  1. Yes, I use it on a heal herald. Since rev doesn't has another support main hand weapon, I play sceptre. I think it's better than mace since the might upkeep is about the same and the additional barrier is nice. The auto is fine now except if you don't like the animation. One thing I was too stupid to understand is the 2 skill is that you also get the ally affect, so the barrier, if you target the enemy. But I don't understand the use case of targeting an ally with that and it would be nice if the barrier could be applied instantly to be more reactive instead of waiting a few seconds. I don't use the 3. Skill I don't see the benefit for the unnecessary ally targeting and waiting on a small time frame to hit the skill again mechanic.... I am sad if I am looking at Druid, who is already the best heal support out there, getting a main hand mace, which is a fantastic edition for the class and does so much: boons, healing, heal increase and cc. And they get a second weapon for other things... Meanwhile herald still has only small source of vigor, no revive options, bad stability access without jalis, only 1 aeagis source, could maybe use another source for condition cleanse. And don't get me started on heal renegade who is unplayable because he has bad regeneration access. Additional he has nearly 0 stability access and in my opinion the protection application could be a bit easier, given how energy hungry this spec is. All things this weapon could at least help with even though it could not completely solve them. I am very happy that we now have barrier access but this weapon could have done so much more like other classes weapons...
  2. Hi, I tested the scepter in PVE, in 2 metas and some strikes. Personally I like the design and the base idea. As someone who would love to use Sword/Shield as a support weapon and who loves Rev, this is as close as it gets. But I can see why people might be upset that this weapon isn't ranged. What i find weird is the difference in the skills that the auto attack is for melee range while the other attacks are ranged. The barrier application is fantastic and it helps keeping the group alive. I have read that people think it is too strong but I think since this set doesn't provide condition cleance, no cc and doesn't heal on auto, you will be swapping between Staff and Scepter/Shield a lot and you won't be having this barrier application all the time, making it good how it currently is. Also compared to other classes barrier application it is not OP... The Auto: Seems ok, maybe a little faster and application of Barrier and maybe boons on each hit instead of only on the last hit Blossoming aura: Great Barrier application and in strikes useable as you are all flocked up in a spot and attacking the Boss. However it loses it's barrier apllication if you need to do mechanics or iin other game modes where you can't use the auto attack consistanly. Otherworldly bond/attraction: With how the curret skill is working, it feels pretty useless. The conditions on the enemys are great but feels too strong and don't fit with the support theme. Theatering an ally is not really neccecary and the benefit it is not woth it. Using otherworldly attraction is generally worse than keeping the Bond on the Enemy. Also the cost of the skill is really weird. If you would want to use it in Herald it would need to be either 1 to fit in with Facet of Light and Facet of Chaos or 4 to be uses with Facet of nature while on Ventari instead of protective solance. However 4 is way too much to be used for anything else and would make this skill absolutly useless on Glint and the other elite specs. The last point i want to make is the question: Who is this weapon for? obviously for a support. But which support and when? Since I have not played WvW or PvP at all in recent times, I can only speak for PVE so here are my thoughts: It does not do enough damage or has any benefits to be used as an offensive support weapon. So we are left with a defensive support / healer. Heal Quickness Herald is a good choice and support class and the new Shield update is absolutly great and the healing of shield also allows the use for a good main hand support since you have 2 good heals in this set. But what does Herald lack? Glint doesn't provide any Vigor or Resolution. And since the Vigor application of Ventari doesn't last very long, this weapon would have been a great choice to make up for it. Now it does only apply barrier and is otherwise not really needed for this class Heal Alacrtity Renegade is missing quiet a lot: better protection application, Regeneration apllication in general and better furry application. If this weapon could have provided a regeneration and protection application maybe alac healer renegade could have been a usable class. I personally think these important boons should be provided by a class specific skills and traits but i know other classes also use weapon skills for certain boons. Heal Vindicator is of course missing either Quickness or Alacrity and is unsuable in PVE as long as it is missing those. But let's assume that Vindi will get one of these. Actually this class would benefit most from this currently weapon set as it is lacking fury application. Also the Vigor is barely enough and the might application could be a little but more stable but is ok. Besides Fury it is missing swiftness and resolution. So summerizing this weapon does not cover the needs which the support classes are currently lacking. The 3. Skill needs a big rework. In his youtube video Spudzie suggests that this weapon could change the boon application based on what legend is currently used. I think that is a great idea since every legend is missing certains boons and this way this weaopon would help every support build. Here are my suggestions: Glint: Vigor + Resolution Ventari: Fury + Resolution Kala: Regeneration + Protection Alliance: Fury + Quickness/Alac? Shiro: Might + Vigor Jalis: Protection + Vigor? Malix: regeneration + fury
  3. I think what most people and especially I am complaining about is just the song of arboreum. To be more precise that the duration of the vigor application is too short and the 25% effectiveness is missing. As soon as I use retribution this class feels much better however I am either losing DMG or sustain by not using invocation or salvation. As for the damage: I tried it out and I lost 2k, that's why I said the dps went down. And yes I did 2 golum tests, one with song of arboreum and one with reavers curse. But seeing your dps log it looks like my rotation was just bad. And your mentioned that people should use Scavenger Burst. That is true and I am using that and with a lot of mobs that is also still fine. But if you are facing a single target boss you are still losing dodges since the update. If they added the 25% effectiveness to Tenacious Ruin or maybe SOA and increase the duration of vigor on SOA or reduced the cool down, this would feel much better even with using 1 more button. As for Angsiyan's Trust, I don't know how many people will use it and if it will bring any benefit in PvP or WvW. I personally would have preferred something more useful like: increase the cooldown to 40 seconds. Your next dodge revives 5 ally's 30% revive percentage Number of targets: 5 But I know that that is just personal opinion.
