  1. Dude, i responded to same person as you quoted, mentioning exacly about that. I feel like most people don't even read, so not gonna even bother respond to most. As for those "i don't like it too, but ain't bitchin, i take it like a man, endure it" - cool, you stayed quiet and look how your gamemode looks / performs. With that attitiude for sure you gonna change something. Now i see it's pointless to even try. Good luck, have fun 🙃
  2. So you're saying that 99% of work (done in PvE), well isn't work? just because i don't want do 1% bit in WvW? okaaayy....Working doesn't mean someone has to suffer. WvW folks can tell you more about it. They have nothing. it really is... where i said i wanted it for free? Its funny how people just create stuff out of nothing. Putting words in someones mouth. Thats just your opinion. It doesnt mean its right 🙂 I never said that WvW or PvP folks shouldn't have access to it in their gamemodes. That is exacly same issue but from different side. We're on the same page here. I think now, while they're working on alliances, its finally good time to address this. Complete rework of rewards so WvW and PvP folks could get hands on legendary stuff, therefore all sides can be happy.
  3. Anet just added new way to obtain turtle. To be clear i'm not against that, it's a good thing. Now, we all saw how heated forum was (is?) about DE meta and getting turtle, this forced anet to do something about it. What about good old Gift of Battle (GoB for short) ? Someone can ask, what this has to do with EoD in general? Well, new set of legendaries require this item which is obtainable ONLY in WvW. Am i the only one who thinks we should have another way to obtain this ? (specifically in PvE) Even for provisioner tokens? exacly like gift of Craftsmanship used for legendary armor/runes/sigils. There is already some fuss about "being forced to do strike" so you can progress turtle achivment. Imagine, suprise of all those people who wanted to craft some legendaries, there're getting excited, most stuff is done in PvE, all good, many things are on trading post so they can skip some things if they want it and BOOM, suddenly they have to engage in gamemode drastically different and to be fair not really casual friendly, even less than "end game pve content". Its mix of pve/pvp after all. There is a reason why huge, huuuuge chunk of playerbase don't play WvW or PvP. It's really out of place where you do 99% of stuff for legendary in PvE and that last one is in different gamemode. Now, for many people this experience gonna be very inpleasant. Not only builds work different, so mostly they're gonna be anihhilated but sometimes they won't be able to do anything because of queues. I don't how alliances will change queue thing, but either way. Some may say "its a way to introduce players to different gamemode/content" ... honestly, there are other (better) ways to do this. This is the only reason i don't do legendaries, i don't like WvW (im not even lvl 60 lol ), its boring, its stupid (for me) and nothing will change that. Nothing. Let me grind GoB in gamemode i enjoy then surely im gonna start collecting. What's your thoughts?
  4. you know, there is one item called gift of battle (GoB), obtainable only in WvW. So, if you just play PvE and want to craft some legendaries, oh boy, swallow up and go waste time on something you don't like for HOURS minimum. This alone is THE ONLY reason i don't do legendaries, i don't like WvW and nothing will change that. Same thing with doing strikes because of turtle. If they really change that, i'm gonna scream so loud to change gift of battle too. BTW new legendaries also requires GoB, so i already know im not gonna get those. Nothing will force me to play there. Funny enough, gift of mastery (correct me if im wrong) is used for legendary armor and you can buy this easly in PVE for tokens. buying tokes also takes time sure, but at least i dont have to do something i despise. I don't get it why we can't do the same for GoB. They can clearly change those things. (new way to obtain turtle).
  5. im pretty sure that even tho ppl like doing open world stuff and beside joining to squad they still play like a solo player and so happens that 50+ ppl are here playing also like that. You've done some things and you just leave squad. And to be fair, mostly you didn't provide as much as you could (afking, autoattacking, tagging just to have participation) but you succed anyway and get rewarded. People are used to it, especially in open world, thats why we have friction. Right now, even if you don't have to step up that much tbh (yup, gonna be yelled that im a hardcore lol) people are raging, because right know we're seeing how many didn't cared up to this point and yet they want to participate in something bigger. If someone doesn't want to learn/improve to make THEIR live easier even if they are handed help, it's on them honestly and don't get me wrong, if : this happens, those commanders are just pricks. Many "bad", "casuals" can easly step up and help and suprise everyone even themself but that dynamic has to go on both side, one has to try to learn and other has to want to help.

