story was ok, but had a weak uninspired ending with the laziest writing I have seen since IBS. The zone is good, with plenty to do. already have 3 weights of legendary armor so open world set isn't an issue. all in all, not a terrible living world... oops i mean expansion update, with story and massive amounts of (obviously QC department have no staff) bugs that shouldn't exist in a live server dragging it down.

Urban battle ground fractal - i think it's difficulty 4... turn right as soon as you go outside the spawn and kill the veterans there, just hold down autoattack 1 and it will get the kills, did mine today, took a little while but got it done

To call this a "major" update is dishonest at minimum... The only part of this update that is OK (for now) are the convergences... apart from that everything is over too fast, the masteries are useless, and the new map is washed out and looks dull compared to the rest of Tyria. I was hopeful this new direction ANet was taking with yearly updates would be worth it, but so far I'm only encouraged to put my money into other games

Nope. Well maybe in a non-populated area on lower settings. My specs are: Ryzen 7-7800x3d, 32GB DDR5 6000, RX 7900XTX, 2TB PCIE 5 x4 SSD, on an LG 4K 144Hz monitor, and its generally very smooth in the 100-1400 frames range but there are still areas where the frames drop to 60-75, and that's on hardware infinitely better then the pre-built you listed. Even though you say you dont want to wait, in some cases waiting a few days more is worth it

I think it is something else wrong with your PC, because im on Ryzen 7 7800x3d and RX7900xtx on 4k 144Hz monitor, and never had any issues keeping smooth frames, even in SotO

7800x3d and 7900xtx here, playing at 4k and havent had a single stutter, even in the horrible boon ball junk of wvw. Have you tried playing with image sharpening, anti-lag, and enhanced sync off? You could even use lower quality scaling instead of native.

Title pretty much says it all, apart from, why does ArenaNet love Maguuma so much? Last night we were getting stomped by Magumma and lo and behold there is an ANet tag amongst them all. I know the devs also play the game etc etc, but what message do you think this is sending to the other 2 teams? It is about time the devs started playing on the losing team so they know how unbalanced and broken the whole cloud/boon ball system is when you are on the receiving end.

Who cares if he goes. If he is off to another game then his commitment/love of this game isn't as strong as his videos make out to be If ArenaNet were still lining his pockets with exclusive stuff he wouldnt be jumping ship

As the OP stated at the top of this page - crafting funded half his/her legendaries. Seems to be upset He/she will actually have to go out and earn them the slow way like the rest of us. He/she also made a comment on a previous page about people being jealous of all his/her shiny stuff. It's pretty obvious that the OP has a problem with other players having easier access to new shiny stuff. OP might have some kind of a superiority complex and is feeling a bit upset that he/she won't be unique or special anymore. Your billion gold business took a hit in its quarterly profit. Get over it and find another way to extort gold from new players that don't suffer from your level of self entitlement.

Just finished the story today. Got to say I was pleasantly surprised with it. Was so much better then EoD and the Gyala Delves junk. Sadly though, they turned Zojja into a female Braham. She used to be my favorite no nonsense character, now she is a bad daytime soap opera extra.

I think you will find its called "Player Retention". ANet needs to keep players playing, and if one of the methods they choose to do so is by giving new players easier access to ascended gear then I'm all for it. Having people who are able to run higher level fractals etc is good for the longevity of the game. Personally, I have met plenty of people (several who are on the friends list now) who are able to pick up the mechanics of the fractals, but are let down by the gear they have. I regularly run lower tier fractals with "new" people and donate my infusions etc to them so they can get a small but hopefully effective head start. I worked hard for my legendary weapons, armor and runes, but Im not going to throw any toys out of the cot because someone else can have a chance to enjoy the journey to their personal end goal like just like I have. Likewise, no tantrums here because a player can get easier access to a lower tier of gear then mine.

Well if ANet are going to give legendary rune holders a big discount towards the new relic why should they not give the same big discount to legendary armour holders towards the new set? Sounds fair to me