  4. The dmg is 100% increased..... like...wow... yes....your one dodge is little more increased...did you not do any golum tests? your DPS is lower than before.... what good does 1 attack do if your overall damage over time is going down?
  5. Sry but do you seriously play vindi? I also only play PVE and spamming that dodge button and having so many boons is what made this class so fun. Even when using F2 now you dodge way less. so you also have less boon uptime. And if you want to to compensate with retribution you either lose dmg from invocation (also your 100% critical chance drops to 75) or you lose your sustain from salvation. Or more dmg if you were running devastation.
  6. Hello, I just played some regular content with my Vindicator like rifts and Metas and I think the new changes hinder the fun of vindicator, especially as a solo player. First of all: Was there an unwanted change with Scavenger Burst? You no longer have perma Quickness/Fury and instead there is now half a second without the boons. Second: the new Vigor application feels and is bad in my opinion. You now no longer have perma uptime of vigor and vigor lost it's 25% additional effectiveness. So even when using energy meld you have less dodges, which means less.... dodges, so more damage intake; less might upkeep and you can maybe have barely protection upkeep. In Group content having this perma Vigor uptime was also very beneficial to the group and something which made DPS Vindicator unique. It also helped keeping your DPS up when your supports couldn’t manage to provide Vigor. And lastly I personally don't see the benefit of Reaver's Curse. I don't see a DPS increase with Forerunner of Death and it is far easier to apply more might boons when you could have dodged more....
  7. while on Kalla you use it as your 4. skill in rotation: https://snowcrows.com/builds/revenant/renegade/condition-alacrity-renegade
  8. Well tbf in a lot of pug groups vindi use S/S Staff. I am mostly top dps at at least top 3 with that setup. On the golum i even make more dmg excluding GS
  9. Don't forget that we get the shield reworked. Of sceptre will be a support weapon we get a full usable set
  10. I am the opposite. Whenever I try renegade I feel so chained. The damage is so low and the same with sustain. If I want to do good dps I need to follow a strict rotation and keep a good eye on energy management. Hitting the right point on Kala is hard because you need to be exactly under 10% energy to get the 75% energy on malix to get your dps on. Finding enough energy to give alacrity is also hard. On vindi on the other side I don't even know what downstate is anymore. If I go for full dps in strikes I often get top dps in my pug groups. Generally vindi is one of the top dps of the game currently. And on solo open world you have 100% uptime of protection, vigor, quickness, fury, regeneration and 25 might. You also have one of the best condi cleanses of the game
  11. Ok, i read a lot of "not heralds will not get fury" anymore, but i don't think that is true. As a Herald: Yes, just use Facet of Darkness As a Vindicator: just use Scavenger Burst As a Renegade you gain fury through Endless Enmity. And since Heartpiercer now is not really needed for the piercing effect as it is baseline for shwortbow, you can think about using Empowering Roar. Don't forget that Deathstrike and Phantom's Onslaught (even though it is not metioned in the tooltip) also provides Fury. Lastly you also get fury when invoking any legend with Invoker's Rage and you can also use Assassin's Presence
  12. Hi. No, it will only increase the damage of the next dodge. So just 1 dodge. 25% base damage increase and 25% additional 25% if you are using forerunner. Also the cooldown will be 16s seconds for energy meld instead of 20s: https://imgbb.com/Z1s98st
  13. Look at Mightyteapods stream. Either on Youtube or ion Twitch. He streamed the entire stream and on youtube. On YT you can easily scroll to the point you want.
  14. look into the stream, all 3 traits are shown how they will be in the patch. I have screenshotted them here: https://ibb.co/Z1s98st https://ibb.co/TLZCZ3b https://ibb.co/X3QnvWP While i like these changes, I think Song of Arboreum was a great trait and you could give 100% Vigor uptime with higher effectivness to yourself and your allies. Really good trait for both Solo/Open world play as well as for pure DPS Group instance content. Since it was always used, maybe we can replace Balance in Discord with that? however that would also make the new lower trait useless and you already have 100% vigor.... I think at least the vigor effectivness should be kept.
  15. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was hoping so much that the Revenant shield will be improved and either will grant barrier or aegis. And you delivered. Now shield grants aegis and is a really good support weapon and heal herald is now really usuable with a second weapon set. If the upcoming scepter will be a support weapon i will be happy as a rabbit. Barrier and Revive is now the only thing missing on rev however it now already sooo much better. Thank you again
