  1. And they actually nerfed condi tempest already because of that 🤣
  2. The PvE meta dps benchmarkers are using it with condi tempest and condi weaver now. It's of course better then the scepter variants in terms of dps, but I'll still never gonna actively use that unspeakable disapointment of skill design as an 11 years ele main.
  3. Yes, I use that build http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PGQAYlZwkYasLmJOqOmvKA-DSJYmRB/ZEnEoDFgCPGwCvnVAA-e and it does fine in endgame PvE unless the boss isn't moving extremely much. Falls a handful of k dps behind the scepter varient, but still decent.
  4. Haha, this is true xD. I'm always excited when i see other ele players in the squad (unless it's one with pistol...)
  5. Toughness on a passive is not okay. NOT OKAY Bad enough that the earth signet with the earth trait "written in stone" still gives it's 180 toughness and Anet couldn't be bothered to fix it after over a year or longer already.
  6. This would be an amazing step for healtempest too, so we can get a step closer to auramancers again ❤️
  7. At this point i believe they don't have any developers anymore that care about skill visuals. They just take existing effects, maybe combine it with a another existing effect and let the character do a reused animation so that it at least looks different. Not good, just different is all they aim for.
  8. Because anet is great at having ideas to change something, but forget another part completely. I know it's just visual, but they had updated the combo-field effects on the edges for circular combo fields yeeeeeaaars ago and said the rectangular combo fields will be changed shortly after? That never happened and it really bothers me that you can overlook that for so long.
  9. Also true, those straigt up damage buffs are always some kind of... cheap approach to balancing. It would me much more interesting to make the overloads actually strong while you channel them, but like it is now, you only want to finish them as fast as possible to get that buff. Wich makes it even worse when you have no stab and get interrupted.
  10. Catalyst released 2 years ago, a UI rework should have happened after the beta. But now after so much time there's 0 chance anet does something. But maybe they remove some UI effects, like the miragemantle around the skillbar that suddenly disappeared.
  11. No, that's not even close to what i was trying to say. They released the pistol and with the pistol a tempest build emerged with a ridiculous high dps rate you can only achieve when you use the pistol. It's not that high if you use a scepter or a dagger, it is a dps build with the pistol. A sane person might get the conclusion that it maaaaay be the pistol that actually needs some tuning, to make it balanced with the other 900 ranged condi weapon. Instead of nerfing the whole condi tempest. But i guess.... what's less effort for the balance team to do? Adjust 1 trait or go through a couple of weapon abilities and fumble around with coefficients.
  12. Yeah unfortunately it does make sense. Except that pistol is not new and shiny, it's some patched together decade old scrap material repainted with a glossy finish.
  13. Yes! Yes! And yes! xD That's what i'm saying all the time. The condi variant was slapped over it at the last minute and somehow got buffed to be the best choice. But all the virt utility skills scream power.
  14. This is the sad truth. The abilities, the skill designs... they were just great. Water trident, Dragontooth, Pheonix, healing rain, Meteorshower, the lightning whip, fire breath and ice breath. All cool ideas.
  15. You're confusing tempestuous aria with transcendend tempest.
  16. And yet again, as if Anet is incapable of learning.... nerfing traits for whole specs, when it's ACTUALLY just a new weapon overperforming is beyond my understanding.
  17. I still refuse to play the CondiVirt. I was one of the lonely powerVirt enjoyers and with the new changes, it has a great flow in combat now.
  18. I haven't tested that, but I'm really, really sure that the one that gets the Aura also gets the Heal.
  19. That leap where my Ele now smacks the ground with her hands... oh what is this... am I a warrior dazing enemies with a groundslam now? Another crappy skill design in the fashion of ele pistol.
  20. Ele couldn't even use warhorn before elite specs existed. It was introduced when HoT released and was ONLY usable as Tempest for all those years, until SotO came out and you could unlock elite spec weapons for the whole class. And that was the moment everyone realized that warhorn is the best in slot offhand weapon for every role in instanced PvE, be it condi, power or healsupport. It even recieved a nerf shortly after the release of SotO, but still is the strongest. Edit: And condi weaver was using focus on offhand before, because of the fireaura detonate.
  21. Arcane would also make sense. In the grandmaster line replacing "evasive arcana" maybe, or add it to it.
  22. I know that, I've been there. Another reason that some traitlines of Ele are in dire need of a rework to make it viable to the current game we're playing.
  23. Seeing what they did with a hammer wielding Elementalist, i thought they couldn't get more unimaginative and boring. But the pistol is even worse skill wise and the kitten mechanic slapped over is is the overkill.
  24. Warhorn is the best offhand weapon for ele in any possible build in PvE right now. Is it heal or dps. Theres no need in buffing that further.
