  1. I agree, I'd love to have more jumping puzzles in EoD. I've always enjoyed doing jumping puzzles (with Not So Secret being the only exception), more of them are always welcome.
  2. This is something I'm also not a fan of. What I usually do is leveling until 65-70 without starting the personal story, then once I'm at that level gap I start the personal story. Personal story is a pretty decent source of exp which is enough to carry you from level 65-70 gap (depending on if you're exp buffs and such) to max level, and doing it this way means you are also doing the personal story without any interruption.
  3. Hell no, keep that nonsense out of GW2. Both sPvP and WvW offer different flavours of PvP, anyone who is interested in PvP can do those. Adding Open World PvP will immediately ruin open world by plauging it with players who can't do well in proper PvP game modes trying to stroke their bruised ego by ganking and griefing other players.
  4. I'm not really interested in any weapon other than a greatsword for the next elite spec. I would love to have a revenant elite spec that uses greatsword as it's main weapon and focuses on melee power dps. Balthazar or Asgeir would work perfectly as a legend for that elite spec, but I wouldn't mind if Anet came up with a tengu hero we haven't heard of before either.
  5. Things I want to see: A revenant elite spec that uses greatsword as a melee weapon and excels at power dps. They can use Balthazar, Asgeir or even a tengu hero we haven't heard of before as the legend for that elite spec. Fishing added to the game as the fourth gathering option, like harvesting, logging and mining. Player housing added to the game. Things I don't want to see: Raids. I have no interest in them.
  6. Extending the public version would've still been a bandaid solution, whether they'd extend it for another week or even another month. They shouldn't extend the public version, they should keep it as a permanent option along with private version, just like Dragonstorm.
  7. Those achievements were a bit inconsistent. I did Muter, Short-Circuiter, Dodger and Lightfoot by staying out of their AoE at all times and it counted for all of them. However, it doesn't work for Sidestepper as I didn't get the achievement for 3 times even though I did the same thing by staying out of AoE at all times and breaking the chain. Finally, I decided to stay in AoE and dodge one attack, then stood out of the AoE for the rest of the phase and I got the achievement as soon as we broke the chain for my lane.
  8. It's the only guaranteed source of watchwork sprockets besides the home instance node, so there is already a reason to do it every day. Besides, they can always add an infusion to loot table to keep more people interested in it. I don't think it needs to be nerfed. Encounter mechanics are extremely simple and consist of nothing more than basic gameplay knowledge such as not standing in red zones and using CC on enemies with a blue bar under their health bar. The only platform boss that might not be as obvious as the rest is lane 2 platform boss since it needs to be kited to mines to become vulnerable, but even that mechanic isn't exactly hard to figure out. The only change I would suggest is decreasing the duration of portal debuff, so in case it doesn't teleport any players to a platform, players from other lanes could go in and the event wouldn't fail due to a bug. With all of that being said, I think the public version should definitely become a permanent option. I've done the private version 4 times and all of them have failed, with a few people flaming others and leaving the instance. On the other hand, out of the 18 public runs I've done I've lost only 2 of them, with one of those losses being on the first one available on EU, so I didn't mind it too much since there were probably plenty of people who haven't been around when the original event was going on so they weren't familiar with the encounter itself. Besides, it's been only a few days since the event was out and even then public runs are going pretty well. If public version would become permanent, more people would have the chance of getting familiar with the encounter and it would increase the success rate of the public version even more.
  9. I'm having the same issue. When I did patrols for amber and cobalt, both of them counted towards the achievement just fine, but the patrol for crimson doesn't seem to work. I did the patrol for crimson 4 times, without leaving the red circle around the NPC and hitting everything that spawns as part of that patrol, yet it still didn't count for me.
  10. That sounds good, here is hoping that they'll make the public event permanent too now.
  11. Good initiative with the poll, OP! I think they should keep both public and private versions, just like Dragonstorm. They should just make it so it wouldn't be up at the same time with Dragonstorm, making them alternate with each other every hour would be the best way to go about it.
  12. Public version should absolutely become a permanent option, it would be a huge missed opportunity to make the public version accessible only for a limited time. Removing the public version will make it inaccessible to the vast majority of the playerbase especially once the event is no longer "new", as the idea of trying to get into groups that ask for PhD in Rocket Surgery is far from a pleasant one. Having both private and public versions works for Dragonstorm, it would work for Twisted Marionette too. There is no reason not to make the public version a permanent option.
