  1. Personally I doubt that Amazon will run out of codes during a 6 week long sale. Especially since NCsoft seems to cozy up to them really hard at the moment. That's probably the main reason why they don't offer the sale in their own shop. What's more likely to happen is that all those small shady key resellers will make a fortune. However discounted gem cards could be quite a different story. At least the small resellers seem to struggle here in Europe already, while Amazon happily sells them.
  2. These are only the resellers participating in the current sale event. You will always find a more complete list here: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/retailers/ To avoid any automated bans activate two-factor authentication for all of your accounts. I have one main and 8 alt accounts at the moment linked to the same phone number and never had any problems. If the current TP prices and the gold-to-gem exchange rate remain somewhat stable during the EoD launch, you will get more gold from a discounted PoF account after ~4 months or ~7.5 months for a regular priced PoF account than from buying gems for money at the regular price. However that assumes that you at least login every day, know what to do with the login rewards and Anet not interfering with the economy too much.
  3. Many folks in smaller European countries won't be too happy either since amazon only sells download codes to people in their respective country, e.g. amazon.it only sells to Italians or amazon.co.uk to Brits. The smaller retailers don't cover that many small countries either. There is also still the possibility that these codes sell out within minutes or and up limited to one per customer. 🧐
  4. This only applies to accounts that bought the expansions separately. If you buy either of the HoT+PoF or the HoT+PoF+EoD bundles, you only get one shared inventory slot per bundle. At the moment there is also no way to purchase the 24th or 25th slot, if one missed out on them.
  5. Thanks for correcting the start date to 26th in the blog post. 😇 The other typos are still there though. 😎 Those swiss guys must be a friendly bunch, they never seem to complain that Anet misspells their company name for years.
  6. No, according to the blog post the discount for the HoT & PoF bundle should have started ~2 hours ago. To be honest this is complete amateur hour. Especially since Anet's PR people already accidently posted the sales banners a couple of days ago and didn't notice it for an hour or so. Why would one trust a company with one's money, if they can't properly announce a sale, add the correct link or even spell the name of one of their retailers correctly? edit: The date for the expansion sale in the blog-post has been changed the the 26th now. The other errors haven't been corrected yet.
  7. As others already mentioned a lot depends on the way you play the game and how far your account is progressed. If you don't have them already and if they are actually available in Belgium, consider buying some of the account upgrade bundles first: - End of Dragons Preparation Pack - Account Jump Start Since both include Black Lion Keys, they might not be available to you though. A few Bank Tab Expansions and at least one Storage Expander are usually a good idea if you start crafting ascended gear and already collect items for later legendary crafting. Keep in mind that items in bank tabs can be used directly at normal crafting stations unlike items that are stored on alts. In theory you could avoid buying additional shared inventory slots, if you get a Permanant Bank Access Contract. Sadly that would set you back some 27k gems at the time of writing. 😂
  8. Maybe you should clarify when the point of time "now" will be happening. Right now at the time of writing this forum post (19:00 CET) neither of the Europen Amazon sites nor the other retailer for my country actually offers the discount. GameLiebe.com so far only offers a measily 2 € discount. Ironically enough you also misspelled their website's name again. The website's name is "Gameliebe.com", which is supposed to mean 'game love' when you literally translate the german word, meaning the love for videogames. "GameLeibe" literally translates to 'game body' with body refering to the theological or philosophical meaning of that word, as in 'the body of Christ' or something similar.
  9. I got it for one of my secondary accounts. Interestingly the mail addressed me with the character name of my first character on that account. Seems to be a very talented phisherman if it wasn't from Anet. 🙊
  10. It depends on your monitor and its support for adaptive sync assuming your GPU isn't to old. Without adaptive sync it's usually best to enable vsync via the GW2 settings menu and run the game uncapped otherwise. That should get rid of the tearing. Just make sure you don't override these settings in the nVidia driver. If that somehow doesn't work for your hardware, you can always try to override the settings via the driver, but it's usually better to do it in-game for most game engines. If your monitor supports adaptive sync (e.g. 48 - 60Hz) it can be a bit tricky with nVidia cards. You might have to enable a setting in your monitor's OSD first. Since I never tried that combo in GW2 myself, I assume that it's usually best to disable vsync in the game settings and run uncapped, but force the framerate via the nVidia drivers. There should be an additional driver setting that let's you choose your desired framerate. If it doesn't work for your hardware without artifacts, you can always fall back to the static 60Hz method mentioned above.
  11. I completely agree with you. I've been fiddling around with payment methods for a week now since I decided to give GW2 another try after a 2+ years break. In the end I just bought some 25€ amazon gift cards which are pretty much sold everywhere in my country and redeemed them online. Buying this way took something like 5 minutes for my gems. Considering the amount of third parties involved in that process, ArenaNet pretty much loses out on quite a big chunk of money which in return could be used to give buyers volume discounts like any other modern game with microtransactions has nowadays.
  12. Yes, depending on what data was possibly leaked (credit card, email address, SSN, etc.). It could just be that ArenaNet or their payment provider uses 3rd party databases that check against such leaked data, flags accounts that are related to such data, and blocks them automatically. You have 2FA enabled for your accounts?
  13. It could be that there was a data breach/leak somewhere else and some of your data shows up on the internet at the moment. Maybe you should check sites like https://haveibeenpwned.com/
  14. It's been ~40h for me. Personally I suspect that the duration depends on the used payment method. Since I used my bank's VISA which is technically a debit card, I got my gems pretty much the moment my bank debited the amount from my account.
  15. After upgrading my old GW2 Heroic Edition to EoD Ultimate without upgrading to HoT/PoF first, the character creation dialog shows the Revenant class as available. I was able go through the creation process, but couldn't finish it. Unless it's an unannounced feature of EoD to unlock Revenant, it should still be locked. Fyi, creating a Revenant worked fine after adding a HoT/RoF license later.
  16. Considering that buying stuff through their webstore works perfectly fine for me, while the in-game store doesn't finish the transaction with the same VISA card, it's quite baffling that they don't just offer gems in the webstore. Especially since both options are seemingly run by Digital River Ireland for me. It's even more annoying that the good old (physical) gem cards aren't available in retail stores at the moment. So I'm pretty much stuck with Amazon and two tiny official game code resellers for my country that look so shady at first glance that I wouldn't buy stuff there even if my life depended on it. It feels a bit silly how many hoops I have to jump through to give them my money. In contrast if I wanted to buy a iTunes, XBox, Google Play or Steam gift card during business hours, it takes me less than 5 minutes to walk to the next shop that sells them and I'm done. Somehow it feels like Anet/NCsoft have pretty much given up on selling their game in Europe. Not having volume discounts on gems, the 25% price hike in the Eurozone a couple of years ago, and the cancelation of the Steam option, makes me actually think twice about spending money on this game. I'm almost regretting to get back into the game after a two years hiatus.
  17. Considering that the original Guild Wars game is still around, it's highly unlikely that Anet/NCsoft decide to pull the plug anytime soon. That said, it could mean pretty much anything from an end of narrative content development, a change of monetization strategy (more expensive & smaller DLCs), or just a different narrative direction for possible expansions after EoD.
  18. You could try to redeem the code via the management section for your account on the website instead of the in-game store. It seems that certain codes only work there.
