  1. Feels like i need even more concentration, while Chrono still needs 0 while easily capping alac or quick now. Edit: Found out i just have to play it different now, 2 squeres in a row, then charge up energy and then again 2 squeres in a row and the quick output will be very good actually.
  2. I don't know... i have 45% boon duration on my Fire/Air/Catalyst and the quickness seems always on the edge because of that awful 5s downtime until energy starts generating again. Tried playing it like my dps rotation before with fire, air and water squere, earth without squere and the next squere in fire again.
  3. Yeah it's super awful... that unnesserary energy mechanic on top of the cooldowns of the spheres and the 2 seconds base quickness duration is so, so bad. I hope the remove that energy nonsense once and for all.
  4. It is already in PvE. But somehow a complete different thing in PvP and WvW.
  5. Harbinger is also ranged. Take the quickness variant and you get 100% uptime easy.
  6. Oh! I've never thought about a transmutation skill for Chaos Aura! This should have been in the game for a long time already, i'd love that.
  7. Hm... did you forget that Chaos Aura and Bountiful Disillusionment grant the boons only to yourself? It does nothing for the other 4 people in your group or subgroup. And the most important part of Healer is to provide at least 25 Might, Fury, Regen, Protection and one of the key boons (Alac or Quick) to 5 people. That build would result in a 100% alac uptime, low group healing and some other boons sometimes for a low uptime.
  8. This was very very true back in february where that guy you were answering to wrote that comment. Reaper got buffed greatly since then and it's dps finally came out of the shadows in 10man pve content. In February it was still one of the weakest full dps builds.
  9. This is somewhat true. But actually they nearly stopped adding skins for underwater weapons a long time ago. Black lion skin sets for example don't get any variations for trident, spear and harpoongun anymore.

I too like hybrid weaver since the focus in mainhand can bring out quite a good CC capability, and projectile destruction, while the offhand dagger air with powerweaver managed to kill me a couple of times in some raids. I'd say hybrid has a more complex rotation and a bit less dps than the powerweaver, but it feels more like Weaver is supposed to be played. I should definately play it more often, most of the time i find myself either go full power with Catalyst or full condi with Scepter or Staff Weaver.
  11. Snowcrows is always running builds on the minimal boon duration possible and the highest dps possible. This requires a perfect rotation and will only work so well on boss encounters with the same circumstances the training golem has. An immobile boss without mechanics to do, without phasing, without times of invulnerability, without adds to kill and basically just the squad standing there and hitting on it. Is it possible? Yes, but only usable on a very few encounters with that exact build. The average player will never be able to achieve that alac output on all bosses and therefor alacmirage will continue to be a rarely played spec, even lower now. And also, that build used the Riddle of Sands trait. As an alacdps, you'll most likely be paired with a hfb, because healquickherald isn't too popular right now either, and a hfb means very bad regeneration output. But you need regeneration since it gives an extra 10% condition damage and 250 expertise and 250 concentration. For that reason you most of times end up not taking Riddle of Sands (the dps trait) and taking Renewing Oasis for self regeneration instead.

  13. I mean... 2.5 seconds of alac was the same amount we had for a long time before they divided the alac output on the player and the clones. You didn't need 100% boon duration for the alac back then. But the good thing was you could keep up the alac without a target or clones by just spamming the ambush attack, wich isn't possible anymore. The 4s of base alac output before the recent nerf was arguably a bit high. You could go for full vipers and maintain 100% alac uptime quite easily, but on the other hand you also had to stack it up high for boss phasing or mechanics and so on. And an alacdps that can only give it's boon during combat phases is quite bad, since you want alac all the time so you're cd's are ready for burn phases. Then again... barely anyone played alacmirage and Anet had to jump to a "problem" that only really existed in the imaginary room of potential. It's the same nerf and buff cycle the catalyst is in right now, because they seem unable to find the sweet spot.

  15. I really think that there could have been amazing mid range abilities for the hammer that actually look and feel powerful and impactful. But unfortunately Anet went for the most boring skills with the opportunity to reuse as many skill effects to make it as little work as possible. Or someone was in charge of creating the espec that has 0 interest or imagination for Elementalist.
  16. 100% Yes. I'd love to see the overload water bubble being fixed, since Dx11 it's barely visable and they have to change the god kitten shatterstone (scepter water 2) soundeffects. They go on for over 3 seconds while the visual effects are done in 1s. That overload air with the cloud above looks especially good.
  17. A special animation for hammer ele? Are you insane? Only the most boring skill effects reuse is allowed there!
  18. You're playing with WvW balance there, that's completely different to open world Pve balance.
  19. It is a bug fix, no actual change. With quickness there was a bug where overload water and earth did miss 1 tick of their effects while channeling. This resultet in too low alac output and a healtempest with nearly 100% boon duration was struggling to keep the alac up.
  20. I feel a bit confused to be honest. You're asking other people to state their opinion on vindicator and mirage dodges, and of course there are players that have a different opinion then yours. Then you come at them saying they're ignorant and "sugar coating a problem" and claims that the majority of people doesn't like them either? I personally don't feel like that and like how the dodges work for those specs. Vindicator did have his bad time when it had only 1 dodge though, but that has been patched a long time ago.
  21. No, I'm sure it's still the 3s, but the overloads actually tick faster and do their alac properly. Hopefully.
  22. We are losing nothing, Weaver is completely normal and nothing has changed. The OP just suggest to boil the Weaver down to funktion like the other ambush skill classes and specs like thief, mirage and untamed.
  23. And that's why those 3 specs have a lot more dodges on their hand, got self vigor or even stronger vigor on the traits and other skills to evade or block.
  24. You don't like weapon abilities that hit for 1 damage? Weird. I always thought it's a totally reasonable and valid design choice.
