  1. Bladesworn is fine in open world, I've even solo'd a few champions with it, it's just that it suffers in instanced combat and I don't think it's that great for metas either. It's fun, but I think Spellbreaker is also fun and more useful across multiple types of content. This is just my take based on my own personal experience. Full Counter is just too good imo. I've used it offensively, defensively, and I really miss it when it's not there. It's like a comforting thing to have. Also, SB has so much stability built in especially if you use Hammer.
  2. To shill for your favorite game 😆. There's alot of this on the FF14 subreddit. OP if it makes you feel better, feedback is good for the game, lots of people are making solid points.
  3. I find myself logging in less too, thankfully BG3 is out, Starfield and Armorcore 6 is out or coming out soon. I might go play those games while Arenanet figures out the type of game GW2 is going to be and then I'll revisit it then. I'm confident that Arenanet is going to take this feedback seriously, and it's good to take a break anyways. That's a great thing about games with no subs.
  4. For the love of god and everything holy just remove this feature for griffons.
  5. For the love of god, I've gone through all the keybinds and I can't find it. Is there no way to do this?
  6. A problem that I see with this is that it makes other mounts almost obsolete, very specifically the bunny. The bunny still has advantages but it's slowly being outclassed by the skyscale, a mount that can move in all six degrees while scaling, will be able to shoot fire balls in multiple ways, and then on top of all that we will be able to mount in combat. I don't think the solution is to somehow try to buff the bunny in a way that it outclasses the skyscale I think a better solution is to have the bunny mount synergize between the two. Perhaps create a mastery that allows it to initiate a more poweful version of it's attack if dropped from a certain height from skyscale or griffon, or some kind of ability that will launch the player into flight at a pretty respectable height, something far more useful than Bond of Faith. Clearly this is not a priority issue, but its something I think is worth considering down the line. All the other mounts are great and still usesful, I still use the bunny for it's attack but really that's all I use it for. I think the bunny mount could be more interesting that's all, and having cross mount abilities might be cool while keeping older mounts relevant in ever changing content.
  7. We're not top dps, we have little support, so what is it that we do? Is there ever a time where a group will say, "If we only had a warrior". I'm newish, got almost full ascended but I'm at a crossroads because I don't know where my place is when I'm overshadowed no matter where I go. Do I continue with warrior or move on to one of the other professions that Anet seems to prefer? Help.
  8. I'm a new player from FF14 so maybe my perception as new player is flawed, but clearly to me this skyscale change is completely motivated by profit. They are selling skyscale access for $24.95, because that's far easier than playing the game, literally this collection is a tough one. I think it would look better if they just gave everyone access to it next patch for free regardless if they bought SOTO. If you truly care about new players not feeling left out in metas and in the open world, just make it an open world core collection that everyone has access to when they hit max level. However, there isn't as much profit in giving out a skyscale though, it makes far more sense to sell it for cash money, and if that just happens to help a few players then that's a plus. Also, they created an entire new consumer base, who paid $24.95 for the mount access, but need to pay another $24.95 (unless it's on sale) to unlock PoF masteries, after all is said and done the same people who gave them money so they won't feel left out will now give them more money for skins. There is nothing wrong with Arenanet making a profit, but damnit this the most predatory capitalistic behavior I've seen in an MMO in a long time. I also never played BDO so maybe they have Areananet beat. Say what you will about Blizzard and SE, but at least they have the decency to suck you dry slowly in small increments over the course of years or even decades.
  9. That sounds good. Now I don't feel left out. I was looking at getting the griffon and it looks like i have to play the game to get it but it would work out better for me if they just included it with the skyscale bundle.
  10. If that's the cast then I also want a free griffon. Make it a bundle.
  11. Dang, they really are giving the skyscale out to new players on a silver platter. You'd think they give veterans a skin or a title to at least commemorate a bygone era.
  12. Don't they need it to unlock the bonus perks the old way, or do they get those for free too?
  13. I dunno, if I were a new player and found out I didn't get the raptor I'd probably be a tiny bit upset, but that sadness would be offset by getting a free legendary flying mount, and I'm certain it's going to free with very little hastle because it's needed to play the DLC and no longer a privilege. The gliding thing might be an issue, but I'd imagine that would be given to new players who bought SOTO. I have no idea though.
  14. Well they're selling access to the legendary mount for $24.95, people who buy that will become new customers that they can sell skins to, and then many of those customers will pay $14.95 (it's on sale for 50% right now) for raptor, and open up even more consumers that will buy skins. Is it part of a business model maybe?
