can make it hard to sustain the high levels of gameplay needed to be effective in combat. Additionally, while Ele does have some powerful offensive and supportive abilities, it lacks the flexibility of some other classes. This can be infuriating when trying to adapt to changing battlefield conditions and respond to unexpected situations. Ele is not a terrible class but it's not one of the stronger ones in the game right now. It's mainly effective in the hands of experienced players.
  18. I'm so frustrated with all this talk about nerfing the Tempest class in Guild Wars 2 PvP. Players keep claiming that it's overpowered and needs to be toned down, but I couldn't disagree more. The Tempest brings unique benefits to the table that make it an essential component of any team composition. Let's start with the Tempest's support abilities. They're crucial for team survival. With its healing and defensive capabilities, the Tempest can keep allies alive and mitigate damage, which is especially important in PvP when players are constantly under attack. Nerfing the Tempest would only make it harder for teams to survive and succeed in battles. The Tempest also has a range of offensive capabilities that can deal damage and control the battlefield. Its area-of-effect attacks and crowd control abilities are invaluable in team fights, and can turn the tide of battle in favor of the Tempest's team. Nerfing these abilities would only make the Tempest less effective, and that's not something we should be aiming for. To top it off, the Tempest is not an easy class to play effectively. It requires a high level of skill and coordination to use its abilities to their fullest potential. Skilled players should be rewarded for their efforts, not punished. Nerfing the Tempest would only make it less rewarding for skilled players and discourage them from playing this class in the future. I'm frustrated that people don't seem to recognize the unique benefits that the Tempest brings to the table. The game is not balanced as it is, but the Tempest is not the problem. It's a valuable component of any successful PvP team, and I stand by that. It's time to stop the calls for nerfs and appreciate the strengths that the Tempest offers.
  19. I am more concerned over the player base cause I can't really believe that Aion would have the population of gw2 but it's still doing the same now financially but the next quarter will show us the impact of xpac release.
  20. It's in the picture above if you click the link. Yeah in 2021 bns didn't do well.