  7. i know it was already addressed by anet how they're aware of this and they gonna add it ... march 15 xD i know right XD, 2 weeks to add something small like this. That only shows and confirms that this dlc was really, really rushed and made quickly as possible.
  8. its not like DE meta is the only place people are leeching. Easiest example can be Drakkar. i agree, like in every other meta/event in game. But whenever fight is just long and static/boring, more will lean towards leeching, again drakkar is a great example, its just event times three, not really interesting design and unfortunetly more and more events are designed like that. Looking at DE meta, 3 lanes that are exacly the same. You meet at middle and do again same thing fighting that small dragon. Now suprise, something different, charging crystals and at last end boss. Its very similar desing to dragon stand meta and look how that ended up. I don't see people rallying there over and over like other metas. I can use simple analogy here - whoever watches anime knows how sometimes quality of animation can differ and many times people are dissapointed how some fight scenes go. I prefer having shorter sequence and wait a little longer so i can really enjoy the quality of specific scene instead of getting poor potato just for the sake of getting it faster. Same here in guild wars, i prefer shorter ecnounters that has some meaning into it instead of diluted fight, prolonged in stupid lazy way (do it x times - why not just once? ). I think most would agree, no matter how hard or long meta is, how tired you are, if something really cool and engaging is happening, you gonna be active no matter what and have fun.
  9. They really need to change whole buffs UI, if you have banners, boosters, map bonuses etc etc. you can easly go out of the screen lol. I dunno what UX devs are doin, but whatever they're doing i wanna get hired there too. Easy money.

  11. what chests? you talking in inventory? yea ofc i open them 😄 wdym. Chest after beating boss? don't have to, autoloot is a thing, besides you don't get shards from chest in inventory but from boss directly. Well, you would pick those if you didn't have autoloot. You get the point. really? that's meh... was thinking about farming a bunch so i can buy clovers next week without doing strikes again.
  12. i always laugh at such statemets, as if moving outside of danger (or dodging) or CC or dealing more damage by pressing more than one button is considered as hardcore, raiding level complexity. What were you doing up to this point in game? because all of those you encounter from the start. No one is telling you that you have to do 100% of benchmark, give all boons and do everything perfectly with rotation. Far from that. Most people "considered" hardcore, know that you can do 50% or even more dps by simply smashing all your buttons in whatever rotation (even teapot did video, he just pressed randoms skills and perfomed pretty much the same 🙂 as with "proper" rotation, you know 20k comparing to 24k for example means absolutely nothing, its really good, it just showed that is IMPOSSIBLE to deal 2k dps if you have tree,gear as intented. Also, most people "considered" hardcore, know that you can easly avoid "most" danger stuff by simply moving, you know, WSAD and you have time for that action, im not telling about mechanics that you simply have to know to get good grasp on timing. Those 2 things are the only reason people are still failing DE meta. Everyday you do 2k dps by just autoattacking? no problem! at meta event smash all skills and do 8k dps! its all good. But THAT requires your effort, to actually press those buttons and move away from danger. Look how i didn't even told that you have to change your playstyle or something, just press all buttons. FUN FACT im using power thief build (staff) as my main to roam and do story, you know why? Cuz i can deal 20k+ dps with just autoattacking. Yea, only autoattack, all other skill are signets. You dont press anything, let auto attack roll and be top5 dps everytime on meta events. Its very easy when high dmg is coming literally automatically without my input and i can "focus" on different things or just chill and play by one hand with mouse. Its really more than enough that i have to contribute.
  13. Please tell me, maybe i got it wrong. You get shards everytime when you complete stirke right? I guess its right, i did, until now. Right now i did 3 different strikes ( just to be sure) and i didn't receive any shards. First clears today and i don't farm them over and over. Is it unknown bug or is there a limit how much shards you can get daily/weekly ? I know that chests are once per week, but shards are supposed to be farmable. I don't know anymore. I hate when game can't just clearly show it what is what.

  15. i agree, feel like this dlc was really rushed. arborstone mastery is really pointless, it adds absolutely nothing. Take something that exist everywhere else, merchants, reapiring, trading post etc. etc. and tie this to masteries for you to unlock. It feels like some director said "we need one more mastery" but they run out of ideas and used this just to fill void. Grothmar valley, drizzlewood ,there are many "newer" maps that looks waay more better. I just remembered - Dragonfall, so much stuff is there, burning forest, other side, rich beatifull forest and wasteland for balance and dragon itself !! . EoD maps are really soulless, empty, low quality, no details. Agree with OP that kaineng looks just funny, such big place, yet nothing is there. Ghost town literally. Rest maps aren't that better, we just got bigger paying with better. Story was sooo short. I remember this feeling, i was just waming up and end of story... i was like, wut? its over already? Something even happened? Under in spoiler about cutscenes. Skiff i guess is for people without PoF and fishing is not for me anyway, just a gimmick to use once per year. Jade bot . . . i guess revive, updraft are usefull. But honestly i went throught this expansion without even noticing i have this bot. There is so much potential, new wacky jumping puzzles where updraft can come to play, flying with bot itself could also been utilizied in some puzzles. But again, they should delayed this dlc.
