  1. I actually play the game in almost all my free time, across all game modes and social aspects, Including rping on lions arch, talking with people and helping noobies, and that's my vision of the actual state of the game, I did so many rifts, I commanded a 10 HOUR STRAIGHT RIFT HUNTING, I got about 1.5k pvp matches and a couple raids cleared, can do all frac cms and im full legendary armor, recently crafted eternity and I caught up on content, now trying to learn wvw comm.. Now I wait for more of those content I most liked: pvp, raids and leg open world collection. pvp gets no content since 2018, raids are done for some time, maybe forever, which is ''ok'' since they will add strikes that are 10-man content... but then they show me dagda. The new armor! I was so excited about it, I really thought it was something like season of dragons or vision, but no, it was a endless boring grind. While other leg armor ARE "grinds", they are locked behind exciting content, content you must turn ur brain on, there's challenge and lots of fun. What can I say about rifts? I do like the system, but the rifts itself are very bad mindless grind repeating the same thing again and again, wich is against the philosophy of gw2, who even have a system where players start losing drop rate when grinding the same thing.
  2. Your ''take a break from gw2'' makes total sense, since players that see those problems are veterans playing for long time. However that's who they should take feedback off, not the tryhard raiders or casual exploration guy who didn't even got his first berserker set, veterans got all experience of all content in the game, they can read the problems of gw2 since they play it, they spend money, they love the game, that's why they are pointing those problems, otherwise they would have quitted and never looked back. These same ''problem pointing'' we do here on gw2 forums, people on wow forums do, and we both know wow is really a bad game, BUT THEY STILL LOVE THE GAME, they just want the game to be good again, to be something they like. And that's where us, as players should just quit, when players scream into the void, even tho loving the game.
  3. return was the best pve non instanced experience I ever had in this game, and I really thought the new open world armor would be something like it, I was sooooo hyped about it...
  4. exactly, I still have the most fun I ever had in mmos, >with old content< (pvp, wvw, raids, some core leg crafting), but let's be honest, who is this new content for? Im talking about rifts, we open a portal, kill adds oddly spread around, then a boss, get reward, repeat that same process for so so so many times, because essences are bound, and one of the only uses are leg armor(wich PROBABLY is bound too), the casual player will do this a little bit and stop doing it because it's not fun, and the ''hardcore'' ones will do it... in pain, I really do not think people should play the game while watching something else, is the game that bad to the point u need to do any other thing to bear it? This remembers me runescape. That is the first time I do something else while playing gw2, that's not the content the players deserve.
  5. I honestly think gw2 is still on the market because almost every other mmo is pretty much trash on social aspects or it's wow/gear treadmill bs 😕
  6. absolutely agree! BUT those are the philosophy and features of gw2 since core and well, that's why im sticking here, but the future doesn't look promising, remember we're almost at the point of time with big mmo releases, anet need to keep up with it, and thats definitely NOT doing gw3. The next semi casual mmo with a lively world, will kill gw2
  7. With each new expansion, ArenaNet seems to halt support or place yet another feature into maintenance mode. Dungeons, PvP, raids, underwater combat, guild halls, and guilds themselves—none have been spared. Even Living Worlds and POSSIBLY elite specs. fractals and WvW see minimal updates. Remember Silent Surf? What about the long-awaited Alliances, announced half a decade ago? Strikes, Dagda – a disaster, IBS levels of bad. Cerus is decent, the only saving grace amidst the mess that is SoTO, With the exception of its exceptional storytelling. Rifts were announced as the main feature of the expansion, promising thrilling rift hunts, but they devolved into an unbearable grind. All this while, ArenaNet seems engrossed in their new Unreal Engine project, leaving GW2 in a sorry state. Why rework runes? And that FOMO machine called dailies? Sure, some improvements were made, but was it necessary? Many neglected aspects of the game cry out for attention. What exactly is ArenaNet doing? Updating the engine? Still laboring on SoTO? Perhaps preparing for the next expansion? Is this Unreal Engine project even related to GW2? When they say "support core features," does it mean needlessly reworking a system that wasn't broken but merely inconvenient? Although I know a dev might read this, the silence from their end is deafening. Yet, amidst the chaos, ArenaNet is busy crafting new MTX with shiny effects, supported eagerly on forums, alongside almost useless bug fixes. I genuinely want to remain positive about the game's development, but the rampant neglect of crucial issues is driving me away. Despite my initial excitement for SoTO, I'll hold off on the next expansion until I see what it truly offers. If you have any positive experiences with GW2, please share. All I can see now is the disheartening descent into "surprise CM maintenance mode." Good luck out there, and thanks for enduring this poorly articulated post.🙂
