If you believe hard enough, you can kill it. But it usually takes about 5 minutes of believing before it works.

I don't think they've fully described it, but I'm pretty sure its determined over a period of many weeks, maybe even as long as a full link time frame (2 months). Gandara had to tank quite awhile before they opened up. FSP is also unlinked, which does a lot to kill morale.

As best I can tell the beta week servers are just renames of the current servers and players are shuffled around. If you look at the score sites that still work during the betas, you can see where the servers get sorted and at one point in game it would say things like "Desolation has captured Rogues Quarry" even though it was Moogaloo or something. Im guessing that means that the beta matches probably also affect glicko scores, which is why Deso was in T3 and is now in T1. But who knows, since theyre constantly working on it they could be updating that at any given moment for all we know.

I imagine a lot of it was because they created some stupid bug at some point and it was just easier to disable than fix.

TBH, the less cohesive matches are, the quicker it devolves into mindless ppt. If you don't have people who play together and have natural organizational patterns they fall into, it ends up just being one person tagging up for an objective, going until they meet resistance and wipe, and dispersing.

You know what, it could be interesting to see stab skills converted to group stunbreaks. Make groups respond to cc instead of trying to keep up it up at all times. That might be interesting to see, though would probably need some better identifying of party members in a large squad.

Endgame wvw is to have multiple alt accounts so that at any given time you can be on a server bandwagoning without transferring with gems.

I agree. Omegas should be repurposed to bomb the circle from the top level of garrison.

Gandara and Abaddon together most likely just results in a boring night for both servers unless they can get Deso or BB in a matchup. Now 3 of those 4 servers on opposing teams in a matchup was probably one of the most unique nights I can remember and its only happened once in the last few years.
