  1. Especially in Seitung Harbor, I see lots ghost villagers there. Just going around doing the usual "villager" stuff. Is there any lore reason for that ? We have our rampant ghosts in Ascalon because of the Searing, but what about this part of Tyria ?
  2. Hey there, Indeed, Diviner's is a good starting set, as alacrity renegade is an important part of every team comp 🙂 You can get the recipes with Diviners stats in Thunderhead Peaks : Recipe: Steelstar's Insignia - Guild Wars 2 Wiki (GW2W) You can find pretty much find all the info on GW2 Wiki 🙂
  3. To be honest, I think ANY weapon would be better than hammer. I know Anet wants to "defy" stereotypes and all that jazz, but imho hammer is the pinnacle of "not making any sense" on a class that's supposed to be the weakest ( strenght-wise ). I have a hard time imagining my Ele even lifting a hammer (which is like the most heavy weapon in the game ), let alone swinging it around in 100-blades style --'
  4. Sadly, the class is on the low spectrum in almost every aspect, and Anet seems to be okay with this 😕
  5. I wouldnt mind the F5 summoning a pokemon xD
  6. To be honest, yes, Ele is not the easiest class to play, especially when you're new to it, but is nowhere as bad as people tend to describe it. I don't know what gamemode you're playing the most, but I'll just assume general PvE (open world, maybe some Fractals and Strikes). My first advice to you: if you're struggling with survival and applying your rotation, try running gear with defensive stats on it. A lot of people just automatically go full berserkers/vipers gear when they don't know the class very well and then get disappointed that they die too fast. I recommend trying this tempest build with trailblazers gear: Tempest - Condi Tempest - MetaBattle Guild Wars 2 Builds (I'd personally recommend taking blinding ashes in Fire traitline for even more survivability) I'm using this in openworld when I want some easy and relaxed gameplay. If running trailblazers gear with this one, you can just facetank groups of mobs and watch them die to your burning and bleeding. You'll see , tempest's overloads are very strong and imho super cool to use, especially the Earth one: just slide on your own mini mountain and watch them burn hehe. Plus this build is very easy to play. You can just alternate between fire and earth attunements and you'll be more than fine. When you get used to it, try some new builds, and don't get discouraged if it doesnt work well from the beginning, with some practice, you'll be fine. Personally, I remember when I tried weaver at first, I thought it was horrible, but after a while even the Condi Weaver rotation just flows like water, when you get the grasp of it. TLDR: dont get discouraged, Ele might seem hard to play and weak in the beginning, but once you get used to it, you'll be surprised of what it can achieve 🙂
  7. I mean, the same guy made a joke about ele's being a meme downstate class. And yet, we get an espec thats half melee half weird mid range with almost 0 survival... That was like a blatant slap in the face of the whole Ele community 😕
  8. Oooh I remember Li-Ming and her mega-boom arcane orb that hits harder the farther it travels. Would totally love it on my Elementalist :)) Reading your post almost made me forget about the Catalyst for a second ! Back to reality though, Anet clearly wants us to continue being a "steady presence in melee combat" UwU
  9. I share the general feeling. When the weapons got leaked, I was hoping it was not true. When hammer was confirmed, my dreams about an elemental longbow archer were gone, but i told myself "Ok, well at least with a hammer we'll be able to go all Thor-mode and create some crazy thunderstorms/earthquakes/tsunamis/volcanoes", that idea faded away as soon as we actually saw hammer skills... The whole spec, sadly, feels like it was designed by an intern on a Friday evening before right before going to a party: unfinished, without lots of thought put in it and quickly tested on a Golem... I really hate having to say all this, but at the end of the day, I'm the client, and , this time, Anet didn't deliver. I really hope they will read all the feedback, as there's tons of it with lots of possible solutions.
  10. I'm not sure what game type you're talking about, but weaver's performance is fine afaik. If by "lackluster performance" you mean damage, then you're probably doing your rotation wrong, which is quite complex in the beginning. But once you get used to it, it just flows like water and the damage is good. The thing with weaver is that it takes much more effort to perform well compared to some other classes. I advise you to check some builds/guides about how to play it correctly (e.g. Metabattle / Snowcrows ).
  11. Here's my bit of feedback: Jade Sphere: 1) The cooldown feels way too long. I feel like the energy we're generating while the sphere is active should extend its duration. Or make the cooldown shorter. 2) Why is there a recall sphere button ?? I don't see a single possible scenario where we would want to recall our sphere (AND loose all the energy). I think this should be replaced with "Relocate sphere", this would also help in situations where you're forced to move etc. Hammer: 1) Hammer #3 orbs go away waaay too fast. To be honest, they should have no duration at all, let them float until we use the skill again, it's not as if they're super OP anyways, but it does feel and look cool to have them, so please let us enjoy it by making them last. 2) For an e-spec that relies so much on combos, we could use more combo possibilities on hammer... E.g : water 5 and air 2 should be a whirl, air 4 should be a leap imho, earth 2 should be a whirl (its litterally called "Whirling stones" lol) 3) Earth auto feels extremely weird to me (maybe just a personal thing) and lazy. Since it's melee range, it could at least be a chain with some bleeds/cripples maybe... Utilities/heal/elite: 1) In general: these look very... uninteresting to play with, and, while being the only skills that can actually interact with our Jade sphere, the said interaction is very minimal and mostly not very useful. 2) Elite: So... for a 90sec cooldown we get 8 seconds off of our weapon skills... I'm not sure, maybe it does have some hidden potential that I fail to see, but for me, this elite skill is kinda useless. As a small conclusion: for me , this spec has a good potential to be fun to play, but not at it's current state. Hopefully the devs will listen. 🙂
  12. Hello, Is the guild still active ? I've tried searching for livid_t0ad#8695 in game but such player does not exist, and on Discord you can only send messages to people who're in your friends list it seems. Anyways, if someone from the guild sees this, could you drop me a message in game please ? 🙂
